< Numbers 28 >

1 Yahweh said this to Moses/me:
The Lord told Moses,
2 “Tell this to the Israeli people: Bring to me the offerings that will be burned [on the altar]. When they are burned, the smell will be very pleasing to me. And tell them that they must bring them at the proper/right time.
“Give the following regulations to the Israelites: ‘You are to present to me at the appropriate times my food offerings for me to accept.
3 Tell them that what they must bring to me each day are two male lambs that are one-year-old. They must have no defects. They must be completely burned [on the altar].
Tell them you are to present to the Lord every day two male lambs a year old as a continual burnt offering.
4 They should bring one in the morning and the other early in the evening.
Offer one lamb in the morning and one in the evening before it gets dark,
5 They must also bring an offering of grain, consisting of two quarts/liters of finely-ground flour, mixed with a quart of [olive] oil.
along with one tenth of an ephah of best flour for a grain offering, mixed with a quarter of a hin of pressed olive oil.
6 That is the offering that they must bring every day. They started to bring those offerings [while you were] at Sinai Mountain. When those offerings are burned [on the altar], the smell will be very pleasing to me.
This is a continual burnt offering that was begun at Mount Sinai as an offering acceptable to the Lord.
7 When they burn each lamb, they must also pour on the sacred altar one quart/liter of wine.
The drink offering that accompanies each lamb is to be a quarter of a hin. Pour out the offering of fermented drink to the Lord in the sanctuary.
8 In the evening, when they offer the second lamb, they must also bring the same offerings of grain and wine [as they burned in the morning]. When they are burned, the smell will also be very pleasing to me.”
Offer the second lamb in the evening before it gets dark, along with the same grain and drink offerings as in the morning. It is a burnt offering acceptable to the Lord.
9 “On each (Sabbath/rest day), [you must bring] two male lambs that have no defects. Also bring a grain offering of four quarts/liters of finely-ground flour mixed with [olive] oil and a wine offering of four quarts/liters of wine.
On the Sabbath day, present male lambs two years old, without defects, along with a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the best flour mixed with olive oil, and its drink offering.
10 Those are the offerings that are to be burned [on the altar] each (Sabbath/rest day). Those are in addition to the offerings of two lambs and wine that you must bring each day.”
This burnt offering is to be presented every Sabbath in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.
11 “On the first day of each month, you must bring to me an offering of two young bulls, one male sheep, and seven male lambs that are one-year-old. All of these must be without defects. They must all be burned [completely on the altar].
At the start of every month, you are to present to the Lord a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, all of them without defects,
12 Also bring with each bull an offering of six quarts/liters of finely-ground flour mixed with [olive] oil. With each male sheep make an offering of four quarts of finely-ground flour mixed with [olive] oil.
along with grain offerings consisting of three-tenths of an ephah of the best flour mixed with olive oil for each bull, two-tenths of an ephah of the best flour mixed with olive oil for the ram,
13 Also bring an offering of two quarts/liters of finely-ground flour mixed with [olive] oil with each lamb. When all of these are burned [on the altar], the smell will be very pleasing to me.
and one tenth of an ephah of the best flour mixed with olive oil for each of the lambs. This is a burnt offering acceptable to the Lord.
14 With each bull, also bring two quarts/liters of wine. With each male sheep, bring (1-1/3 quarts/1.2 liters) of wine. With each lamb, bring one quart/liter of wine. These offerings must be brought on the first day of each month and burned completely [on the altar].
Their respective drink offerings shall be a half a hin of wine for each bull, a third of a hin for the ram, and a quarter of a hin for each lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering to be presented every month during the year.
15 In addition to these offerings that you burn, you must bring to me one goat for an offering [to enable me to forgive you for the sins you have committed].”
As well as the continual burnt offering with its drink offering, present a male goat to the Lord as a sin offering.
16 “The Passover Festival must be celebrated to [honor] me [each year] on the fourteenth day of the first month [of each year].
The Lord's Passover is on the fourteenth day of the first month.
17 The Festival of Unleavened Bread will start on the next day. For the following seven days, the bread that you eat must be made without yeast.
There shall be a festival on the fifteenth day of this month, and for seven days only eat bread without yeast.
18 On the first day of that festival, you must gather together to worship me, and you must not do any work.

and one tenth of an ephah for each of the seven lambs.
22 Also bring one goat for a sacrifice to cause you to be forgiven for your sin.

23 Bring these offerings in addition to the offerings that you bring each morning.
You are to present these offerings in addition to the continual morning burnt offering.
24 The smell of the grain that is burned [on the altar] each day for seven days will be very pleasing to me. Bring the grain in addition to the animals and the wine that you burn [on the altar].
Present the same offerings every day for seven days as burnt offerings to be accepted by the Lord. They are to be offered with their drink offering and the continual burnt offering.
25 On the seventh day of that festival, you must [again] gather together to worship me, and you must not do any work.”
Hold a holy meeting on the seventh day of the festival. Don't do any of your normal work.
26 “On the day of the Harvest Festival, when you bring to me the first grain that you have harvested, you must gather together to worship me. Do not do any work on that day.
During the time you celebrate the Festival of Weeks, hold a holy meeting on the day of firstfruits when you present an offering of new grain to the Lord. Don't do any of your normal work.
27 Bring to me two young bulls, one male sheep, and seven male lambs that are one-year-old. When they are completely burned [on the altar], the smell will be very pleasing to me.

30 Also sacrifice one male goat to cause you to be forgiven for your sins.
