1 Corinthians 2
1 For my own part, Brothers, when I came to you, it was with no display of eloquence or philosophy that I came to tell the hidden purpose of God;
Auch ich, da ich zu euch kam, bin nicht gekommen mit hoher Rede oder Weisheit, euch das Zeugnis von Gott zu verkündigen.
2 for I had determined that, while with you, I would know nothing but Jesus Christ — and him crucified!
Denn ich nahm mir nicht vor, unter euch etwas wissen zu wollen, außer von Jesus Christus und zwar dem Gekreuzigten.
3 Indeed, when I came among you, I was weak, and full of fears, and in great anxiety.
Und ich war vielmehr bei euch in Schwachheit und in viel Furcht und Zittern;
4 My Message and my Proclamation were not delivered in the persuasive language of philosophy, but were accompanied by the manifestation of spiritual power,
Und mein Wort und meine Predigt bestand nicht in Überredungen der Weisheit, sondern in Darstellung des Geistes und der Kraft,
5 so that your faith should be based, not on the philosophy of man, but on the power of God.
Auf daß euer Glaube nicht beruhe auf menschlicher Weisheit, sondern auf der Kraft Gottes.
6 Yet there is a philosophy that we teach to those whose faith is matured, but it is not the philosophy of to-day, nor that of the leaders of to-day — men whose downfall is at hand. (aiōn g165)
Wir reden aber Weisheit unter Vollkommenen, nicht eine Weisheit dieser Welt, auch nicht der Häupter dieser Welt, die zunichte werden; (aiōn g165)
7 No, it is a divine philosophy that we teach, one concerned with the hidden purpose of God — that long-hidden philosophy which God, before time began, destined for our glory. (aiōn g165)
Wir reden vielmehr Gottes Weisheit, als ein Geheimnis, sie, die verborgen war, die aber Gott vor Anbeginn der Zeitläufe vorherbestimmt hat zu unserer Herrlichkeit, (aiōn g165)
8 This philosophy is not known to any of the leaders of to-day; for, had they known it, they would not have crucified our glorified Lord. (aiōn g165)
Die keiner von den Oberen dieser Welt erkannt hat; denn hätten sie diese erkannt, so hätten sie den Herrn der Herrlichkeit nicht gekreuzigt; (aiōn g165)
9 It is what Scripture speaks of as — ‘What eye never saw, nor ear ever heard, what never entered the mind of man — even all that God has prepared for those who love him.’
Sondern wie geschrieben steht: Was kein Auge gesehen und kein Ohr gehört hat, und in keines Menschen Herz gekommen ist, hat Gott denen, die ihn lieben, zubereitet.
10 Yet to us God revealed it through his Spirit; for the Spirit fathoms all things, even the inmost depths of God’s being.
Uns aber hat es Gott durch Seinen Geist geoffenbart; denn der Geist erforscht alles, auch die Tiefen der Gottheit.
11 For what man is there who knows what a man is, except the man’s own spirit within him? So, also, no one comprehends what God is, except the Spirit of God.
Denn welcher Mensch weiß, was des Menschen ist, außer der Geist des Menschen, der in ihm ist? So weiß auch niemand, was Gottes ist, außer der Geist Gottes.
12 And as for us, it is not the Spirit of the World that we have received, but the Spirit that comes from God, that we may realize the blessings given to us by him.
Wir aber haben empfangen, nicht den Geist der Welt, sondern den Geist aus Gott, auf daß wir wüßten, was uns von Gott verliehen worden ist.
13 And we speak of these gifts, not in language taught by human philosophy, but in language taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things in spiritual words.
Und das reden wir auch, nicht in Worten, die von menschlicher Weisheit gelehrt, sondern wie sie vom Geist gelehrt worden sind, indem wir Geistiges mit Geistigem verbinden.
14 The merely intellectual man rejects the teaching of the Spirit of God; for to him it is mere folly; he cannot grasp it, because it is to be understood only by spiritual insight.
Der natürliche Mensch nimmt nicht an, was vom Geiste Gottes ist, denn es ist ihm eine Torheit, und er kann es nicht erkennen, denn es muß geistig aufgefaßt werden.
15 But the man with spiritual insight is able to understand everything, although he himself is understood by no one.
Der Geistige beurteilt alles, er selbst aber wird von keinem beurteilt.
16 For ‘who has so comprehended the mind of the Lord as to be able to instruct him?’ We, however, have the very mind of Christ.
Denn wer hätte des Herrn Sinn erkannt, der Ihn unterwiese? Wir aber haben Christus Sinn.
