John 7
1 After that Iesus wet about in Galile and wolde not go about in Iewry for the Iewes sought to kill him.
ⲁ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ. ⲛⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲟⲟϣⲉ ϩⲛ̅ϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ̅.
2 The Iewes tabernacle feast was at honde.
ⲃ̅ⲛⲉϥϩⲏⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡϣⲁ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉⲥⲕⲏⲛⲟⲡⲏⲅⲓⲁ.
3 His brethren therfore sayde vnto him: get ye hence and go into Iewry yt thy disciples maye se thy workes yt thou doest.
ⲅ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁⲩ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁϥ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉϥⲥⲛⲏⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲱⲱⲛⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲁ ⲛⲅ̅ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϯⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲁ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉⲕⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲛⲉⲕϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲕ̅ⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ.
4 For ther is no man yt doeth eny thing secretly and he him selfe seketh to be knowen. Yf thou do soche thinges shewe thy selfe to the worlde.
ⲇ̅ⲙⲉⲣⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲣ̅ϩⲱⲃ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϩⲱⲡ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ. ⲉϣϫⲉⲕⲉⲓⲣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈. ⲟⲩⲟⲛϩⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
5 For as yet his brethre beleved not in him.
ⲉ̅ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲁⲛ.
6 Then Iesus sayd vnto them: My tyme is not yet come youre tyme is all waye redy.
ⲋ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϭⲉ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅. ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧϥ̅ⲉ͡ⲓ. ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲥⲃ̅ⲧⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲥⲏⲩ ⲛⲓⲙ.
7 The worlde canot hate you. Me it hateth: because I testify of it that the workes of it are evyll.
ⲍ̅ⲙⲛϣϭⲟⲙ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲉⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ϥⲙⲟⲥⲧⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ϫⲉ ϯⲣ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲣⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉϥϩⲃⲏⲩⲉ ⲥⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ.
8 Go ye vp vnto this feast. I will not go vp yet vnto this feast for my tyme is not yet full come.
ⲏ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡϣⲁ. ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁϯⲛⲟⲩ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓ ⲉⲡⲉⲉ͡ⲓϣⲁ. ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧⲉⲡⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
9 These wordes he sayde vnto them and abode still in Galile.
ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉϥϫⲉⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲁϥϭⲱ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ.
10 But assone as his brethren were goone vp then went he also vp vnto the feast: not openly but as it were prevely.
ⲓ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡϣⲁ. ⲧⲟⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ϩⲱⲱϥ ⲁϥⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩϩⲱⲡ.
11 Then sought him the Iewes at ye feast and sayde: Where is he?
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ϭⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ ⲡⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲉϥⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲏ.
12 And moche murmurynge was ther of him amonge the people. Some sayde: He is good. Wother sayde naye but he deceaveth the people.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲟⲩⲕⲣⲙ̅ⲣⲙ̅ ⲉⲛⲁϣⲱϥ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲙ̅ⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ. ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲙⲉⲛ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ. ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉϥⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ.
13 How be it no ma spake openly of him for feare of the Iewes
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲙⲉⲛⲧⲟⲓ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲑⲟⲧⲉ ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈.
14 In ye middes of the feast Iesus went vp into the temple and taught.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲡ̅ϣⲁ ⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲁϥϯⲥⲃⲱ.
15 And the Iewes marveylled sayinge: How knoweth he ye scriptures seynge yt he never learned?
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲣ̅ϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲁϣ ⲛ̅ϩⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̅ⲥϩⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲙⲡⲟⲩⲧⲥⲁⲃⲟϥ.
16 Iesus answered them and sayde: My doctrine is not myne: but his that sent me.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲥⲃⲱ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲧⲁⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ.
17 If eny man will do his will he shall knowe of the doctrine whether it be of God or whether I speake of my selfe.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲉⲣϣⲁⲟⲩⲁ ⲣ̅ϩⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲟⲩⲱϣ ϥⲛⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲧⲉⲓ̈ⲥⲃⲱ ϫⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲧⲉ. ϫⲉⲛⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲉ͡ⲓϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲧ.
18 He that speaketh of him selfe seketh his awne prayse. But he that seketh his prayse that sent him the same is true and no vnrightewesnes is in him.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉⲧϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁϥ ⲉϥϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲡⲉϥⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲓⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ. ⲡⲉⲧϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲟⲩϥ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲩⲙⲉⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙⲛ̅ϫⲓ ⲛ̅ϭⲟⲛⲥ̅ ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅.
19 Dyd not Moses geve you a lawe and yet none of you kepeth ye lawe? Why goo ye aboute to kyll me?
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲙⲏ ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ. ⲁϩⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲙⲟⲩⲟⲩⲧ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈.
