Psalms 120

1 When I had troubles, I called out to Yahweh and he answered me.

۱ سرود درجات نزد خداوند در تنگی خود فریادکردم و مرا اجابت فرمود.

2 [I prayed], “Yahweh, rescue/save me from people [SYN, MTY] who lie to me and [try to] deceive me!”

۲ ‌ای خداوند جان مرا خلاصی ده از لب دروغ و از زبان حیله گر.

3 You people who lie to me, [I will tell you] [RHQ] what [God] will do to you and what he will do to punish you.

۳ چه چیز به تو داده شود و چه چیز بر توافزوده گردد، ای زبان حیله گر؟

4 He will shoot sharp arrows at you like soldiers do, and he will [burn you with] red-hot coals from [the wood of] a broom tree.

۴ تیرهای تیزجباران با اخگرهای طاق!

5 It is terrible for me, living among cruel/savage [DOU] people [like those who live] in Meshech [region] and Kedar [region].

۵ وای بر من که در ماشک ماوا گزیده‌ام و در خیمه های قیدار ساکن شده‌ام.

6 I have lived for a long time among people who hate [to live with others] peacefully.

۶ چه طویل شدسکونت جان من با کسی‌که سلامتی را دشمن می‌دارد.

7 Every time I talk about living together peacefully, they talk about starting a war.

۷ من از اهل سلامتی هستم، لیکن چون سخن می‌گویم، ایشان آماده جنگ می‌باشند.
