Ezekiel 35

1 Yahweh gave me another message. He said,

সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,

2 “You human, turn toward Edom and prophesy what will happen to its people. Say that this is what Yahweh says to them:

“হে মানবসন্তান, তুমি তোমার মুখ সেয়ীয় পাহাড়ের বিরুদ্ধে রাখো; তার বিরুদ্ধে ভবিষ্যদ্‌বাণী বলো,

3 ‘You who live near Seir Mountain [in Edom], I am opposed to you, and I will use my power [MTY] to strike you and cause your country to become a wasteland.

এবং বলো: ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, হে সেয়ীর পাহাড়, আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে, আমার হাত বাড়িয়ে তোমাকে একটি জনশূন্য পতিত জমি করে রাখব।

4 I will cause your country to be ruined and desolate. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].

আমি তোমার নগরগুলি ধ্বংসস্থান করব এবং তুমি হবে জনশূন্য। তখন তুমি জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।

5 You have always been enemies of the Israeli people. You [rejoiced] when they experienced a great disaster: [their enemies attacked them with] swords, when I punished them [for the sins that they had committed].

“‘কারণ তোমার প্রাচীন শত্রুভাব আছে এবং ইস্রায়েলীদের বিপদের সময় যখন তাদের শাস্তি সম্পূর্ণভাবে দেওয়া হয়েছে তখন তুমি তরোয়ালের হাতে তাদের তুলে দিয়েছ,

6 Therefore, I, Yahweh the Lord, declare that as surely as I am alive, I will allow [your enemies] to slaughter [MTY] you and continue to slaughter you. You were happy when [LIT] others were slaughtered;

এজন্য, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য দিয়ে বলছি, আমি তোমাকে রক্তপাতের হাতে তুলে দেব এবং তা তোমার পিছনে তাড়া করবে। যেহেতু তুমি রক্তপাত ঘৃণা করোনি, রক্তপাতই তোমার পিছনে তাড়া করবে।

7 so I will cause Seir Mountain to be abandoned/deserted, and I will get rid of anyone who enters it or leaves it.

আমি সেয়ীর পাহাড়কে জনশূন্য করব এবং যারা সেখানে যাওয়া-আসা করে তাদের উচ্ছিন্ন করব।

8 I will cause your mountains to be filled with [the corpses of] those who have been killed. The corpses of those who have been killed by [your enemies’] swords will lie on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines.

আমি তোমার পাহাড়গুলিকে নিহত লোকদের দিয়ে ভরে দেব; যারা যুদ্ধে মারা গেছে তারা তোমার পাহাড়গুলিতে, উপত্যকাগুলিতে এবং তোমার সব জলের স্রোতে পড়ে থাকবে।

9 I will cause your land to be deserted forever. No one will live in your towns again. When that happens, you will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].

চিরকালের জন্য আমি তোমাকে জনশূন্য করে রাখব; তোমার নগরগুলিতে কেউ বাস করবে না। তখন তুমি জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।

10 You people said, “Israel and Judah will become ours. We will take over their territory!” You said that even though I, Yahweh, was still there [and protecting them].

“‘কারণ তুমি বলেছ, “এই দুই জাতি এবং দেশ আমাদের হবে আর আমরা সেগুলির অধিকারী হব,” যদিও আমি সদাপ্রভু সেখানে ছিলাম,

11 Therefore, I, Yahweh the Lord, declare that as surely as I am alive, I will punish [MTY] you for being angry with my people, envying them, and hating them.

এজন্য, সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন, আমার জীবনের দিব্য দিয়ে বলছি, তাদের প্রতি ঘৃণায় তুমি যেমন রাগ ও হিংসা দেখিয়েছ সেই অনুসারেই আমি তোমার সঙ্গে ব্যবহার করব এবং আমি যখন তোমার বিচার করব তখন তাদের মধ্যে আমি নিজেকে প্রকাশ করব।

12 Then you will know that I, Yahweh, have heard all the disgusting things that you have said about the mountains in Israel. You said that they have been ruined/devastated, and that they have been given to you to occupy [MET].

তখন তুমি জানবে যে, তুমি ইস্রায়েলের সব পাহাড়ের বিরুদ্ধে যেসব অপমানের কথা বলেছ তা আমি সদাপ্রভু শুনেছি। তুমি বলেছ, “সেগুলি ধ্বংস হয়ে পড়ে আছে এবং তা গ্রাস করার জন্য আমাদের দেওয়া হয়েছে।”

13 When you insulted me, I heard all that you said about me.

তুমি আমার বিরুদ্ধে গর্ব করে অনেক কথা বলেছ, আর আমি সেইসব শুনেছি।

14 So this is what I, Yahweh the Lord, say: You people who live on Seir Mountain and in all the other places in Edom, when I cause your land to become desolate, everyone in the entire world will rejoice.

সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন সমস্ত পৃথিবী যখন আনন্দ করবে তখন আমি তোমাকে জনশূন্য করব।

15 You were happy when the land [MTY] of the Israeli people became desolate, so I will cause your land to become desolate. When that happens, people will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].’”

ইস্রায়েল কুলের অধিকার হিসেবে যে দেশ পেয়েছে তা জনশূন্য দেখে তুমি যেমন আনন্দ করেছ তেমনি করে আমি তোমার সঙ্গে ব্যবহার করব। হে সেয়ীর পাহাড়, তুমি এবং ইদোমের বাকি সমস্ত জায়গা জনশূন্য হবে। তখন লোকে জানবে যে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।’”
