Psalms 112

1 Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

Halleluja! Autuas se mies, joka Herraa pelkää ja suuresti halajaa hänen käskyjänsä!

2 Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

Hänen jälkeläisensä tulevat voimallisiksi maassa, oikeamielisten suku tulee siunatuksi.

3 Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

Varallisuus ja rikkaus on hänen huoneessansa, ja hänen vanhurskautensa pysyy iankaikkisesti.

4 Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

Oikeamielisille koittaa pimeydessä valkeus, armollinen, laupias ja vanhurskas.

5 Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

Hyvin käy sen miehen, joka on laupias ja antaa lainaksi, joka hoitaa asiansa oikeuden mukaan.

6 Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

Sillä ei hän ikinä horju; vanhurskas säilyy ikuisessa muistossa.

7 They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

Ei hän pelkää pahaa sanomaa, hänen sydämensä on vahva, sillä hän turvaa Herraan.

8 They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

Hänen sydämensä on luja ja peloton, kunnes hän vihdoin ilolla katselee ahdistajiaan.

9 They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

Hän on runsaskätinen, hän antaa köyhille, hänen vanhurskautensa pysyy iankaikkisesti, hänen sarvensa kohoaa kunniassa.

10 Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.

Jumalaton näkee sen ja närkästyy, hän kiristelee hampaitaan ja pakahtuu. Jumalattomien halut raukeavat tyhjiin.
