Psalms 3
1 Yahweh, I have many enemies [DOU]! There are many people who oppose/rebel against me.
യഹോവേ, എന്റെ വൈരികൾ എത്ര പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു! എന്നോടു എതിൎക്കുന്നവർ അനേകർ ആകുന്നു.
2 Many people are saying about me, “God will [certainly] not help him!”
അവന്നു ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ രക്ഷയില്ല എന്നു എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പലരും പറയുന്നു. (സേലാ)
3 But Yahweh, you are like a shield [that protects me] [MET]. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me (OR, enable me to triumph over my enemies) [IDM].
നീയോ യഹോവേ, എനിക്കു ചുറ്റും പരിചയും എന്റെ മഹത്വവും എന്റെ തല ഉയൎത്തുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു.
4 I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from [Zion], your sacred hill.
ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു ഉച്ചത്തിൽ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവൻതന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപൎവ്വതത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. (സേലാ)
5 [At night] I lie down and sleep, and I awake [in the morning feeling good/refreshed] because you, Yahweh, (take care of/protect) me [all during the night].
ഞാൻ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; യഹോവ എന്നെ താങ്ങുകയാൽ ഉണൎന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 There may be thousands of [enemy] soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid.
എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്ന ആയിരം ആയിരം ജനങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
7 Yahweh, arise! My God, [come and] rescue me [again]! You [insult] my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; [when you strike them], you break their teeth, [with the result that they cannot hurt anyone] [MET].
യഹോവേ, എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ. നീ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ഒക്കെയും ചെകിട്ടത്തടിച്ചു; നീ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പല്ലു തകൎത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.
8 Yahweh, you are the one who saves your people [from their enemies]. Yahweh, bless your people!
രക്ഷ യഹോവെക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേൽ വരുമാറാകട്ടെ. (സേലാ)
