For it is the will of my Father that every one who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have Immortal Life; and I myself will raise him up at the Last Day.” (aiōnios g166)
This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have consummate (aiōnios g166) life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
In truth I tell you, he who believes in me has Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
I am the Living Bread that has come down from Heaven. If any one eats of this Bread, he will live for ever; and the Bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I will give for the Life of the world.” (aiōn g165)
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live in this age (aiōn g165). Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."
He who takes my flesh for his food, and drinks my blood, has Immortal Life; and I will raise him up at the Last Day. (aiōnios g166)
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has consummate (aiōnios g166) life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
That is the Bread which has come down from Heaven — not such as your ancestors ate, and yet died; he who takes this Bread for his food shall live for ever.” (aiōn g165)
This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as our fathers ate, and died. He who eats this bread will live in this age (aiōn g165)."
But Simon Peter answered: “Master, to whom shall we go? Immortal Life is in your teaching; (aiōnios g166)
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
And a slave does not remain in the home always; but a son remains always. (aiōn g165)
A bondservant does not live in the house for life (aiōn g165). A son remains for a lifetime (aiōn g165).
In truth I tell you, if any one lays my Message to heart, he will never really die.” (aiōn g165)
Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death in this age (aiōn g165)."
“Now we are sure that you are possessed by a demon,” the Jews replied. “Abraham died, and so did the Prophets; and yet you say ‘If any one lays my Message to heart, he will never know death.’ (aiōn g165)
Then the Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, as did the prophets; and you say, 'If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death in this age (aiōn g165).'
Since the world began, such a thing was never heard of as any one’s giving sight to a person born blind. (aiōn g165)
From the age (aiōn g165) it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.
and I give them Immortal Life, and they shall not be lost; nor shall any one snatch them out of my hands. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
I give consummate (aiōnios g166) life to them. They will never perish in this age (aiōn g165), and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
and he who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (aiōn g165)
Whoever lives and believes in me will never die in this age (aiōn g165). Do you believe this?"
He who loves his life loses it; while he who hates his life in the present world shall preserve it for Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it for consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
“We,” replied the people, “have learned from the Law that the ‘Christ is to remain for ever’; how is it, then, that you say that the Son of Man must be ‘lifted up’ Who is this ‘Son of Man’?” (aiōn g165)
The multitude answered him, "We have heard from of the law that the Christ remains for this age (aiōn g165). How do you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?"
And I know that Immortal Life lies in keeping his command. Therefore, whatever I say, I say only what the Father has taught me.” (aiōnios g166)
I know that his commandment is consummate (aiōnios g166) life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak."
“You shall never wash my feet!” exclaimed Peter. “Unless I wash you,” answered Jesus, “you have nothing in common with me.” (aiōn g165)
Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet in this lifetime (aiōn g165)!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me."
and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you always — the Spirit of Truth. (aiōn g165)
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you in this age (aiōn g165):
even as thou gavest him power over all mankind, that he should give Immortal Life to all those whom thou has given him. (aiōnios g166)
even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give consummate (aiōnios g166) life to all whom you have given him.
And the Immortal Life is this — to know thee the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent as thy Messenger. (aiōnios g166)
This is consummate (aiōnios g166) life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the Place of Death, Nor surrender me, your holy one, to undergo corruption. (Hadēs g86)
because you will not leave my soul in Hades (Hadēs g86), neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.
and referred to the resurrection of the Christ when he said that ‘he had not been abandoned to the Place of Death, nor had his body undergone corruption.’ (Hadēs g86)
he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left in Hades (Hadēs g86), and his flesh did not see decay.
But Heaven must be his home, until the days of the Universal Restoration, of which God has spoken by the lips of his holy Prophets from the very first. (aiōn g165)
whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke from the age (aiōn g165) by the mouth of his holy prophets.
Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out fearlessly, and said: “It was necessary that the Message of God should be told to you first; but, since you reject it and reckon yourselves not worthy of the Immortal Life — we turn to the Gentiles! (aiōnios g166)
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of consummate (aiōnios g166) life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.
On hearing this, the Gentiles were glad and extolled God’s Message; and all those who had been enrolled for Immortal Life became believers in Christ; (aiōnios g166)
As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to consummate (aiōnios g166) life believed.
