Luke 20
1 And yt fortuned in one of those dayes as he taught the people in the temple and preached the gospell: the hye prestes and the scribes came with the elders
Certa vez, quando Jesus estava ensinando às pessoas no Templo, dizendo para elas sobre as boas novas do Reino de Deus, alguns chefes dos sacerdotes e dos educadores religiosos chegaram com os anciãos do povo.
2 and spake vnto him sayinge. Tell vs by what auctorite thou doest these thinges? Ether who is he yt gave ye this auctorite?
Eles perguntaram a Jesus: “Diga-nos, com a autoridade de quem você está fazendo essas coisas? Quem lhe deu o direito de fazer isso?”
3 He answered and saide vnto the: I also will axe you a questio and answer me.
Jesus respondeu: “Deixem-me também fazer uma pergunta a vocês. Digam-me:
4 The baptyme of Iohn: was it from heaven or of men?
O batismo de João vinha do céu ou era apenas uma ação humana?”
5 And they thought with in them selves sayinge: yf we shall saye from heave: he will saye: why then beleved ye him not?
Eles conversaram sobre isso entre eles: “Se dissermos que era do céu, ele perguntará: ‘Então, por que vocês não acreditaram nele?’
6 But and yf we shall saye of men all ye people will stone vs. For they be persuaded that Ihon is a Prophet.
E se dissermos que vinha dos homens, todos aqui irão nos apedrejar, pois eles têm certeza de que João era um profeta.”
7 And they answered that they coulde not tell whence it was.
Assim eles responderam: “Nós não sabemos!”
8 And Iesus sayde vnto them: nether tell I you by what auctorite I do these thinges.
Jesus respondeu: “Então, não direi a vocês quem me deu autoridade para fazer o que faço.”
9 Then begane he to put forthe to the people this similitude. A certayne man planted a vyneyarde and let it forthe to fermers and went him selfe into a straunge countre for a greate season.
Depois, ele começou a contar uma história para as pessoas: “Havia um homem que fez uma plantação de uvas. Ele então, arrendou essa área para alguns lavradores e foi morar em outro país por um longo tempo.
10 And when the tyme was come he sent a servaut to his tennauntes that they shuld geve him of the frutes of the vyneyarde. And the tennauntes dyd bet him and sent him awaye empty.
Na época da colheita, ele enviou um empregado para receber dos lavradores a sua parte. Mas, os lavradores bateram no empregado e o mandaram embora sem nada.
11 And agayne he sent yet another servaunt. And they dyd bet him and foule entreated him also and sent him awaye emptye.
Depois, o proprietário enviou outro empregado, mas eles bateram nele também e o trataram vergonhosamente. Esse empregado também voltou sem conseguir receber nada.
12 Moreover he sent the thyrde to and him they wouded and cast out.
O dono das terras enviou um terceiro empregado, mas eles bateram nele e o expulsaram.
13 Then sayde the lorde of the vyneyarde: what shall I do? I will sende my deare sonne him peradventure they will reverence when they se him.
O dono da lavoura pensou: ‘O que eu devo fazer? Já sei! Enviarei o meu filho, que amo muito. Talvez, eles o respeitarão.’
14 But when the fermers sawe him they thought in them selves sayinge: this is the heyre come let vs kyll him that the inheritaunce maye be oures.
Mas, quando os lavradores o viram chegando, disseram uns aos outros: ‘Este é o herdeiro do proprietário das terras. Vamos matá-lo! Assim, poderemos ficar com a herança.’
15 And they cast him out of the vyneyarde and kylled him. Now what shall the Lorde of the vyneyarde do vnto them?
Eles o expulsaram da plantação e o mataram. E agora? O que o dono da plantação de uvas fará com os homens que mataram o seu filho?
16 He will come and destroye those fermers and will let out his vyneyarde to other. When they hearde that they sayde: God forbyd.
Ele virá e matará esses lavradores e arrendará a plantação a outros.” Quando eles ouviram a história, disseram: “Que isso nunca aconteça!”
17 And he behelde them and sayde: what meaneth this then yt is wrytten: The stone that the bylders refused the same is made ye heed corner stone?
Mas, Jesus olhou para eles e disse: “Então, por que está escrito nas Sagradas Escrituras: ‘A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram, agora se tornou a base da construção?’
18 whosoever stomble at that stone shalbe broken: but on whosoever it faul vpon it wyll grynde him to powder.
Quem cair sobre essa pedra será partido em pedaços. E, se a pedra cair sobre alguém, essa pessoa será esmagada.”
19 And the hye Prestes and the Scribes the same howre went about to laye hondes on him but they feared the people. For they perceaved that he had spoken this similitude agaynst them.
Os educadores religiosos e os chefes dos sacerdotes queriam prendê-lo imediatamente, pois perceberam que a história de Jesus dizia respeito a eles. Mas, eles tinham medo de como as pessoas que estavam ali reagiriam.
20 And they watched him and sent forth spies which shuld fayne them selves perfecte to take him in his wordes and to delyvre him vnto the power and auctorite of the debite.
Esperando por uma oportunidade, eles enviaram espiões, que fingiam ser sinceros. Eles tentavam pegar Jesus, usando algo que ele dissesse. Se encontrassem uma prova, poderiam entregá-lo à autoridade do governador.
21 And they axed him sayinge: Master we knowe that thou sayest and teachest ryght nother cosiderest thou eny manes degre but teachest the waye of God truly.
Eles disseram: “Mestre, nós sabemos que você fala e ensina o que é bom e certo e que você não se deixa convencer pelas opiniões dos outros. Você verdadeiramente ensina o caminho de Deus.
