Mark 12
1 And he beganne to speake vnto them in similitudes. A certayne man planted a vineyarde and copased it with an hedge and ordeyned a wyne presse and bylt a toure in yt. And let yt out to hyre vnto husbandme and went into a straunge countre.
വീണ്ടും അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട് സാദൃശ്യകഥകളിലൂടെ സംസാരിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി: “ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചു. അയാൾ അതിനുചുറ്റും വേലികെട്ടി, അതിൽ മുന്തിരിചവിട്ടാൻ കുഴികുഴിച്ചു, ഒരു കാവൽഗോപുരവും പണിതു. അതിനുശേഷം ആ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് ചില കർഷകർക്ക് പാട്ടത്തിനേൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ട്, വിദേശത്തുപോയി.
2 And when the tyme was come he sent to the tennauntes a servaunt that he myght receave of the tenauntes of the frute of the vyneyarde.
വിളവെടുപ്പുകാലം ആയപ്പോൾ, പാട്ടക്കർഷകരിൽനിന്ന് മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിലെ വിളവിൽ തനിക്കുള്ള ഓഹരി ശേഖരിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു.
3 And they caught him and bet him and sent him agayne emptye.
എന്നാൽ, അവർ അവനെ പിടിച്ച് മർദിക്കുകയും വെറുംകൈയോടെ തിരികെ അയയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
4 And moreoever he sent vnto them another servaunt and at him they cast stones and brake his heed and sent him agayne all to revyled.
മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; അവർ ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ തലയിൽ മുറിവേൽപ്പിക്കുകയും അപമാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
5 And agayne he sent another and him they kylled: and many other beetynge some and kyllinge some.
അദ്ദേഹം വീണ്ടും മറ്റൊരാളെ അയച്ചു; അയാളെ അവർ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. മറ്റു പലരെയും ഇതുപോലെ അദ്ദേഹം അയച്ചു; അവരിൽ ചിലരെ അവർ അടിക്കുകയും ചിലരെ കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു.
6 Yet had he one sonne whom he loved tenderly him also he sent at the last vnto them sayinge: they wyll feare my sonne.
“അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഇനി ഒരാളെമാത്രമേ അയയ്ക്കാൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ—താൻ സ്നേഹിച്ച മകൻ. ‘എന്റെ മകനെ അവർ ആദരിക്കും,’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് അവസാനം അദ്ദേഹം അവനെ അയച്ചു.
7 But the tenauntes sayde amongest them selves: this is the heyre: come let vs kyll hym and ye inheritauce shalbe oures.
“എന്നാൽ ആ കർഷകർ മകനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ പരസ്പരം ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു, ‘ഇവനാണ് അവകാശി; വരൂ, നമുക്ക് ഇവനെ കൊന്നുകളയാം; എങ്കിൽ ഇതിനെല്ലാം നാം അവകാശികളാകും.’
8 And they toke him and kyllid him and cast him out of the vyneyarde.
അങ്ങനെ അവർ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു കൊന്ന്, മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന് വെളിയിൽ എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.
9 What shall then the lorde of the vyneyarde do? He will come and destroye ye tenauntes and let out the vyneyarde to other.
“മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ ഇനി എങ്ങനെയാണ് പ്രതികരിക്കുക? അദ്ദേഹം വന്ന് ആ പാട്ടക്കർഷകരെ വധിച്ച് മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് വേറെ ആളുകളെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കും.
10 Have ye not redde this scripture? The stoone which ye bylders dyd refuse is made ye chefe stoone in ye corner:
“‘ശില്പികൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച ആ കല്ലുതന്നെ മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീർന്നു; ഇത് കർത്താവ് ചെയ്തു; നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ആശ്ചര്യകരവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു,’ എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്ത് നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലേ?”
11 this was done of ye Lorde and is mervelous in oure eyes.
12 And they went about to take him but they feared the people. For they perceaved that he spake that similitude agaynst them. And they left him and went their waye.
