Psalms 63
1 God, you are the God whom I [worship]. I greatly desire to be with you like [SIL] a person in a dry hot desert greatly desires [some cool water].
Cantique de David, lorsqu'il était dans le désert de Juda. O Dieu! tu es mon Dieu, c'est toi que je cherche; mon âme a soif de toi, ma chair languit après toi, comme une terre aride, altérée, privée d'eau.
2 So, I want to see you in your temple; I want to see that you are great and glorious.
Ainsi, mes regards te suivent dans le Sanctuaire, pour contempler ta gloire et ta magnificence;
3 Your constantly loving [me] is (worth more/more precious) than [my] life, so I [MTY] will [always] praise you.
car ta grâce est meilleure que la vie: mes lèvres te glorifient.
4 I will praise you all the time that I live; I will lift up my hands to you while I pray.
Ainsi, je te loue durant ma vie. c'est en ton nom que j'élève mes mains.
5 [Knowing you satisfies me more than] [IDM, MET] my eating a very big feast, [so] I will praise you while I sing [MTY] joyful songs.
Mon âme est rassasiée comme de moelle et de graisse, et d'une voix d'allégresse ma bouche te célèbre.
6 While I lie on my bed, I think about you. I think/meditate about you all during the night,
Quand ta pensée me revient sur ma couche, c'est sur toi que je médite durant les veilles.
7 because you have always helped me, and I sing joyfully knowing that I am protected by you [as a little bird is protected] under [its mother’s] wings [MET].
Car tu es mon secours, et je me réjouis à l'ombre de tes ailes;
8 I cling to you; and with your hand/power you protect me.
mon âme s'attache à toi, ta droite me soutient.
9 But those who are trying to kill me will [die and] descend into the place of the dead;
Mais ceux qui, pour me perdre, attentent à ma vie, tomberont dans les profondeurs de la terre.
10 they will be killed in battles [MTY] and their [corpses] will be eaten by jackals/wild dogs.
Ils seront livrés à l'épée, et deviendront la proie des chacals.
11 But I, the king [of Israel], will rejoice in what God has done; and all those who revere and trust God will praise him, but he will not allow liars to say anything.
Et le Roi aura en Dieu une cause d'allégresse, et quiconque jure par Lui, fera éclater sa joie, quand les menteurs auront la bouche fermée.
