< Deuteronomy 31 >

1 When Moses/I finished saying all that to the Israeli people,
Chuin Mose’n Israel mite henga, thuhi chengse hi asei peh in ahi.
2 he/I said to them, “Now I am 120 years old. I am no longer able to go everywhere [that you go] (OR, to be your leader). Furthermore, Yahweh has told me that I will not cross the Jordan [River].
Ajah uvah hiti hin aseiye, tunin keima kum jakhat leh kum somni ka lhing tai, ajeh chu keima che le vale kabol tahlou ding hichu Pakaiyin ka henga aseiyin, nangman hiche Jordan hi nagal kai thei lou ding ahi, ati.
3 But Yahweh our God will go ahead of you. He will [enable you to] destroy the nations that are living there, in order that you can occupy their land. Joshua will be your leader, which is what Yahweh already told me.
Pakai, Pathen chu nama sang lam'uva che ding, Aman nalam kai diu nama sang lam'uva namtin vaipi hijat pi hi asuh mang jeng ding, nama sang'uva nam mite hon chenna ding gam anei lou diu ahi. Pakai thupeh banga Joshua in nalam kai lhung diu ahi.
4 Yahweh will do to those nations what he did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amor people-group when he destroyed their armies [MTY].
Hiche nam tin vaipi khu jat chunga khu, Pakaiyin Amor mite lah a leng teni Sihon leh Og abolna bang banga asuh mang diu ahi.
5 Yahweh will enable you to conquer those nations, but you must [kill all of the people of those nations, which is] what I have commanded you to do.
Pakaiyin amaho jouse khu nangho khut a ahin pehdoh ding, chuteng keiman ka thupeh banga hi nabol diu ahi.
6 Be brave and confident. Do not be afraid of those people. [Do not forget that] it is Yahweh our God who will go with you. He will always help [LIT] you and never abandon you.”
Kichatna ima nanei thei lou diu, chule nahat uva nahansan diu, ging lou hela naum diu ahi. Ajeh chu nanghon na kilhon piu hi Pakai, Pathen ahijing in, Pakaiyin na umpi jing uvin nada lhah louhel diu ahi.
7 Then Moses/I summoned Joshua, and while all the Israeli people were listening, he/I said to him, “Be brave and confident. You are the one who will lead these people into the land that Yahweh promised to our ancestors that he would give to them, and you will enable them to occupy it.
Chuin Mose’n jong Joshua akouvin Israel mite jouse mitmun aheng’a hiti hin aseipeh tai. Hat unlang hangsan uvn, mipi hijat hi napuiyuva Pakaiyin apu apateu khanga akitepna gamsung’a na puilut diu, amaho hi hiche gam sunga chu nachen sah a agam pumpi nalo sah tei diu ahi.
8 It is Yahweh who will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will always help [LIT] you. He will never abandon you. So do not be afraid or dismayed.”
Na masang lam'uva lamkai hi Pakai bou ahin, aman nalhonpi jing un, dalha louva ijakai asuh bukim soh ding, hiche miho chunga khu kichatna nanei lou diu, lungthoi louhela naum jing diu ahi.
9 Moses/I wrote down all these laws [on two scrolls] and gave [one scroll] to the priests, who carried the chest containing the Ten Commandments, and [gave the other scroll] to the Israeli elders.
Chuin Mose’n danthu chu asundoh in, danthu lekhabu chu Levi chapate Pakai thingkong pua pangho chengse chu abonchan ape soh keiyin ahi.
10 Moses/I told them, “At the end of every seven years, at the time that all debts are canceled, [read this to the people] during the Festival of [Living in Temporary] Shelters.
Mose’n amaho chengse chu thu apen hiti hin aseiye. Kum sagi ahung kichaiya, ki lhadohna phat ahung lhin teng, hichu lhambuh kut bolphat toh kitoh ding ahi.
11 Read it to all the Israeli people when they gather at the place that Yahweh chooses for them to worship him.
Israel mite hi Pakai, Pathen in adeilhen namuna chu ahung kilah tengleh, Israel mite jouse jah dinga hiche danthu lekhabu hi nasem doh ding ahi.
