< Mark 1 >

1 The beginning of the Good News about Jesus Christ.
ⲁ̅⳿ Ⲧⲁⲣⲭⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲪϯ.
2 It is said in the Prophet Isaiah — ‘Behold! I send my Messenger before thy face; he shall prepare thy way.
ⲃ̅ⲕⲁⲧⲁ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲉⲧ⳿ⲥϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϧⲉⲛ Ⲏ̇ⲥⲁ⳿ⲏⲁⲥ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ ϫⲉ ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯⲛⲁⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ ⳿ⲙⲡⲁⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ϧⲁ⳿ⲧϩⲏ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲕϩⲟ ⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲥⲟⲃϯ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲕⲙⲱⲓⲧ ϧⲁϫⲱⲕ.
3 The voice of one crying aloud in the Wilderness: “Make ready the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”’
ⲅ̅⳿ⲡ⳿ϧⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲧⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ ⳿ⲫⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⳿ⲙⲠ⳪ ⲥⲟⲩⲧⲱⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ.
4 And in fulfilment of this, John the Baptizer appeared in the Wilderness, proclaiming a baptism upon repentance, for the forgiveness of sins.
ⲇ̅ⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥϯⲱⲙⲥ ϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓ⳿ⲁ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲭⲱ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
5 The whole of Judea, as well as all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, went out to him; and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲛⲁ ϯⲒⲟⲩⲇⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⳿ⲛⲭⲱⲣⲁ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲁ Ⲓⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲙ̅ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲒⲟⲣⲇⲁⲛⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲓⲁⲣⲟ ⲉⲩⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲛⲟⲃⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
6 John was clad in clothing of camels’ hair, with a belt of leather round his waist, and lived on locusts and wild honey;
ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ Ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲛϥⲱⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲁⲙⲟⲩⲗ ⲧⲟⲓ ϩⲓⲱⲧϥ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲙⲏⲣ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟϫϧ ⳿ⲛϣⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥϯⲡⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲟⲩⲉⲙ ⳿ϣϫⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⳿ⲉⲃⲓ⳿ⲱ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⳿ⲧⲕⲟⲓ.
7 and he proclaimed — “There is coming after me one more powerful than I, and I am not fit even to stoop down and unfasten his sandals.
ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲫⲏⲉⲧϫⲟⲣ ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛϯ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡϣⲁ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉϫⲟⲃⲥⲧ ⳿ⲉ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ⳿ⲉϯⲟⲩ⳿ⲱ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲥⲉⲣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲑⲱⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ.
8 I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
ⲏ̅⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲁⲓϯⲱⲙⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲉⲙⲥ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ.
9 Now about that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ Ⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲒⲟⲣⲇⲁⲛⲏⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲛⲒⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ.
10 And just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent apart, and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him,
ⲓ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲁⲩⲫⲱϧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩϭⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ ⲉϥⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲡⲉⲥⲏⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲟϩⲓ ϩⲓϫⲱϥ.
11 and from the heavens came a voice — “Thou art my Son, the Beloved; in thee I delight.”
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲛⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲁϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲡⲁⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲓϯⲙⲁϯ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧϥ.
12 Immediately afterwards the Spirit drove Jesus out into the Wilderness;
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲁ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ϩⲓⲧϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ.
13 and he was there in the Wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and among the wild beasts, while the angels ministered to him.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲭⲏ ⲡⲉ ϩⲓ ⳿ⲡϣⲁϥⲉ ⳿ⲛ ⲙ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲙ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲉϫⲱⲣϩ ⲉⲩⲉⲣⲡⲓⲣⲁⲍⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲡⲥⲁⲧⲁⲛⲁⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲭⲏ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲛⲁⲩϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
14 After John had been committed to prison, Jesus went to Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of God —
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⳿ⲑⲣⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲛⲒⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ.
15 “The time has come, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe the Good News.”
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲁϥϫⲱⲕ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲏⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲥϧⲱⲛⲧ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ϯⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲫϯ ⳿ⲁⲣⲓⲙⲉⲧ⳿ⲁⲛⲟⲓⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ.
16 As Jesus was going along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net in the Sea, for they were fishermen.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲛ ⳿ⲫⲓⲟⲙ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲤⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲁⲛ⳿ⲇⲣⲉⲁⲥ ⳿ⲡⲥⲟⲛ ⳿ⲛⲤⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲉⲩϩⲓ⳿ϣⲛⲉ ⳿ⲛⲥⲓϯ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲓⲟⲙ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲟϩⲓ ⲛⲉ.
17 “Come and follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will set you to fish for men.”
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲁⲉⲣ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲟϩⲓ ⳿ⲛⲣⲉϥⲧⲁϩⲉⲣⲱⲙⲓ.
18 They left their nets at once, and followed him.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲭⲁ ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ.
19 Going on a little further, he saw James, Zebediah’s son, and his brother John, who also were in their boat mending the nets.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲉⲧϩⲏ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲒⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⳿ⲡϣⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲌⲉⲃⲉⲇⲉⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ ⲡⲉϥⲥⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲩϩⲓ ⲡⲓϫⲟⲓ ⲉⲩⲥⲟⲃϯ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩ⳿ϣⲛⲏⲟⲩ.
20 Jesus at once called them, and they left their father Zebediah in the boat with the crew, and went after him.
ⲕ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩϯ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲭⲁ ⲡⲟⲩⲓⲱⲧ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩ Ⲍⲉⲃⲉⲇⲉⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲡⲓϫⲟⲓ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲓⲙⲩⲥⲑⲱⲧⲏⲥ ⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ.
21 And they walked into Capernaum. On the next Sabbath Jesus went into the Synagogue and began to teach.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲔⲁⲫⲁⲣⲛⲁⲟⲩⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲉ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⲛⲁϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ.
