Mark 15
1 And anone in ye dawnynge the hye prestes helde counsell wt ye elders and ye scribes and ye whoole cogregacion and bounde Iesus and ledde him awaye and delivered him to Pilate.
Sedan nu översteprästerna, tillsammans med de äldste och de skriftlärde, hela Stora rådet, på morgonen hade fattat sitt beslut, läto de strax binda Jesus och förde honom bort och överlämnade honom åt Pilatus.
2 And Pilate axed him: arte thou the kynge of the Iewes? And he answered and sayde vnto him: thou sayest it.
Då frågade Pilatus honom: »Är du judarnas konung?» Han svarade honom och sade: »Du säger det själv.»
3 And the hye prestes accused him of many thinges.
Och översteprästerna framställde många anklagelser mot honom.
4 Wherfore Pilate axed him agayne sayinge: Answerest thou nothinge? Beholde how many thinges they lay vnto thy charge.
Pilatus frågade honom då åter och sade: »Svarar du intet? Du hör ju huru mycket det är som de anklaga dig för.»
5 Iesus yet answered never aworde so that Pilate merveled.
Men Jesus svarade intet mer, så att Pilatus förundrade sig.
6 At that feast Pilate was wont to delivre at their pleasure a presoner: whomsoever they wolde desyre.
Nu plägade han vid högtiden giva dem en fånge lös, den som de begärde.
7 And ther was one named Barrabas which laye bounde with the that made insurreccion and in the insurreccion comitted murther.
Och där fanns då en man, han som kallades Barabbas, vilken satt fängslad jämte de andra som hade gjort upplopp och under upploppet begått dråp.
8 And ye people called vnto him and began to desyre accordinge as he had ever done vnto them.
Folket kom ditupp och begynte begära att han skulle göra åt dem såsom han plägade göra.
9 Pylate answered them and sayd: Will ye that I lowse vnto you the kynge of the Iewes?
Pilatus svarade dem och sade: »Viljen I att jag skall giva eder 'judarnas konung' lös?»
10 For he knewe that the hye Prestes had delyvered him of envy.
Han förstod nämligen att det var av avund som översteprästerna hade dragit Jesus inför rätta.
11 But the hye prestes had moved the people that he shuld rather delyvre Barrabas vnto them.
Men översteprästerna uppeggade folket till att begära att han hellre skulle giva dem Barabbas lös.
12 And Pylate answered agayne and sayd vnto the: What will ye then that I do wt him whom ye call ye kynge of ye Iewes?
När alltså Pilatus åter tog till orda och frågade dem: »Vad skall jag då göra med den som I kallen 'judarnas konung'?»,
13 And they cryed agayne: crucifie him.
så skriade de åter: »Korsfäst honom!»
14 Pylate sayde vnto them: What evell hath he done? And they cryed ye moore fervently: crucifie him.
Men Pilatus frågade dem: »Vad ont har han då gjort?» Då skriade de ännu ivrigare: »Korsfäst honom!»
15 And so Pylate willinge to content the people lowsed them Barrabas and delyvered Iesus when he had scourged him for to be crucified.
Och eftersom Pilatus ville göra folket till viljes, gav han dem Barabbas lös; men Jesus lät han gissla och utlämnade honom sedan till att korsfästas.
16 And the souddeers ledde him awaye into ye commen hall and called togedder the whoole multitude
Och krigsmännen förde honom in i palatset, eller pretoriet, och kallade tillhopa hela den romerska vakten.
17 and they clothed him with purple and they platted a croune of thornes and crouned him with all
Och de klädde på honom en purpurfärgad mantel och vredo samman en krona av törnen och satte den på honom.
18 and beganne to salute him. Hayle kynge of the Iewes.
Sedan begynte de hälsa honom: »Hell dig, judarnas konung!»
19 And they smoote him on the heed wt a rede and spat apon him and kneled doune and worsheped him.
Och de slogo honom i huvudet med ett rör och spottade på honom; därvid böjde de knä och gåvo honom sin hyllning.
20 And when they had moocked him they toke the purple of him and put his awne cloothes on him and ledde him oute to crucifie him.
Och när de hade begabbat honom, klädde de av honom den purpurfärgade manteln och satte på honom hans egna kläder och förde honom ut för att korsfästa honom.
21 And they compelled one that passed by called Symon of Cyrene (which cam oute of the felde and was father of Alexander and Rufus) to beare his crosse.
Och en man som kom utifrån marken gick där fram, Simon från Cyrene, Alexanders och Rufus' fader; honom tvingade de att gå med och bära hans kors.
22 And they brought him to a place named Golgotha (which is by interpretacion the place of deed mens scoulles)
Och de förde honom till Golgataplatsen (det betyder huvudskalleplatsen).
23 and they gave him to drinke wyne myngled with myrte but he receaved it not.
Och de räckte honom vin, blandat med myrra, men han tog icke emot det.
24 And when they had crucified him they parted his garmentes castinge loottes for them what every man shulde have.
Och de korsfäste honom och delade sedan hans kläder mellan sig, genom att kasta lott om vad var och en skulle få.
25 And it was aboute ye thyrde houre and they crucified him.
Och det var vid tredje timmen som de korsfäste honom.