Says the Lord, as he does these things, foreknown from of old.’ (aiōn g165)
known from the age (aiōn g165).
For ever since the creation of the universe God’s invisible attributes — his everlasting power and divinity — are to be seen and studied in his works, so that men have no excuse; (aïdios g126)
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting (aïdios g126) power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.
for they had substituted a lie for the truth about God, and had reverenced and worshiped created things more than the Creator, who is to be praised for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
To those who, by perseverance in doing good, aim at glory, honour, and all that is imperishable, he will give Immortal Life; (aiōnios g166)
to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, consummate (aiōnios g166) life;
in order than, just as Sin had reigned in the realm of Death, so, too, might Loving-kindness reign through righteousness, and result in Immortal Life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to consummate (aiōnios g166) life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But now that you have been set free from the control of Sin, and have become servants to God, the fruit that you reap is an ever-increasing holiness, and the end Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
The wages of Sin are Death, but the gift of God is Immortal Life, through union with Christ Jesus, our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is consummate (aiōnios g166) life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
They are descended from the Patriarchs; and, as far as his human nature was concerned, from them came the Christ — he who is supreme over all things, God for ever blessed. Amen. (aiōn g165)
of whom are the fathers, and from whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed for the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
‘or “Who will go down into the depths below?”’ — which means to bring Christ up from the dead. (Abyssos g12)
or, 'Who will descend into the Abyss (Abyssos g12)?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)"
For God has given all alike over to disobedience, that to all alike he may show mercy. (eleēsē g1653)
For God has bound all to disobedience, in order to have mercy (eleēsē g1653) on all.
For all things are from him, through him, and for him. And to him be all glory for ever and ever! Amen. (aiōn g165)
For of him, and through him, and to him are all things. To him be the glory for the ages (aiōn g165)! Amen.
Do not conform to the fashion of this world; but be transformed by the complete change that has come over your minds, so that you may discern what God’s will is — all that is good, acceptable, and perfect. (aiōn g165)
Do not be conformed to this age (aiōn g165), but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Now to him who is able to strengthen you, as promised in the Good News entrusted to me and in the proclamation of Jesus Christ, in accordance with the revelation of that hidden purpose, which in past ages was kept secret but now has been revealed (aiōnios g166)
Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages (aiōnios g166),
and, in obedience to the command of the Immortal God, made known through the writings of the Prophets to all nations, to secure submission to the Faith — (aiōnios g166)
but now is revealed, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the consummate (aiōnios g166) God, is made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;
to him, I say, the wise and only God, be ascribed, through Jesus Christ, all glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165)! Amen.
Where is the Philosopher? where the Teacher of the Law? where the Disputant of to-day? Has not God shown the world’s philosophy to be folly? (aiōn g165)
Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age (aiōn g165)? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Yet there is a philosophy that we teach to those whose faith is matured, but it is not the philosophy of to-day, nor that of the leaders of to-day — men whose downfall is at hand. (aiōn g165)
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this age (aiōn g165) nor of the rulers of this age (aiōn g165) who are coming to nothing.
No, it is a divine philosophy that we teach, one concerned with the hidden purpose of God — that long-hidden philosophy which God, before time began, destined for our glory. (aiōn g165)
But we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages (aiōn g165) for our glory,
This philosophy is not known to any of the leaders of to-day; for, had they known it, they would not have crucified our glorified Lord. (aiōn g165)
which none of the rulers of this age (aiōn g165) has known. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you imagines that, as regards this world, he is a wise man, let him become a ‘fool,’ that he may become wise. (aiōn g165)
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this age (aiōn g165), let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
Therefore, if what I eat makes my Brother fall, rather than make my Brother fall, I will never eat meat again. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat for this age (aiōn g165), that I do not cause my brother to stumble.
These things happened to them by way of warning, and were recorded to serve as a caution to us, in whose days the close of the ages has come. (aiōn g165)
Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages (aiōn g165) have come.
‘Death has been swallowed up in victory! Where, O Death, is thy victory? Where, O Death, is thy sting?’ (Hadēs g86)
"Death, where is your sting? Hades (Hadēs g86), where is your victory?"
Men whose minds have been blinded by the God of this Age, unbelievers as they are, so that the light from the Good News of the glory of the Christ, who is the very incarnation of God, should not shine for them. (aiōn g165)
in whom the god of this age (aiōn g165) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.