12 Gather together everyone—men, women, children, even the foreigners [who are living] in your towns—in order that they may hear [these laws] and learn to revere Yahweh our God, and to faithfully obey everything that is written in these laws.
Mipi ho chu nakhop kimsoh kei ding, pasal ahin, numei ahin, ajahsoh kei diu Pakai, Pathen gindan ahet them cheh diu, hiche danthua ki sei jouse aboldoh sohkei na diuva nathu mop cheh diu ahi.
13 [If they do that], your descendants who have never known these laws will hear them and will also learn to revere Yahweh our God, during all the years that they live in the land that you are about to cross the Jordan [River] to occupy.”
Ajakha loulai achilhahte geiyin ajah theina ding in, Jordan galkaiya hiche gamsung nalut tenguleh hichengse hi nachate hou nahil jing diu ahi.
14 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Listen carefully. You will soon die. Summon Joshua, and you go to the Sacred Tent with him, in order that I may appoint him [to be the new leader].” So Joshua and Moses/I went to the Sacred Tent.
Pakaiyin Mose henga aseiyin, nathi nading nikho ahung naitai, Joshua henga seiyin lang ponbuh sunga hung lut lhon in, chutengleh keiman Joshua hi tha kapeh kit ding ahi. Hiti chun Mose leh Joshua jong achelhon in, ponbuh sunga chun aga lut lhon tan ahi.
15 There Yahweh appeared to them/us in a pillar of cloud, and that cloud was close to the door of the tent.
Chutah chun Pakai chu ponbuh sunga meibang lom bang in ahung kilah in ahung kitung tan ahi. Hiti chun meibang lom chu ponbuh kotpi phung achun khom bang in akitung tan ahi.
16 Yahweh said to Moses/me, “You will soon die [EUP]. Then these people will become unfaithful [MET] to me. They will abandon me and (break/stop obeying) the agreement that I made with them. They will begin to worship the foreign/pagan gods [that are worshiped by the people] of the land that they will enter.
Chuin Pakaiyin, Mose henga aseiyin, ven! Nangma napu, napate toh nalup khom nading phat ahung naitai. Nangma nung tengleh hiche mite hi abonchauva ahet phah lou nau gamsung ahin chot lut diu, pathen lim semthu nung ahinjui uva, notiho lah a vahlut gamdiu, keima umna jeng jong hepha louva umdiu, keima toh kitepna kasem jeng jong asuh keh hel diu ahi.
17 When that happens, I will become very angry with them. I will abandon them [DOU] and I will no longer help them [IDM], and I will destroy them {they will be destroyed}. Many terrible things will happen to them, with the result that they will say, ‘[We are certain that] [RHQ] these things are happening to us because our God is no longer with us.’
Chutia achon ni tenguleh keima lunghanna achung'uva hung soudoh jeng ding, keiman jong amaho kanung ngat jeng ding, chuteng mihon amaho abahgam jeng diu, thilse tincheng le hesoh gentheinan abop diu, eiho Pathen in ei umpi lou phat uva thilse hijatpi hi eiho chunga hung lhung jeng ahitai, tia asei diu ahi.
18 And because of all the evil things that they will have done, and [especially because] they will have started to worship other gods, I will refuse to help [IDM] them.
Hitia thil ahin bol niteng uleh keiman jong ama hoa kona kamai kasel manga ka nung sun diu, ajeh chu amaho hin pathen semthu ho abel gam tauvin ahi.
19 “So, [I am going to give you] a song. Write it [on a scroll] and teach it to the Israeli people and cause them to memorize it. It will be like a witness that accuses them.
Tun nanghon hichengse sun doh unlang, Israel mite henga nahil them diu ahi. Hiche hi Israel mite douna keima hettoh sahna apang jing din akam sung uvah mop soh keiyun.
20 I am about to take them into a very fertile [IDM] land, a land that I solemnly promised their ancestors that I would give to them. There they will have plenty to eat, with the result that their [stomachs] will [always] be full and they will become fat. But then they will turn to other gods and start to worship them, and they will despise me and (break/stop obeying) the agreement that I made with them.
