< Psalms 121 >

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Buurahaan indhahayga ku taagi doonaa, Caawimaaddaydu xaggee bay ka iman doontaa?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Caawimaaddaydu waxay ka timaadaa Rabbiga sameeyey samada iyo dhulka.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
Isagu uma oggolaan doono in cagtaada la dhaqaajiyo, Kan ku dhawraa ma gam'i doono.
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
Bal eeg, kan reer binu Israa'iil dhawraa Ma gam'i doono, mana seexan doono.
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
Kan ku dhawraa waa Rabbiga, Rabbigu waa hooskaaga midigtaada taagan.
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
Qorraxdu maalinta waxba kuma yeeli doonto. Habeenkana dayaxu waxba kuma yeeli doono.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
Rabbiga ayaa kaa dhawri doona shar kasta, Isagu wuxuu dhawri doonaa naftaada.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Hadda intii ka bilaabata iyo tan iyo weligeedba Rabbigu wuxuu dhawri doonaa bixiddaada iyo soo geliddaadaba.
