Job 8
1 Then Bildad, from [the] Shuah [area], spoke to Job. He said,
१तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,
2 “Job, how much longer will you talk like this? What you say is [only] hot air.
२“तू कब तक ऐसी-ऐसी बातें करता रहेगा? और तेरे मुँह की बातें कब तक प्रचण्ड वायु सी रहेगी?
3 Almighty God certainly never does [RHQ] what is unfair/unjust. He always does [LIT] what is right/fair.
३क्या परमेश्वर अन्याय करता है? और क्या सर्वशक्तिमान धार्मिकता को उलटा करता है?
4 So, it is evident that your children have sinned against him, therefore he has caused them to be punished for evil things that they have done.
४यदि तेरे बच्चों ने उसके विरुद्ध पाप किया है, तो उसने उनको उनके अपराध का फल भुगताया है।
5 But, if you will [now] earnestly request [DOU] Almighty [God] to help you,
५तो भी यदि तू आप परमेश्वर को यत्न से ढूँढ़ता, और सर्वशक्तिमान से गिड़गिड़ाकर विनती करता,
6 and if you are pure and honest/righteous, he will surely do something good for you and reward you by giving your family back to you and enabling you to prosper.
६और यदि तू निर्मल और धर्मी रहता, तो निश्चय वह तेरे लिये जागता; और तेरी धार्मिकता का निवास फिर ज्यों का त्यों कर देता।
7 And even though you [think that you] were not very prosperous/wealthy before, during the last part of your life you will become very wealthy.
७चाहे तेरा भाग पहले छोटा ही रहा हो परन्तु अन्त में तेरी बहुत बढ़ती होती।
8 “I request you to think about what happened long ago and consider what our ancestors found out.
८“पिछली पीढ़ी के लोगों से तो पूछ, और जो कुछ उनके पुरखाओं ने जाँच पड़ताल की है उस पर ध्यान दे।
9 [It seems as though] we were born only yesterday and we know very little [HYP]; our time here on the earth [disappears quickly, like] a shadow [MET].
९क्योंकि हम तो कल ही के हैं, और कुछ नहीं जानते; और पृथ्वी पर हमारे दिन छाया के समान बीतते जाते हैं।
10 So, why do you not allow your ancestors to teach you and tell you something? Allow them to tell you from what they learned!
१०क्या वे लोग तुझ से शिक्षा की बातें न कहेंगे? क्या वे अपने मन से बात न निकालेंगे?
11 Papyrus can certainly not [RHQ] grow in places where there is no marsh/swamp; reeds certainly cannot [RHQ] flourish/grow where there is no water.
११“क्या कछार की घास पानी बिना बढ़ सकती है? क्या सरकण्डा जल बिना बढ़ता है?
12 [If they do not have enough water], while they are still blossoming, they wither more quickly than other plants wither.
१२चाहे वह हरी हो, और काटी भी न गई हो, तो भी वह और सब भाँति की घास से पहले ही सूख जाती है।
13 Those who do not pay attention to what God says are like those [reeds]; godless people stop confidently expecting [that good things will happen to them].
१३परमेश्वर के सब बिसरानेवालों की गति ऐसी ही होती है और भक्तिहीन की आशा टूट जाती है।
14 The things they confidently expect to happen do not happen; things they trust [will help them] are [as fragile as] [MET] a spider’s web.
१४उसकी आशा का मूल कट जाता है; और जिसका वह भरोसा करता है, वह मकड़ी का जाला ठहरता है।
15 If they lean against a house (OR, trust in their wealth; OR, lean on a spider web), it does not (endure/protect them) [LIT]; they cling to things [to be protected], but those things do not remain firm.
१५चाहे वह अपने घर पर टेक लगाए परन्तु वह न ठहरेगा; वह उसे दृढ़ता से थामेगा परन्तु वह स्थिर न रहेगा।
16 Godless people [are like plants] [MET] that are watered before the sun rises; their shoots spread all over the gardens.
१६वह धूप पाकर हरा भरा हो जाता है, और उसकी डालियाँ बगीचे में चारों ओर फैलती हैं।
17 The roots of those plants twist around piles of stones and cling tightly to rocks.
१७उसकी जड़ कंकड़ों के ढेर में लिपटी हुई रहती है, और वह पत्थर के स्थान को देख लेता है।
18 But if those plants are pulled out, [it is as though] the place where they were planted says ‘They were never here!’ [And that is what happens to wicked people who do not heed what God says].
१८परन्तु जब वह अपने स्थान पर से नाश किया जाए, तब वह स्थान उससे यह कहकर मुँह मोड़ लेगा, ‘मैंने उसे कभी देखा ही नहीं।’
19 Truly, evil people [MET] are not joyful [IRO] for a long time; other people come and take their places.
१९देख, उसकी आनन्द भरी चाल यही है; फिर उसी मिट्टी में से दूसरे उगेंगे।
20 :So, [I tell you, Job], God will not reject you if you are truly godly/righteous, but he does not help [IDM] evil people.
२०“देख, परमेश्वर न तो खरे मनुष्य को निकम्मा जानकर छोड़ देता है, और न बुराई करनेवालों को सम्भालता है।
21 He will enable you [MTY] to continually laugh and to always shout [joyfully].
२१वह तो तुझे हँसमुख करेगा; और तुझ से जयजयकार कराएगा।
22 But those who hate you will be very ashamed, and the homes of wicked people will disappear.”
२२तेरे बैरी लज्जा का वस्त्र पहनेंगे, और दुष्टों का डेरा कहीं रहने न पाएगा।”
