Psalms 122

1 I was glad/happy when people said to me, “We should go to the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem]!”

Tôi vui mừng khi người ta nói với tôi rằng: Ta hãy đi đến nhà Đức Giê-hô-va.

2 And now we are here, standing inside the gates/city of [APO] Jerusalem.

Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, chân chúng ta dừng lại Trong các cửa ngươi.

3 Jerusalem is a city that has been rebuilt, with the result that people can gather together in it.

Giê-ru-sa-lem là cái thành Được cất vững bền, kết nhau tề-chỉnh.

4 We [people of the] tribes of Israel who belong to Yahweh can now go up there as Yahweh commanded that we should do, and we can thank him.

Các chi phái của Đức Giê-hô-va lên nơi ấy, Tùy theo thường lệ truyền cho Y-sơ-ra-ên.

5 There the kings of Israel who were descendants of [King] David sit on their thrones and decide cases [fairly when the people have disputes].

Vì tại đó có lập các ngôi đoán xét, Tức là các ngôi nhà Đa-vít.

6 Pray that there will be peace in Jerusalem; I desire that those who love Jerusalem will (prosper/live peacefully).

Hãy cầu hòa bình cho Giê-ru-sa-lem; Phàm kẻ nào yêu mến ngươi sẽ được thới thạnh.

7 I desire that there will be peace inside the walls of the city and that [people who are] inside the palaces will be safe.

Nguyện sự hòa bình ở trong vách tường ngươi, Sự thới thạnh trong các cung ngươi!

8 For the sake of my relatives and friends, I say, “My desire is that that inside Jerusalem [people will live] peacefully.”

Vì cớ anh em ta và bậu bạn ta, Ta nói rằng: Nguyện sự hòa bình ở trong ngươi!

9 And because I love the temple of Yahweh our God, I pray that things will go well for the people who live [in Jerusalem].

Nhân vì nhà Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta, Ta sẽ cầu phước cho ngươi.