Ajeh chu apu, apate hou peh dinga ka kihahselna gamsung khoiju leh bongnoi lonna gam sunga ka hinpui lut phat uvin, anomsa gam tauvin, tun akihei mang gamsoh keiyun pathen chom chom abel tauvin, hiche ho kinbol in apang un, keima don louvin eikoi tauvin ahi.
21 And they will experience many terrible disasters. After that happens, their descendants will never forget this song, and it will be like a witness [that says, ‘Now you know why Yahweh punished your ancestors].’ I will soon take them into the land that I vowed that I would give to them; but now, before I do that, I know what they are thinking [that they will do when they are living there].”
Thilse tincheng in ahin lhun den diu, hiche la hi amaho dinga hettohsanaa hung pang jing ding ahi. Hiche la hi haimil louhela achilhahteu khangeiya achin jing diu, ajeh chu keiman katepna gam sunga kahin puilut masang uva alunggel ngaitou ijakai ka hetsoh ahitai.
22 So on the day that [Yahweh gave Moses/me this song], he/I wrote it down, and he/I taught it to the Israeli people.
Chuin Mose’n jong hiche nikho mama chun la chu asundoh in, Israel mite jouse ahilthem soh keiyin ahi.
23 Then Yahweh (appointed/set apart) Joshua and said to him, “Be brave and confident, because you will lead the Israeli people into the land that I vowed that I would give to them. And I will be with you.”
Pakaiyin, Nun chapa Joshua tha apen ahenga hiti hin asei peh e. Hat jing in, hangsan jing in, ajeh chu nangman Israel chate jouse ka kitepna gam sunga khu nahin puilut ding, kei man ka umpi jing nai, ati.
24 Then Moses/I finished writing on a scroll all the laws that Yahweh had told to him/me.
Mose’n jong hiche danthu chengse chu abonchan asundoh soh keiyin, achaina geiyin asundoh soh keiyin ahi.
25 Then Moses/I told the descendants of Levi, who were carrying the Sacred Chest that contained the Ten Commandments,
Chuin Mose’n Pakai kitepna thingkong pua pang, Levi mite henga hiti hin aseipeh tauve.
26 “Take this scroll on which these laws [are written], and place it beside the Sacred Chest that contains the agreement that Yahweh our God made with you, in order that it may remain there to testify [about what Yahweh will do] to the people [if they disobey him].
Hiche danthu lekhabu hi, Pakai kitepna thing kong sunga chun koijun, hiche hi nangho douna hettoh sahnaa pang jing ding ahi.
27 [I say this] because I know that these people are very stubborn [DOU]. They have rebelled against Yahweh all during the time that I have been [with them], and they will rebel much more after I die!
Ajeh chu doumah mah in nachon in, nalou chal e tijong kahen, tun vevin, nangho toh kaum jing in jong Pakai doumah tampi nabol un, ka thi nung le ijat nabolbe diu hitam!
28 So gather all the elders of the tribes and your officials, in order that I can tell them the words [of this song], and request all those who are in heaven and on the earth to be witnesses to testify against these people.
Nalah uva upa ho jouse na phung kailhah cheh uva kon in ka henga hinsol tauvin, nalah uva vaihoma pangho jong hinkou khom unlang, thu hijat chengse hi aheng uva ka seipeh ding, amaho douna hettohsana apang dinga van leh leiset kakou khom ding ahi.
29 I say that because I know that after I die, the people will become very wicked. They will turn away from doing everything that I have commanded them to do. And in the future, because of all the evil things that they will do, they will cause Yahweh to become angry with them. And he will cause them to experience disasters.”
Ajeh chu keima thi nung teng melse tah tah a nachon diu, ka thupeh jousea kona na kihei manghel diu ahiti, ka hesoh keiyin, akhon nileh nachung uva thilse hung lhung ding, Pakai mit mua thilse jeng nahin bol diu, nakhut chaloh danu ijakaiya kona Pakai lunghanna na chung uva hung lhung ding ahi.
30 Then, while all the Israeli people listened, Moses/I sang/recited this entire song to them:
Mose’n jong hiche la chu Israel mite jouse nabenga ahetsah tan ahi.
