Leviticus 3

1 [“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.

Y si su ofrenda fuere sacrificio de paces; si hubiere de ofrecer el sacrificio de vacas, macho, o hembra, sin tacha lo ofrecerá delante de Jehová.

2 You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.

Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de su ofrenda, y degollarla ha a la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, y los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, esparcirán su sangre sobre el altar al derredor.

3 From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—

Luego ofrecerá del sacrificio de las paces por ofrenda encendida a Jehová el sebo que cubre los intestinos, y todo el sebo que está sobre los intestinos,

4 the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.

Y los dos riñones, y el sebo que está sobre ellos, y sobre los ijares, y quitará el redaño que está sobre el hígado con los riñones.

5 Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.

Y los hijos de Aarón harán de ello perfume sobre el altar con el holocausto que estará sobre la leña que está encima del fuego: y esto será ofrenda de olor de holganza a Jehová.

6 If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.

Mas si de ovejas fuere su ofrenda para sacrificio de paces a Jehová, macho o hembra, sin tacha lo ofrecerá.

7 If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].

Si ofreciere cordero por su ofrenda, ofrecerlo ha delante de Jehová.

8 Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.

Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de su ofrenda, y después la degollará delante del tabernáculo del testimonio: y los hijos de Aarón esparcirán su sangre sobre el altar al derredor.

9 You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—

Y del sacrificio de las paces ofrecerá por ofrenda encendida a Jehová su sebo, y la cola entera, la cual quitará de delante el espinazo, y el sebo que cubre los intestinos, y todo el sebo que está sobre ellos.

10 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.

Asimismo los dos riñones, y el sebo que está sobre ellos, y el que está sobre los ijares, y quitará el redaño de sobre el hígado con los riñones.

11 One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].

Y el sacerdote hará de ello perfume sobre el altar; y esto será vianda de ofrenda encendida a Jehová.

12 ‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.

Mas si cabra fuere su ofrenda, ofrecerla ha delante de Jehová.

13 You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.

Y pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de ella, y degollarla ha delante del tabernáculo del testimonio, y los hijos de Aarón esparcirán su sangre sobre el altar en derredor.

14 From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,

Después ofrecerá de ella su ofrenda, por ofrenda encendida a Jehová, el sebo que cubre los intestinos, y todo el sebo que está sobre ellos,

15 the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.

Y los dos riñones, y el sebo que está sobre ellos, y el que está sobre los ijares, y quitará el redaño de sobre el hígado con los riñones.

16 The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.

Y el sacerdote hará perfume de ello sobre el altar: y esto será vianda de ofrenda encendida de olor de holganza a Jehová. Todo el sebo es de Jehová.

17 ‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”

Estatuto perpetuo por vuestras edades en todas vuestras habitaciones: Ningún sebo, ni ninguna sangre comeréis.