20 The people answered and sayde: thou hast the devyll: who goeth aboute to kyll the?
ⲕ̅ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ. ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓⲙⲟⲛⲓⲟⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲕ. ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲉⲧϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧⲕ̅.
21 Iesus answered and sayde to them: I have done one worke and ye all marvayle.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲟⲩϩⲱⲃ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲓ̈ⲁⲁϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲣ̅ϣⲡⲏⲣⲉ ⲧⲏⲣⲧⲛ̅
22 Moses therfore gave vnto you circumcision: not because it is of Moses but of the fathers. And yet ye on the Saboth daye circumcise a man.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ϯ ⲛⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ. ⲟⲩⲭ ⲟⲧⲓ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲧⲉ ⲡⲉ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ
23 If a man on the Saboth daye receave circumcision without breakinge of the lawe of Moses: disdayne ye at me because I have made a man every whit whoale on the saboth daye?
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲉϣϫⲉϣⲁⲣⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϫⲓⲥⲃ̅ⲃⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ϫⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ. ⲁϩⲣⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲟϭⲥ̅ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲧⲟⲩϫⲉⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲧⲏⲣϥ̅ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ.
24 Iudge not after the vtter aperaunce: but iudge rightewes iudgement.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲙ̅ⲡⲣ̅ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲟⲩⲙⲛⲧ̅ⲣⲉϥϫⲓϩⲟ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲙ̅ⲙⲉ.
25 Then sayd some of them of Ierusalem: Is not this he who they goo aboute to kyll?
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲛ̅ϩⲟⲓⲛⲉ ϭⲉ ϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲣⲙ̅ⲑⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱϥ ⲉⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧϥ̅.
26 Beholde he speaketh boldly and they saye nothinge to him. Do the rulars knowe in dede that this is very Christ?
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲓⲥϩⲏⲏⲡⲉ ϥϣⲁϫⲉ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲡⲁⲣⲣⲏⲥⲓⲁ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲥⲉϫⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ⲁⲛ. ⲙⲏⲡⲱⲥ ⲁⲩⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ⲛⲁⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
27 How be it we knowe this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh no man shall knowe whence he is.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ. ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉ͡ⲓ ⲙⲛ̅ⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛⲁⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ ⲡⲉ.
28 Then cryed Iesus in ye temple as he taught sayinge: ye knowe me and whence I am ye knowe. And yet I am not come of my selfe but he yt sent me is true whom ye knowe not.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ϭⲉ ⲁϥϫⲓϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲡⲉ ⲉϥϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲓ̈ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲅⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲧⲱⲛ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲓ̈ⲉⲓ ⲁⲛ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲓ̈ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩⲁⲁⲧ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲟⲩⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲉⲛⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ.
29 I knowe him: for I am of him and he hath sent me.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ ϯϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲁϩⲧⲏϥ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉⲧⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉ͡ⲓ.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no ma layde hondes on him because his tyme was not yet come.
ⲗ̅ⲛⲉⲩϣⲓⲛⲉ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲁϭⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲡⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲱϥ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧⲉⲧⲉϥⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉ͡ⲓ.
31 Many of the people beleved on him and sayde: when Christ cometh will he do moo miracles then this man hath done?
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲁϩⲁϩ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉ͡ⲓ ⲙⲏ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲣ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲙⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲛ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲁⲩ.
32 The pharises hearde that the people murmured suche thinges about him. Wherfore ye pharises and hye prestes sent ministres forthe to take him.
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ϭⲉ ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲩⲕⲣⲙ̅ⲣⲙ ⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲟⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉⲕⲁⲥ ⲉⲩⲉϭⲟⲡϥ̅.
33 Then sayde Iesus vnto the: Yet am I a lytell whyle with you and then goo I vnto him that sent me.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲓ̅ⲥ̅. ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲕⲉⲕⲟⲩⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲡⲉϯϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛⲙ̅ⲙⲏⲧⲛ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ϯⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ϣⲁⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲧⲁⲟⲩⲟⲉ͡ⲓ.
34 Ye shall seke me and shall not fynde me: and where I am thyther can ye not come.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲉ͡ⲓ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲉ͡ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
35 Then sayde the Iewes bitwene the selves: whyther will he goo that we shall not fynde him? Will he goo amonge the gentyls which are scattered all a broade and teache the gentyls?
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲛ̅ⲓ̈ⲟⲩⲇⲁⲓ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲩⲉⲣⲏⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉⲧⲱⲛ ϫⲉ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁϩⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲙⲏ ⲉϥⲛⲁⲃⲱⲕ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲧⲇⲓⲁⲥⲡⲟⲣⲁ ⲛ̅ⲛ̅ϩⲉⲗⲗⲏⲛ ⲛϥ̅ϯⲥⲃⲱ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲓ̈ⲉⲛⲓⲛ.
