Hosea 3
1 Then Yahweh said to me, “Go and show to your wife that you still love her, even though she has been committing adultery with another man who loves her. [That will show that] I still love the people of Israel, even though they worship other gods/idols and eat raisin cakes [in feasts that honor those gods].”
பின்பு யெகோவா என்னிடம், “நீ உன் மனைவியிடம் திரும்பவும் போய், அவளிடத்தில் அன்பு செலுத்து, அவள் உன் மனைவி. வேறொருவனால் அன்பு செலுத்தப்பட்டவளும், விபசாரியுமாய் இருந்தாலும், நீ அவளில் அன்பு செலுத்து. வேறு தெய்வங்களின் பக்கம் திரும்பி, புனிதமான திராட்சைப்பழ அடைகளை விரும்புகிற இஸ்ரயேலில் யெகோவா அன்பாயிருக்கிறதுபோல, நீயும் அவளில் அன்பாயிரு என்றார்.”
2 [My wife had become a slave, ] but I bought her for (6 ounces/179 grams) of silver and ten bushels of barley.
எனவே நான் அவளை எனக்காக பதினைந்து வெள்ளிக்காசுகளுக்கும், 150 கிலோ வாற்கோதுமையும் கொடுத்து வாங்கினேன்.
3 Then I said to her, “You must wait for many days [before we sleep together] [EUP]. During that time, you must not be a prostitute, and you must not have sex with any other man; but I will live with you.”
பின்பு நான் அவளிடம், “அநேக நாட்களுக்கு நீ என்னுடனே வாழவேண்டும்; நீ வேசியாயிராதே, நீ ஒருவரோடும் பாலுறவு கொள்ளாதே; நான் உனக்காகத் காத்திருப்பேன், நான் உன்னுடன் வாழ்வேன் என்றேன்.”
4 [Our doing that will show that] in the same way, the people of Israel will not have a king and [other] leaders for many years. They will not offer sacrifices or [have sacred stone] pillars, no sacred vest [for the Supreme Priest], and no idols!
இஸ்ரயேலர் அநேக நாட்களுக்கு அரசனும் இளவரசனும் இல்லாமலும், பலியும், ஏபோத்தும், புனிதக் கற்களும் இல்லாமலும் இருப்பார்கள். விக்கிரகங்களுங்கூட இல்லாமல் இருப்பார்கள்.
5 But later, the people of Israel will return to Yahweh their God and [be guided by him and] by a king who is a descendant of [King] David. In the last/future days they will come to Yahweh, revering him and trembling [in his presence], and he will bless them.
இவற்றுக்குப்பின் இஸ்ரயேலர் திரும்ப வந்து, தங்களது இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவையும், அரசனாகிய தாவீதையும் தேடுவார்கள். கடைசி நாட்களில் அவர்கள் யெகோவாவையும், அவருடைய ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் நாடி, நடுக்கத்துடன் வருவார்கள்.