യേശു ഈ സാദൃശ്യകഥ തങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടാണ് പറഞ്ഞതെന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട്, പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരും വേദജ്ഞരും സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ബന്ധനസ്ഥനാക്കാൻ മാർഗം ആരാഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ അവർ ജനരോഷം ഭയപ്പെട്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിട്ട് അവിടെനിന്നു പോയി.
13 And they sent vnto him certayne of ye Pharises with Herodes servantes to take him in his wordes.
പിന്നീട് അവർ യേശുവിനെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ കുടുക്കുന്നതിനു ചില പരീശന്മാരെയും ഹെരോദ്യരെയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.
14 And assone as they were come they sayd vnto him: master we knowe yt thou arte true and carest for no man: for thou consyderest not the degre of men but teachest the waye of God truly: Ys it laufull to paye tribute to Cesar or not?
അവർ വന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോട്: “ഗുരോ, അങ്ങ് സത്യസന്ധനാണ്; അങ്ങ് പക്ഷപാതം കാണിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആർക്കും അങ്ങയെ സ്വാധീനിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല. ദൈവികമാർഗം അങ്ങ് സത്യസന്ധമായിമാത്രം പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ട്, “റോമൻ കൈസർക്ക് നികുതി കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ശരിയാണോ?
15 Ought we to geve or ought we not to geve? He vnderstode their simulacion and sayde vnto them: Why tepte ye me? Brynge me a peny that I maye se yt.
ഞങ്ങൾ കൊടുക്കണമോ കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കണമോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. യേശു അവരുടെ കൗശലം മനസ്സിലാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു: “നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കുടുക്കാൻ തുനിയുന്നതെന്തിന്? ഒരു റോമൻ നാണയം കൊണ്ടുവരൂ, അതു ഞാൻ നോക്കട്ടെ.”
16 And they brought. And he sayde vnto them: Whose ys thys ymage and superscripcion? And they sayde vnto him Cesars.
അവർ ഒരു റോമൻ നാണയം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. യേശു അവരോട്, “ഇതിൽ മുദ്രണം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന രൂപവും ലിഖിതവും ആരുടേത്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. “കൈസറുടേത്” അവർ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
17 And Iesus answered and saide vnto the: Then geve to Cesar that which belongeth to Cesar: and to God that which perteyneth to God. And they mervelled at him.
അപ്പോൾ യേശു, “കൈസർക്ക് നൽകേണ്ടത് കൈസർക്കും ദൈവത്തിന് നൽകേണ്ടത് ദൈവത്തിനും നൽകുക” എന്ന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മറുപടികേട്ട് അവർ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
18 Then came the Saduces vnto him which saye ther is no resurreccion. And they axed hym sayinge:
പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ലെന്നു വാദിക്കുന്ന സദൂക്യർ ഒരു ചോദ്യവുമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു.
19 Master Moses wroote vnto vs yf eny mans brother dye and leve his wyfe behinde him and leve no chyldren: that then hys brother shuld take his wyfe and reyse vp seed vnto his brother.
അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചു: “ഗുരോ, ഒരാളുടെ സഹോദരൻ മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോകുകയും ഭാര്യ ശേഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ അയാൾ ആ വിധവയെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു സഹോദരനുവേണ്ടി മക്കളെ ജനിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നു മോശ കൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.
20 Ther were seven brethren: and the fyrst toke a wyfe and when he dyed leeft no seed behynde him.
ഒരിടത്ത് ഏഴ് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒന്നാമൻ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു, മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനായി മരിച്ചു.
21 And the seconde toke hir and dyed: nether leeft eny seed. And the thyrde lyke wyse.
രണ്ടാമൻ ആ വിധവയെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു; അയാളും മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു. മൂന്നാമനും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ സംഭവിച്ചു.
22 And seve had her and leeft no seed behynde them. Last of all the wyfe dyed also.
ഇങ്ങനെ ഏഴുപേരും മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരായി മരിച്ചു; ഒടുവിൽ ആ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
23 In the resurreccio then when they shall ryse agayne: whose wyfe shall she be of them? For seven had her to wyfe.
അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ പുനരുത്ഥിതജീവിതത്തിൽ അവൾ ആരുടെ ഭാര്യയായിരിക്കും? അവർ ഏഴുപേരും അവളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നല്ലോ!”