The light burden of our momentary trouble is preparing for us, in measure transcending thought, a weight of imperishable glory; (aiōnios g166)
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly a consummate (aiōnios g166) weight of glory,
we, all the while, gazing not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is transient, but what is unseen is imperishable. (aiōnios g166)
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are consummate (aiōnios g166).
For we know that if our tent — that earthly body which is now our home — is taken down, we have a house of God’s building, a home not made by hands, imperishable, in Heaven. (aiōnios g166)
For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, consummate (aiōnios g166), in the heavens.
(As Scripture says — ‘He scattered broadcast, he gave to the poor; His righteousness continues for ever.’ (aiōn g165)
As it is written, "He has scattered abroad. He has given to the poor. His righteousness remains for the age (aiōn g165)."
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus — he who is for ever blessed — knows that I am speaking the truth. (aiōn g165)
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, he who is blessed for the ages (aiōn g165), knows that I do not lie.
For Christ, to rescue us from this present wicked age, gave himself for our sins, in accordance with the will of God and Father, (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age (aiōn g165), according to the will of our God and Father—
to whom be ascribed all glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to whom be the glory for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
For he who sows the field of his earthly nature will from that earthly nature reap corruption; while he who sows the field of the spirit will from that spirit reap Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
and above every name that can be named, whether in the present age, or in the age to come. (aiōn g165)
far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age (aiōn g165), but also in that which is to come.
For at one time you lived in sin, following the ways of the world, in subjection to the Ruler of the Powers of the air — the Spirit who is still at work among the disobedient. (aiōn g165)
in which you once walked according to the course of this age (aiōn g165), according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience.
in order that, by his goodness to us in Christ Jesus, he might display in the ages to come the boundless wealth of his loving-kindness. (aiōn g165)
that in the ages (aiōn g165) to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;
and to make clear what is God’s way of working out that hidden purpose which from the first has been concealed in the mind of the Creator of all things; (aiōn g165)
and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages (aiōn g165) has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,
in accordance with that purpose which runs through all the ages and which he has now accomplished in Jesus, the Christ, our Master. (aiōn g165)
according to the purpose of the ages (aiōn g165) which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
To him be all glory through the Church and through Christ Jesus, for all generations, age after age. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations for the age (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
For ours is no struggle against enemies of flesh and blood, but against all the various Powers of Evil that hold sway in the Darkness around us, against the Spirits of Wickedness on high. (aiōn g165)
(parallel missing)
To him, our God and Father, be ascribed all glory for every and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Now to our God and Father be the glory for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165)! Amen.
That Truth which has been hidden from former ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to God’s People, (aiōn g165)
the mystery which has been hidden for ages (aiōn g165) and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,
These men will pay the penalty of unutterable Ruin — banished ‘from the presence of the Lord and from the glorious manifestation of his might, (aiōnios g166)
who will pay the penalty: consummate (aiōnios g166) destruction at the face of the Lord and at the glory of his might,
And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and, in his loving-kindness, gave us unfailing consolation and good ground for hope, (aiōnios g166)
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us consummate (aiōnios g166) comfort and good hope through grace,
Yet mercy was shown me for the express purpose that Christ Jesus might exhibit in my case, beyond all others, his exhaustless patience, as an example for those who were afterwards to believe on him and attain Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
To the Immortal King, ever-living, invisible, the one God, be ascribed honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Now to the King of the ages (aiōn g165), immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
Run the great race of the Faith, and win the Immortal Life. It was for this that you received the Call, and, in the presence of many witnesses, made the great profession of Faith. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the consummate (aiōnios g166) life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
who alone is possessed of immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or ever can see — to whom be ascribed honour and power for ever. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
He alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honor and consummate (aiōnios g166) power. Amen.
Urge upon those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side. (aiōn g165)
Charge those who are rich in this present age (aiōn g165) that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;
It was God who saved us, and from him we received our solemn Call — not as a reward for anything that we had done, but in fulfilment of his own loving purpose. For that love was extended to us, through Christ Jesus, before time began, (aiōnios g166)
who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the times of the ages (aiōnios g166),
and that is why I submit to anything for the sake of God’s People, that they also may obtain the Salvation which comes from union with Christ Jesus, and imperishable glory. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with consummate (aiōnios g166) glory.
for Demas, in his love for the world, has deserted me. He has gone to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
for Demas left me, having loved this present age (aiōn g165), and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; and Titus to Dalmatia.
