Hosea 3

1 Then Yahweh said to me, “Go and show to your wife that you still love her, even though she has been committing adultery with another man who loves her. [That will show that] I still love the people of Israel, even though they worship other gods/idols and eat raisin cakes [in feasts that honor those gods].”

ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे फ़रमाया, जा, उस 'औरत से जो अपने यार की प्यारी और बदकार है, मुहब्बत रख; जिस तरह कि ख़ुदावन्द बनी — इस्राईल से जो गै़र — मा'बूदों पर निगाह करते हैं और किशमिश के कुल्चे चाहते हैं, मुहब्बत रखता है।

2 [My wife had become a slave, ] but I bought her for (6 ounces/179 grams) of silver and ten bushels of barley.

इसलिए, मैने उसे पन्द्रह रुपये और डेढ़ ख़ोमर जौ देकर अपने लिए मोल लिया।

3 Then I said to her, “You must wait for many days [before we sleep together] [EUP]. During that time, you must not be a prostitute, and you must not have sex with any other man; but I will live with you.”

और उसे कहा, तू मुद्दत — ए — दराज़ तक मुझ पर क़ना'अत करेगी, और हरामकारी से बाज़ रहेगी और किसी दूसरे की बीवी न बनेगी, और मैं भी तेरे लिए यूँ ही रहूँगा।

4 [Our doing that will show that] in the same way, the people of Israel will not have a king and [other] leaders for many years. They will not offer sacrifices or [have sacred stone] pillars, no sacred vest [for the Supreme Priest], and no idols!

क्यूँकि बनी — इस्राईल बहुत दिनों तक बादशाह और हाकिम और कु़र्बानी और सुतून और अफ़ूद और तिराफ़ीम के बगै़र रहेंगे।

5 But later, the people of Israel will return to Yahweh their God and [be guided by him and] by a king who is a descendant of [King] David. In the last/future days they will come to Yahweh, revering him and trembling [in his presence], and he will bless them.

इसके बाद बनी — इस्राईल रुजू' लाएँगे, और ख़ुदावन्द अपने ख़ुदा को और अपने बादशाह दाऊद को ढूँडेंगे और आख़िरी दिनों में डरते हुए ख़ुदावन्द और उसकी मेहरबानी के तालिब होंगे।
