Psalms 3
1 Yahweh, I have many enemies [DOU]! There are many people who oppose/rebel against me.
দাউদের গীত। যখন তিনি তাঁর ছেলে অবশালোমের হাত থেকে পালিয়েছিলেন। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার শত্রু কতজন! কতজন আমার বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়াচ্ছে!
2 Many people are saying about me, “God will [certainly] not help him!”
অনেকে আমার সম্বন্ধে বলছে, “ঈশ্বর তাকে উদ্ধার করবেন না।”
3 But Yahweh, you are like a shield [that protects me] [MET]. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me (OR, enable me to triumph over my enemies) [IDM].
কিন্তু, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি আমার চারপাশের ঢাল, আমার গৌরব, তিনি আমার মাথা উঁচু করেন।
4 I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from [Zion], your sacred hill.
আমি স্বরবে সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বিনতি করি, আর তিনি তাঁর পবিত্র পর্বত থেকে আমাকে উত্তর দেন।
5 [At night] I lie down and sleep, and I awake [in the morning feeling good/refreshed] because you, Yahweh, (take care of/protect) me [all during the night].
আমি শুয়ে থাকি এবং ঘুমিয়ে পড়ি; আমি আবার জেগে উঠি, কারণ সদাপ্রভু আমায় ধারণ করেন।
6 There may be thousands of [enemy] soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid.
যে শত সহস্র লোক আমাকে চতুর্দিকে ঘিরে রেখেছে আমি তাদের ভয় করব না।
7 Yahweh, arise! My God, [come and] rescue me [again]! You [insult] my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; [when you strike them], you break their teeth, [with the result that they cannot hurt anyone] [MET].
হে সদাপ্রভু, জেগে ওঠো! আমার ঈশ্বর, আমাকে উদ্ধার করো! আমার সব শত্রুর মুখে আঘাত করো; দুষ্টদের দাঁত ভেঙে দাও।
8 Yahweh, you are the one who saves your people [from their enemies]. Yahweh, bless your people!
সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে পরিত্রাণ আসে। তোমার আশীর্বাদ তোমার লোকেদের উপর বর্তাক।