24 Iesus answered and sayde vnto them: Are ye not therfore deceaved and vnderstonde not the scryptures nether the power of God?
അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു: “തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളും ദൈവശക്തിയും അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ടല്ലേ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തെറ്റുപറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നത്?
25 For when they shall ryse agayne fro deeth they nether mary nor are maryed: but are as the angels which are in heven.
മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുമ്പോൾ വിവാഹംകഴിക്കുകയോ വിവാഹംകഴിപ്പിച്ചയയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; അവർ സ്വർഗീയദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിക്കും.
26 As touchynge the deed that they shall ryse agayne: have ye not redde in the boke of Moses howe in the busshe God spake vnto him sayinge: I am the God of Abraham and God of Ysaac and the God of Iacob?
എന്നാൽ, മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ: മോശയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ മുൾപ്പടർപ്പിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിവരിക്കുന്നിടത്ത് ‘ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു’ എന്നു ദൈവം മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലേ?
27 He is not the God of the deed but the God of the livynge. Ye are therfore greatly deceaved.
അവിടന്ന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, പിന്നെയോ, ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമാണ്. നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വലിയ അബദ്ധം പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.”
28 And ther came one of the scribes that had hearde them disputynge to gedder and perceaved that he had answered them well and axed him: Which is the fyrste of all the commaundemetes?
അവർ ചർച്ചചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നത് അവിടെ വന്ന വേദജ്ഞരിൽ ഒരാൾ കേട്ടു. യേശു അവർക്കു കൊടുത്ത നല്ല മറുപടി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിട്ട് അയാൾ യേശുവിനോട്, “കൽപ്പനകളിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളത് ഏതാണ്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
29 Iesus answered him: the fyrste of all the comaundementes is. Heare Israel: The Lorde God is one Lorde.
അതിന് യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു, “ഇതാണ് ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട കൽപ്പന: ‘ഇസ്രായേലേ, കേൾക്കുക, കർത്താവ് നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം, കർത്താവ് ഏകൻതന്നെ;
30 And thou shalt love the Lorde thy God with all thy hert and with all thy soule and with all thy mynde and with all thy strength. This is the fyrste commaundement.
നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിനെ നീ സമ്പൂർണഹൃദയത്താലും സമ്പൂർണാത്മാവിനാലും സമ്പൂർണമനസ്സാലും സമ്പൂർണശക്തിയാലും സ്നേഹിക്കണം.’
31 And the seconde is lyke vnto this: Thou shalt love thy neghbour as thy silfe. Ther is none other commaundement greater then these.
രണ്ടാമത്തേത്, ‘നീ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ നിന്റെ അയൽവാസിയെയും സ്നേഹിക്കണം’ എന്നതാണ്. ഇവയെക്കാൾ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള കൽപ്പന വേറെ ഇല്ല.”
32 And the Scribe sayde vnto him: well master thou hast sayd ye truthe that ther ys one God and that ther is none but he.
“ഗുരോ, അങ്ങു പറഞ്ഞതു ശരി; ദൈവം ഏകനെന്നും അവിടന്നല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു ദൈവമില്ലെന്നും അങ്ങു പറഞ്ഞതു ശരിതന്നെ.
33 And to love him with all the herte and with all the mynde and with all the soule and with all the stregth: and to love a mans neghbour as him silfe ys a greater thinge then all burntofferings and sacrifices.
സമ്പൂർണഹൃദയത്താലും സമ്പൂർണമനസ്സാലും സമ്പൂർണശക്തിയാലും ദൈവത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും നീ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ നിന്റെ അയൽവാസിയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതും എല്ലാ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെക്കാളും ബലികളെക്കാളും അധികം പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ളതാണ്” എന്നായിരുന്നു അയാളുടെ മറുപടി.