26 And the tytle of his cause was wrytten: The kynge of the Iewes.
Och den överskrift som man hade satt upp över honom, för att angiva vad han var anklagad för, hade denna lydelse: »Judarnas konung.»
27 And they crucified with him two theves: the one on the ryght honde and the other on his lyfte.
Och de korsfäste med honom två rövare, den ene på hans högra sida och den andre på hans vänstra.
28 And the scripture was fulfilled which sayeth: he was counted amonge the wicked.
29 And they that went by rayled on him: waggynge their heedes and sayinge: A wretche that destroyest the temple and byldest it in thre dayes:
Och de som gingo där förbi bespottade honom och skakade huvudet och sade: »Tvi dig, du som 'bryter ned templet och bygger upp det igen inom tre dagar'!
30 save thy sylfe and come doune from the crosse.
Hjälp dig nu själv, och stig ned från korset.»
31 Lyke wyse also mocked him ye hye preestes amonge them selves with the scribes and sayde: He saved other men him sylfe he cannot save.
Sammalunda talade ock översteprästerna, jämte de skriftlärde, begabbande ord med varandra och sade: »Andra har han hjälpt; sig själv kan han icke hjälpa.
32 Let Christ the kynge of Israel now descende from the crosse that we maye se and beleve. And they that were crucified with him checked him also.
Han som är Messias, Israels konung, han stige nu ned från korset, så att vi få se det och tro.» Också de män som voro korsfästa med honom smädade honom.
33 And when the sixte houre was come darknes aroose over all the erth vntyll ye nynthe houre.
Men vid sjätte timmen kom över hela landet ett mörker, som varade ända till nionde timmen.
34 And at the nynthe houre Iesus cryed with a loude voyce sayinge: Eloi Eloi lamaasbathani which is yf it be interpreted: my God my God why hast thou forsaken me?
Och vid nionde timmen ropade Jesus med hög röst: »Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktani?»; det betyder: »Min Gud, min Gud, varför har du övergivit mig?»
35 And some of them that stode by when they hearde yt sayde: beholde he calleth for Helyas
Då några av dem som stodo där bredvid hörde detta, sade de: »Hör, han kallar på Elias.»
36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of veneger and put it on a rede and gave him to drinke sayinge: let him alone let vs se whether Helyas will come and take him doune.
Men en av dem skyndade fram och fyllde en svamp med ättikvin och satte den på ett rör och gav honom att dricka, i det han sade: »Låt oss se om Elias kommer och tager honom ned.»
37 But Iesus cryed with aloude voyce and gave vp the gooste.
Men Jesus ropade med hög röst och gav upp andan.
38 And the vayle of the temple dyd rent in two peces from the toppe to the boottome.
Då rämnade förlåten i templet i två stycken, uppifrån och ända ned.
39 And when the Centurion which stode before him sawe that he so cryed and gave vp the gooste he sayd: truly this man was the sonne of God.
Men när hövitsmannen, som stod där mitt emot honom, såg att han på sådant sätt gav upp andan, sade han: »Förvisso var denne man Guds Son.»
40 Ther were also wemen a good waye of beholdinge him: amonge whom was Mary Magdalen and Mary the mother of Iames the lytle and of Ioses and Mary Salome
Också några kvinnor stodo där på avstånd och sågo vad som skedde. Bland dessa voro jämväl Maria från Magdala och den Maria som var Jakob den yngres och Joses' moder, så ock Salome
41 which also when he was in Galile folowed him and ministred vnto him and many other wemen which came vp with him to Hierusalem.
-- vilka hade följt honom och tjänat honom, medan han var i Galileen -- därtill många andra kvinnor, de som med honom hade vandrat upp till Jerusalem.
42 And now when nyght was come (because it was ye even that goeth before ye saboth)
Det var nu tillredelsedag (det är dagen före sabbaten), och det hade blivit afton.
43 Ioseph of Arimathia a noble councelour which also loked for ye kyngdome of God came and went in booldly vnto Pylate and begged ye boddy of Iesu.
Josef från Arimatea, en ansedd rådsherre och en av dem som väntade på Guds rike, tog därför nu mod till sig och gick in till Pilatus och utbad sig att få Jesu kropp.
44 And Pylate merveled that he was alredy deed and called vnto him ye Centurion and axed of him whether he had bene eny whyle deed.
Då förundrade sig Pilatus över att Jesus redan skulle vara död, och han kallade till sig hövitsmannen och frågade honom om det var länge sedan han hade dött.
45 And when he knewe the trueth of the Centurion he gave ye body to Ioseph.
Och när han av hövitsmannen hade fått veta huru det var, skänkte han åt Josef hans döda kropp.
46 And he bought a lynnen cloothe and toke him doune and wrapped him in ye lynnen cloothe and layde him in a tombe yt was hewen oute of ye rocke and rolled a stone vnto the doze of the sepulcre.
Denne köpte då en linneduk och tog honom ned och svepte honom i linneduken och lade honom i en grav som var uthuggen i en klippa; sedan vältrade han en sten för ingången till graven.
47 And Mary Magdalen and Mary Ioses beheld where he was layde.
