Isaiah 52
1 [You people who live in the] holy city of Jerusalem [APO], wake up! Be strong again! Show that [MTY] your city is beautiful and glorious; foreigners who do not believe in God will not enter your city again [to attack you].
Si-ôn, hãy vùng dậy! Vùng dậy! Hãy mặc sức mạnh của ngươi! Thành thánh Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy mặc áo đẹp vì những người ô uế và không tin kính sẽ không được vào thành nữa.
2 People of Jerusalem, get up from [humbly] sitting in the dust and sit in places where people are honored! You people who have returned from being exiled, take off from your neck the chains which were fastened around you [as slaves in Babylonia],
Hỡi Giê-ru-sa-lem, hãy giũ bụi. Hãy ngồi lên ngai. Hỡi con gái Si-ôn, là kẻ bị tù, hãy tháo xích khỏi cổ ngươi.
3 because this is what Yahweh says: “[When you were taken to Babylonia], no one paid me for doing that. So now I will bring you back without [being required to] pay for you!”
Vì đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: “Khi Ta bán các con làm nô lệ Ta không được trả tiền. Nay Ta chuộc lại các con cũng không cần tiền bạc.”
4 Yahweh [our] Lord [also] says this: “Long ago, my people went to Egypt to live there. [Later] they were being (oppressed/treated cruelly) by [the soldiers of] Assyria.
Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Chí Cao phán: “Trước kia, dân Ta xuống ngụ tại Ai Cập, nhưng họ bị người A-sy-ri áp bức.”
5 But now think about what is happening: My people are being forced to be slaves again, this time by the [people of Babylonia]. And [those who have conquered them this time have also] paid me nothing, and they despise me [MTY] continually [DOU].
Chúa Hằng Hữu hỏi: “Bây giờ, tình trạng dân Ta sao lại thê thảm thế này? Tại sao dân Ta lại bị làm nô lệ và bị áp bức vô cớ? Những người thống trị la hét. Danh Ta bị sỉ nhục suốt ngày.
6 But my people will then have a close relationship with [MTY] me, and when that happens, they will know that I am the one who predicted/promised [that it would happen]. It is I, [Yahweh, who will do it].”
Chính vì thế, Ta sẽ tỏ Danh của Ta cho dân Ta, và họ sẽ biết quyền lực của Ta. Rồi cuối cùng họ sẽ nhìn nhận rằng Ta là Đấng đã phán bảo họ.”
7 It is a wonderful thing when messengers [MTY] arrive on the mountains/hills, bringing good news, the news about [God giving us] peace and saving us, the news that the God to whom we [Israeli people] belong is now ruling/king!
Trên khắp núi cao đồi cả, gót chân những người báo tin mừng, tin mừng hòa bình và cứu rỗi, tin về Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên tể trị!
8 The watchmen [who are guarding the city] will shout and sing joyfully, because while they are watching they will see Yahweh returning to Jerusalem.
Hãy nghe, các người canh gác đang reo mừng ca hát vì trước mỗi đôi mắt của họ, họ thấy đoàn dân được Chúa Hằng Hữu đem về Si-ôn.
9 Jerusalem has been ruined, but the people who are there now should start to sing joyfully, because Yahweh will encourage his people; he will set his people free and bring them back to Jerusalem.
Hãy để các tường thành đổ nát của Giê-ru-sa-lem hoan ca vì Chúa Hằng Hữu đã an ủi dân Ngài. Ngài đã khôi phục Giê-ru-sa-lem.
10 Yahweh will show all the nations that he is holy and powerful. People in the most remote/distant places on earth will know that he has rescued his people.
Chúa Hằng Hữu đã ra tay thánh quyền năng của Ngài trước mắt các dân tộc. Tận cùng trái đất sẽ thấy chiến thắng khải hoàn của Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta.
11 So, leave [the places where you were taken to when you were captured], where [everything is] unacceptable to God. You men who carry the items used for the worship of Yahweh, leave there [and return to Jerusalem], and purify yourselves [in order to be acceptable to worship God].
Hãy ra đi! Đi ngay và lìa bỏ xích xiềng nô lệ, bất cứ nơi nào con đụng đến đều ô uế. Hãy rời khỏi đó và thanh tẩy thân mình, các con là người mang khí dụng của Chúa Hằng Hữu.
12 But it will not [be necessary] for you to leave suddenly, to flee in panic, because Yahweh will (go in front of/lead) you; and he will [also] protect you [from being attacked] at the rear [while you travel].
Các con ra đi không cần vội vã hay trốn tránh. Vì Chúa Hằng Hữu sẽ đi trước các con; phải, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên sẽ đi sau bảo vệ các con.
13 [Yahweh says], “Listen carefully! My servant will act wisely (OR, do the right things to accomplish what he wants to), and I will highly exalt him.”
Này, Đầy Tớ Ta sẽ thịnh vượng; Người sẽ được tôn trọng tán dương.
14 But many people will be appalled when they see what has happened to him. [Because of his being beaten very badly], his appearance will be changed; people will hardly recognize that he is a human.
Nhiều người ngạc nhiên khi thấy Người. Mặt Người biến dạng không còn giống người nào, và hình dạng Người không còn giống loài người nữa.
15 But he will cause [people of] many nations to be surprised; [even] kings will be silent when they stand in front of him, because they will see someone that no one had told them about [previously], and they will understand things that they had not heard about [before].
Người sẽ tẩy rửa nhiều dân tộc. Đứng trước mặt Người, các vua sẽ im thin thít. Vì chúng sẽ thấy điều chưa nghe nói trước kia; chúng sẽ hiểu những điều chưa bao giờ được nghe.
