Psalms 3
1 Yahweh, I have many enemies [DOU]! There are many people who oppose/rebel against me.
दावीद का एक स्तोत्र. जब वह अपने पुत्र अबशालोम से बचकर भाग रहे थे. याहवेह! कितने सारे हैं मेरे शत्रु! कितने हैं जो मेरे विरोध में उठ खड़े हुए हैं!
2 Many people are saying about me, “God will [certainly] not help him!”
वे मेरे विषय में कहने लगे हैं, “परमेश्वर उसे उद्धार प्रदान नहीं करेंगे.”
3 But Yahweh, you are like a shield [that protects me] [MET]. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me (OR, enable me to triumph over my enemies) [IDM].
किंतु, याहवेह, आप सदैव ही जोखिम में मेरी ढाल हैं, आप ही हैं मेरी महिमा, आप मेरा मस्तक ऊंचा करते हैं.
4 I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from [Zion], your sacred hill.
याहवेह! मैंने उच्च स्वर में आपको पुकारा है, और आपने अपने पवित्र पर्वत से मुझे उत्तर दिया.
5 [At night] I lie down and sleep, and I awake [in the morning feeling good/refreshed] because you, Yahweh, (take care of/protect) me [all during the night].
मैं लेटता और निश्चिंत सो जाता हूं; मैं पुनः सकुशल जाग उठता हूं, क्योंकि याहवेह मेरी रक्षा कर रहे थे.
6 There may be thousands of [enemy] soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid.
मुझे उन असंख्य शत्रुओं का कोई भय नहीं जिन्होंने मुझे चारों ओर से घेर लिया है.
7 Yahweh, arise! My God, [come and] rescue me [again]! You [insult] my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; [when you strike them], you break their teeth, [with the result that they cannot hurt anyone] [MET].
उठिए याहवेह! मेरे परमेश्वर, आकर मुझे बचाइए! निःसंदेह आप मेरे समस्त शत्रुओं के जबड़े पर प्रहार करें; आप उन दुष्टों के दांत तोड़ डालें.
8 Yahweh, you are the one who saves your people [from their enemies]. Yahweh, bless your people!
उद्धार तो याहवेह में ही है, आपकी प्रजा पर आपकी कृपादृष्टि बनी रहे!