The Lord will rescue me from all evil, and bring me safe into his Heavenly Kingdom. All glory to him for ever and ever! Amen. (aiōn g165)
And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory for the ages (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). Amen.
and is based on the hope of Immortal Life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began, (aiōnios g166)
in hope of the consummate (aiōnios g166) life, which God, who cannnot lie, promised before time began;
leading us to renounce irreligious ways and worldly ambitions, and to live discreet, upright, and religious lives here in this present world, (aiōn g165)
instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age (aiōn g165);
that, having been pronounced righteous through his loving-kindness, we might enter on our inheritance with the hope of Immortal Life. (aiōnios g166)
that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of the consummate (aiōnios g166) life.
It may be that he was separated from you for an hour, for this very reason, that you might have him back for ever, (aiōnios g166)
For perhaps he was therefore separated from you briefly, that you would now have him wholly (aiōnios g166),
has in these latter days spoken to us by the Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. (aiōn g165)
has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the ages (aiōn g165).
while of the Son he said — ‘God is thy throne for ever and ever; The sceptre of his Kingdom is the sceptre of Justice; (aiōn g165)
But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is for the age (aiōn g165) of the ages (aiōn g165). The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
and on another occasion also — ‘Thou art a priest for all time of the order of Melchizedek.’ (aiōn g165)
As he says also in another place, "You are a priest for the age (aiōn g165), after the order of Melchizedek."
and, being made perfect, he became to all those who obey him the source of eternal Salvation, (aiōnios g166)
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of consummate (aiōnios g166) salvation,
teaching concerning baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead and a final judgment. (aiōnios g166)
of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of consummate (aiōnios g166) judgment.
and learned to appreciate the beauty of the Divine Message, and the new powers of the Coming Age — (aiōn g165)
and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age (aiōn g165) to come,
where Jesus, our Forerunner, has entered on our behalf, after being made for all time a High Priest of the order of Melchizedek. (aiōn g165)
where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest for the age (aiōn g165) after the order of Melchizedek.
for that is the meaning of the declaration — ‘Thou art for all time a priest of the order of Melchizedek.’ (aiōn g165)
for it is testified, "You are a priest for the age (aiōn g165), according to the order of Melchizedek."
but his appointment was ratified by an oath, when God said to him — ‘The Lord has sworn, and will not change, “Thou art a priest for all time.”’ (aiōn g165)
(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, "The Lord swore and will not change his mind, 'You are a priest for the age (aiōn g165), according to the order of Melchizedek.'"
but Jesus remains for all time, and therefore the priesthood that he holds is never liable to pass to another. (aiōn g165)
But he, because he lives for the age (aiōn g165), has his priesthood unchangeable.
The Law appoints as High Priests men who are liable to infirmity, but the words of God’s oath, which was later than the Law, name the Son as, for all time, the perfect Priest. (aiōn g165)
For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the law appoints a Son for the age (aiōn g165) who has been perfected.
Nor was it with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, that he entered, once and for all, into the Sanctuary, and obtained our eternal deliverance. (aiōnios g166)
nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained consummate (aiōnios g166) redemption.
how much more will the blood of the Christ, who, through his eternal Spirit, offered himself up to God, as a victim without blemish, purify our consciences from a lifeless formality, and fit us for the service of the Living God! (aiōnios g166)
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the consummate (aiōnios g166) Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
And that is why he is the intermediary of a new Covenant; in order that, as a death has taken place to effect a deliverance from the offences committed under the first Covenant, those who have received the Call may obtain the eternal inheritance promised to them. (aiōnios g166)
For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the consummate (aiōnios g166) inheritance.
for then Christ would have had to undergo death many times since the creation of the world. But now, once and for all, at the close of the age, he has appeared, in order to abolish sin by the sacrifice of himself. (aiōn g165)
or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the consummation of the ages (aiōn g165), he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Faith enables us to perceive that the universe was created at the bidding of God — so that we know that what we see was not made out of visible things. (aiōn g165)
By faith, we understand that the ages (aiōn g165) have been aligned by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day — yes, and for ever! (aiōn g165)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and for the ages (aiōn g165).