22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught them like one who had authority, and not like the Teachers of the Law.
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣ⳿ϣⲫⲏⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲛⲁϥϯ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ϩⲱⲥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉ ⲡⲉϥⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲁⲛ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁϧ.
23 Now there was in their Synagogue at the time a man under the power of a foul spirit, who called out:
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲉϥϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿⳿ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
24 “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲁϧⲟⲕ ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲛ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲓⲣⲉⲙⲚⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲕ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲕⲟⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲁⲅⲓⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲫϯ.
25 But Jesus rebuked the spirit: “Be silent! Come out from him.”
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲧⲓⲙⲁⲛ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲑⲱⲙ ⳿ⲛⲣⲱⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ⳿ⲛⲏⲧϥ.
26 The foul spirit threw the man into a fit, and with a loud cry came out from him.
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ϣⲧⲉⲣⲑⲱⲣϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲱϣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲱⲧϥ.
27 And they were all so amazed that they kept asking: “What is this? Strange teaching indeed! He gives his commands with authority even to the foul spirits, and they obey him!”
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲱⲥⲧⲉ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲫⲁⲓ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲃⲱ ⳿ⲙⲃⲉⲣⲓ ⲧⲉ ϫⲉ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ ⳿ϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲡ͞ⲛⲁ̅ ⳿ⲛ⳿ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ ⲥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛⲁϥ.
28 And the fame of Jesus spread at once in all directions, through the whole neighbourhood of Galilee.
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲁ ⲧⲉϥ⳿ⲥⲙⲏ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲥⲱⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲓ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲡⲉⲣⲓⲭⲱⲣⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ.
29 As soon as they had come out from the Synagogue, they went, with James and John, into the house of Simon and Andrew.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ϯⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡⲏⲓ ⳿ⲛⲤⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲁⲛ⳿ⲇⲣⲉⲁⲥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲉ Ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲓⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ.
30 Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying ill with fever, and they at once told Jesus about her.
ⲗ̅⳿ⲧϣⲱⲙⲓ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛⲤⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲁⲥⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲥϧⲏⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ⲉⲑⲃⲏⲧⲥ.
31 Jesus went up to her and, grasping her hand, raised her up; the fever left her, and she began to wait upon them.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲛⲟⲥⲥ ⳿ⲉⲁϥ⳿ⲁⲙⲟⲛⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲥϫⲓϫ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲭⲁⲥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓ⳿ϧⲙⲟⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲥϣⲉⲙϣⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ.
32 In the evening, after sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who were ill or possessed by demons;
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅⳿ⲉⲧⲁ ⲣⲟⲩϩⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲟⲧⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏ ϩⲱⲧⲡ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ⲉⲧ⳿ⲧϩⲉⲙⲕⲏⲟⲩⲧ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
33 and the whole city was gathered round the door.
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲁⲥⲑⲱⲟⲩϯ ϩⲓⲣⲉⲛ ⲡⲓⲣⲟ.
34 Jesus cured many who were ill with various diseases, and drove out many demons, and would not permit them to speak, because they knew him to be the Christ.
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲉⲣⲫⲁϧⲣⲓ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲧϩⲉⲙⲕⲏⲟⲩⲧ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲣⲏϯ ⳿ⲛϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ⳿ⲛⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲏⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲁⲩⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ϫⲉ Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉ.
35 In the morning, long before daylight, Jesus rose and went out, and, going to a lonely spot, there began to pray.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲧⲟⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩⲙⲁ⳿ⲛϣⲁϥⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲉⲥⲑⲉ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
36 But Simon and his companions hastened after him;
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϭⲟϫⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ Ⲥⲓⲙⲱⲛ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ.
37 and, when they found him, they exclaimed: “Every one is looking for you!”
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩϫⲉⲙϥ ⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲥⲉⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱⲕ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ.
38 But Jesus said to them: “Let us go somewhere else, into the country towns near, that I may make my proclamation in them also; for that was why I came.”
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲛ ⳿ⲉⲕⲉ ⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉⲛⲓⲕⲟⲙⲟⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛⲧ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟⲛ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉⲛϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ϩⲱϥ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲓ⳿ⲓ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲉⲡⲁⲓϩⲱⲃ.
39 And he went about making his proclamation in their Synagogues all through Galilee, and driving out the demons.
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ⲉϥϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩⲥⲩⲛⲁⲅⲱⲅⲏ ϧⲉⲛ ϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⲧⲏⲣⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲓⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⲉϥϩⲓⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
40 One day a leper came to Jesus and, falling on his knees, begged him for help. “If only you are willing,” he said, “you are able to make me clean.”
ⲙ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥ⳿ⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲟⲩⲕⲁⲕⲥⲉϩⲧ ⲉϥϯϩⲟ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥϩⲓ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ⲛⲉϥⲕⲉⲗⲓ ⲉϥϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ Ⲡ⳪ ⳿ⲉϣⲱⲡ ⲁⲕϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲟⲩⲟⲛ⳿ϣϫⲟⲙ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⳿ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟⲓ.
41 Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying as he did so: “I am willing; become clean.”
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϧⲁⲣⲟϥ ⲁϥⲥⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁϥϭⲓⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲱϣ ⲙⲁⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ.
42 Instantly the leprosy left the man, and he became clean;
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⳿ⲁ ⲡⲓⲥⲉϩⲧ ϣⲉⲛⲁϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲓⲱⲧϥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ.
43 and then Jesus, after sternly warning him, immediately sent him away, and said to him:
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥ⳿ⲥⲣⲉⲙⲣⲱⲙϥ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁϥϩⲓⲧϥ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
44 “Be careful not to say anything to any one; but go and show yourself to the Priest, and make the offerings for your cleansing directed by Moses, as evidence of your cure.”