22 Ys it laufull for vs to geve Cesar tribute or no?
Então, devemos pagar impostos ao imperador, ou não?”
23 He perceaved their craftynes and sayde vnto them: why tept ye me?
Mas, Jesus percebendo a má intenção deles, lhes disse:
24 Shewe me a peny. Whose ymage and superscripcio hath it? They answered and sayde: Cesars.
“Mostre-me uma moeda de um denário. De quem é a imagem e o nome inscrito nela?” Eles responderam: “Do imperador.”
25 And he sayde vnto them: Geve then vnto Cesar that which belongeth vnto Cesar: and to God that which pertayneth to God.
Ele lhes disse: “Então, deem ao imperador o que pertence ao imperador. E deem a Deus o que pertence a Deus.”
26 And they coulde not reprove his sayinge before the people. But they marvayled at his answer and helde their peace.
Eles não conseguiram provas contra Jesus pelas coisas que ele dizia para as pessoas. Eles ficaram impressionados com sua resposta e se calaram.
27 Then came to him certayne of the Saduces which denye that ther is eny resurreccio. And they axed him
Então, alguns saduceus, os quais não acreditam na ressurreição, vieram até Jesus e lhe perguntaram:
28 sayinge: Master Moses wrote vnto vs if eny mannes brother dye havinge a wyfe and the same dye with out yssue: that then his brother shuld take his wyfe and reyse vp seede vnto his brother.
“Mestre, Moisés nos deu uma lei que diz que se um homem casado morrer, deixando a esposa sem filhos, o irmão dele deve se casar com a viúva e ter filhos, que serão considerados filhos do irmão que morreu.
29 Ther were seven brethren and the fyrste toke a wyfe and dyed with out children.
Certa vez, havia sete irmãos. O primeiro tinha uma esposa, e ele morreu sem deixar filhos.
30 And the seconde toke the wyfe and he dyed chyldlesse.
O segundo
31 And the thyrde toke her and in lyke wyse the resydue of the seven and leeft no chyldren be hynde them and dyed.
e depois o terceiro irmãos se casaram com ela. No final, todos os sete irmãos se casaram com ela e morreram sem deixar filhos.
32 Last of all the woma dyed also.
Finalmente, a mulher também morreu.
33 Now at the resurreccio whose wyfe of them shall she be? For seven had her to wyfe.
Então, como ela se casou com todos os sete irmãos, no dia da ressurreição, de qual deles ela será esposa?”
34 Iesus answered and sayde vnto them. The chyldre of this worlde mary wyves and are maryed (aiōn g165)
Jesus explicou: “Nesta época, as pessoas se casam e são dadas em casamento. (aiōn g165)
35 but they which shalbe made worthy to enioye that worlde and the resurreccion from deeth nether mary wyves nether are maryed (aiōn g165)
Mas, aquelas que são consideradas merecedoras de ter parte na época que chegará e na ressurreição não se casarão e nem serão dadas em casamento. (aiōn g165)
36 nor yet can dye eny moare. For they are equall vnto the angels: and are the sonnes of God in as moche as they are the chyldre of the resurreccion.
Elas não irão mais morrer e serão como anjos e são filhos de Deus, pois são filhos da ressurreição.
37 And that the deed shall ryse agayne even Moses signified besydes the busshe when he sayde: the Lorde God of Adraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Iacob.
Mas, sobre se os mortos podem reviver, até mesmo Moisés provou isso quando escreveu sobre o espinheiro em chamas. Quando ele diz ao Senhor: ‘o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó.’
38 For he is not the God of the deed but of them which live. For all live in him.
Ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas, sim, dos vivos, pois, para ele, todos vivem.”
39 Then certayne of the Pharises answered and sayde: Master thou hast well sayde.
Alguns dos educadores religiosos responderam: Essa foi uma boa resposta, Mestre!
40 And after that durst they not axe him eny question at all.
Depois disso, ninguém se atreveu a lhe perguntar mais nada.
41 Then sayde he vnto them: how saye they that Christ is Davids sonne?
Então, Jesus lhes perguntou: “Por que dizem que o Messias é filho de Davi?
42 And David him selfe sayth in the boke of the Psalmes: The Lorde sayde vnto my Lorde syt on my right honde
Pois o próprio Davi diz no livro dos Salmos: O Senhor Deus disse para o meu Senhor: ‘Sente-se a minha direita,
43 tyll I make thine enemys thy fothe stole.
até que eu faça de todos os seus inimigos como um estrado para os seus pés.’
44 Seinge David calleth him Lorde: How is he then his sonne.
Davi o chama ‘Senhor’, então, como ele pode ser filho de Davi?”
45 Then in the audience of all the people he sayde vnto his disciples
Enquanto todos prestavam atenção, Jesus disse aos discípulos:
46 beware of the Scribes which desyre to goo in longe clothinge: and love gretynges in the markets and the hyest seates in the synagoges and chefe roumes at feastes
“Cuidado com os líderes religiosos, que gostam de andar por aí com mantos compridos e de ser cumprimentados com respeito nas praças dos mercados. Eles gostam de ter os melhores lugares nas sinagogas e de se sentar nos lugares de honra nos banquetes.
47 which devoure widdowes houses and that vnder a coloure of longe prayinge: the same shall receave greater damnacion.
Eles enganam as viúvas, tirando o que elas têm, e escondem o tipo de pessoas que eles realmente são fazendo longas orações. Eles serão severamente castigados quando forem julgados.”