34 And when Iesus sawe that he answered discretly he sayde vnto him: Thou arte not farre from the kyngdome of God. And no man after that durst axe him eny questio.
അയാളുടെ വിവേകപൂർവമായ മറുപടികേട്ടിട്ട് യേശു, “നീ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് അകലെയല്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് കൂടുതൽ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കാൻ ആർക്കും ധൈര്യം ഉണ്ടായില്ല.
35 And Iesus answered and sayde teachynge in the temple: how saye the Scribes yt Christ is the sonne of David?
പിന്നീടൊരിക്കൽ യേശു ദൈവാലയാങ്കണത്തിൽ വന്നുചേർന്ന ജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചു: “ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രനാണ് ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു വേദജ്ഞർ പറയുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?
36 for David him selfe inspyred with the holy goost sayde: The Lorde sayde to my Lorde syt on my right honde tyll I make thyne enemyes thy fote stole.
ദാവീദ് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ പ്രേരിതനായി, “‘ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ ചവിട്ടടിയിലാക്കുംവരെ നീ എന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ഉപവിഷ്ടനാകുക,’ എന്നു കർത്താവ് എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചല്ലോ!
37 Then David hym silfe calleth him Lorde: and by what meanes is he then his sonne? And moche people hearde him gladly.
ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദുതന്നെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ‘കർത്താവേ’ എന്നു സംബോധന ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?” ആ വലിയ ജനക്കൂട്ടം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ കേട്ടു.
38 And he sayde vnto them in his doctrine: beware of the Scribes which love to goo in longe clothinge: and love salutacions in ye market places
യേശു തുടർന്ന് ഉപദേശിക്കവേ, ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു: “വേദജ്ഞരെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. അവർ സ്വന്തം പദവി പ്രകടമാക്കുന്ന നീണ്ട പുറങ്കുപ്പായം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ചന്തസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നടന്ന് അഭിവാദനം സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
39 and the chefe seates in the synagoges and to syt in the vppermost roumes at feastes
പള്ളികളിൽ പ്രധാന ഇരിപ്പിടങ്ങളും വിരുന്നുകളിൽ ആദരണീയർക്കായി വേർതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഇരിപ്പിടവും അവർ മോഹിക്കുന്നു.
40 and devoure widowes houses and that vnder coloure of longe prayinge. These shall receave greater dampnacion.
അവർ വിധവകളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് നിർലജ്ജം അപഹരിച്ചിട്ട് കേവലം പ്രകടനാത്മകമായ നീണ്ട പ്രാർഥനകൾ ചൊല്ലുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ അതിഭീകരമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.”
41 And Iesus sat over agaynst the treasury and behelde how the people put money in to the treasury. And many that were ryche cast in moch.
പിന്നീട് യേശു വഴിപാടുകൾ അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിനെതിരേ ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ട്, ജനക്കൂട്ടം ദൈവാലയഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ കാണിക്ക ഇടുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. ധനികർ പലരും വൻതുകകൾ ഇട്ടു.
42 And ther cam a certayne povre widowe and she threwe in two mytes which make a farthynge.
എന്നാൽ ദരിദ്രയായ ഒരു വിധവ വന്നു വളരെ ചെറിയ രണ്ട് ചെമ്പുനാണയങ്ങൾ ഇട്ടു. അതിന് ഒരു പൈസയുടെ വിലമാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ.
43 And he called vnto him his disciples and sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you that this pover widowe hath cast moare in then all they which have caste into the treasury.
യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ച് അവരോട്, “ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽ മറ്റെല്ലാവരും ഇട്ടതിലും അധികം ദരിദ്രയായ ഈ വിധവ ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, നിശ്ചയം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
44 For they all dyd cast in of their superfluyte: but she of her poverte dyd cast in all that she had eve all her livynge.
മറ്റെല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പൽസമൃദ്ധിയിൽനിന്നാണ് അർപ്പിച്ചത്; ഇവളോ, സ്വന്തം ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിൽനിന്ന്, തന്റെ ഉപജീവനത്തിനുള്ള വക മുഴുവൻ അർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
