< Psalms 121 >

1 [When we travel toward Jerusalem], I look up toward the hills [and I ask myself], “Who will help me?”
Yon Sòm pou monte vè tanp lan Mwen leve zye m vè mòn yo. Se kibò sekou mwen va sòti?
2 [And my answer is] that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.
Sekou m sòti nan SENYÈ a, ki te fè syèl la ak tè a.
3 He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.
Li p ap kite pye ou chape. (Sila) ki kenbe ou a p ap kabicha, ni dòmi.
4 The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep [LIT].
Gade byen, (Sila) ki kenbe Israël p ap kabicha, ni Li p ap dòmi.
5 Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade [MET] [that protects us from the sun].
SENYÈ a se gadyen ou. SENYÈ a se lonbraj a men dwat ou.
6 [He will not allow] the sun to harm us during the day, and [he will not allow] the moon to harm us during the night.
Solèy p ap frape ou lajounen, ni lalin pandan lannwit.
7 Yahweh will protect us from being harmed in any manner; he will keep us safe.
SENYÈ a va pwoteje ou de tout mal. Li va kenbe nanm ou.
8 He will protect us from the time that we leave [our houses in the morning] until we return [in the evening]; he will protect us now, and he will protect us forever.
Li va pwoteje ou lè ou sòti ak lè ou antre, depi nan moman sa a e jis rive pou tout tan.