36 What maner of sayinge is this that he sayde: ye shall seke me and shall not fynde me: and where I am thyther can ye not come?
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲓ̈ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥϫⲟⲟϥ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲥⲱⲉ͡ⲓ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙ̅ϩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲙⲁ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉϯⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲛ̅ⲧⲱⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲉ͡ⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲣⲟϥ·
37 In the last daye that great daye of the feaste Iesus stode and cryed sayinge: If eny man thyrst let him come vnto me and drinke.
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡϩⲁⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲟϭ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲡϣⲁ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧϥ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛⲉϥⲁϣⲕⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲃⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲉ͡ⲓ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲱ.
38 He that beleveth on me as sayeth the scripture out of his belly shall flowe ryvers of water of lyfe.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲉ͡ⲓ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲛ̅ϩⲉⲛⲉ͡ⲓⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϩⲁⲧⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲟⲩ ⲉϥⲟⲛϩ̅.
39 This spak he of the sprete which they that beleved on him shuld receave. For the holy goost was not yet there because that Iesus was not yet glorifyed.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϥϫⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲉⲡⲛ̅ⲁ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁϫⲓⲧϥ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ. ⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧⲟⲩϫⲓⲡⲛ̅ⲁ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲁⲧϥ̅ϫⲓⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ.
40 Many of the people when they hearde this sayinge sayd: of a truth this is a prophet
ⲙ̅ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ϭⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲛⲉⲓ̈ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁⲙⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ.
41 Other sayde: this is Christ. Some sayde: shall Christ come out of Galile?
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ϩⲉⲛⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅. ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ.
42 Sayeth not the scripture that Christ shall come of the seed of David: and out of the toune of Bethleem where David was?
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲧⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲁⲛ ϫⲟⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛⲏⲩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲥⲡⲉⲣⲙⲁ ⲛ̅ⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲃⲏⲑⲗⲉⲉⲙ ⲡϯⲙⲉ (ⲉⲛ)ⲉⲣⲉⲇⲁⲩⲉⲓⲇ ϣⲟⲟⲡ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅.
43 So was ther dissencion amonge the people aboute him.
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲁⲩⲡⲱⲣϫ ϭⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲏⲏⲧϥ̅.
44 And some of them wolde have taken him: but no man layed hondes on him.
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ϩⲟⲓ̈ⲛⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲉϭⲟⲡϥ̅ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉϥϭⲓϫ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲉϫⲱϥ.
45 Then came ye ministres to ye hye prestes and pharises. And they sayde vnto the: why have ye not brought him?
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲩⲃⲱⲕ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ϣⲁⲛⲁⲣⲭⲓⲉⲣⲉⲩⲥ ⲛⲙ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲉⲛⲏ ⲛⲁⲩ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲧϥ̅.
46 The servautes answered never man spake as this man doeth.
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛ̅ϩⲩⲡⲏⲣⲉⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ϣⲁϫⲉ ⲉⲛⲉϩ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲣⲱⲙⲉ.
47 Then answered the the pharises: are ye also disceaved?
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ϭⲓⲛⲉⲫⲁⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲧⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲗⲁⲛⲁ ϩⲱⲧⲧⲏⲩⲧⲛ̅.
48 Doth eny of the rulers or of the pharises beleve on him?
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ⲙⲏ ⲁⲗⲁⲁⲩ ⲡⲓⲥⲧⲉⲩⲉ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲁⲣⲭⲱⲛ ⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲫⲏⲣⲓⲥⲁⲓⲟⲥ.
49 But the comen people whiche knowe not ye lawe are cursed.
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲡⲉⲓ̈ⲙⲏⲏϣⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲛϥ̅ⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲥⲉϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲁⲡⲥⲁϩⲟⲩ.
50 Nicodemus sayde vnto them: He that came to Iesus by nyght and was one of them.
ⲛ̅ⲡⲉϫⲉⲛⲓⲕⲟⲇⲏⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲉ͡ⲓ ϣⲁⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ.
51 Doth oure lawe iudge eny man before it heare him and knowe what he hath done?
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲕⲣⲓⲛⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲏⲧⲓ ⲛϥ̅ⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲛ̅ϣⲟⲣⲡ̅ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϥ̅ⲉ͡ⲓⲙⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧϥ̅ⲉ͡ⲓⲣⲉ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ.
52 They answered and sayde vnto him: arte thou also of Galile? Searche and loke for out of Galile aryseth no Prophet.
ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣⲃ̅ ⲉⲩϫⲱ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ. ϫⲉ ⲙⲏ ⲛⲧ̅ⲕⲟⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲱⲱⲕ ⲟⲛ ⲛ̅ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ. ϩⲟⲧϩⲧ ⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲅⲣⲁⲫⲏ ⲛⲅ̅ⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲉⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲁⲓⲁ.
53 And every man went vnto his awne housse.
