Deuteronomy 27
1 Moses/I, along with the other Israeli leaders, said this to the people: “Obey all the commandments that I am giving to you today.
Sau đó, Môi-se và các trưởng lão Ít-ra-ên nói cùng toàn dân: “Anh em phải tuân giữ mọi mệnh lệnh tôi truyền ngày nay.
2 [Soon] you will cross the Jordan [River] and enter the land that Yahweh, the God whom our ancestors [worshiped], promised to give to you. There, in that very fertile [IDM] land on the [west] side of the Jordan [River], set up some large stones [on Ebal Mountain], and cover them with plaster. Then write on those stones all these laws and teachings/instructions.
Ngày qua Sông Giô-đan tiến vào đất nơi Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, ban cho anh em, anh em phải lấy đá lớn, dùng hồ trét lên
rồi khắc vào các bia đá này mọi luật lệ của Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời cho anh em đất đai phì nhiêu như Ngài đã hứa với các tổ tiên.
Và khi qua Giô-đan rồi, hãy dựng các bia đá này trên núi Ê-banh, như tôi đã truyền dặn.
5 And build a stone altar there to offer sacrifices to Yahweh, but do not cut those stones with iron tools.
Anh em cũng phải xây một bàn thờ cho Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, bằng đá nguyên tảng, không đục không đẽo.
6 The altar that you make to burn sacrifices to Yahweh our God must be made with uncut stones.
Trên đó, anh em sẽ dâng lễ thiêu lên Ngài.
7 And there you must sacrifice offerings to maintain fellowship with Yahweh, and you must eat [your share of those offerings] and rejoice/celebrate in the presence of Yahweh.
Anh em cũng dâng lễ vật tri ân và ăn mừng tại đó trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em.
8 And, when you write these laws on those stones, you must write them very clearly.”
Nhớ viết tất cả luật lệ lên các bia đá thật rõ ràng.”
9 Then Moses/I, along with the priests, said to all the Israeli people, “You Israeli people, be quiet and listen [to what I am saying]. Today you have become the people who belong to Yahweh, our God.
Môi-se và các thầy tế lễ người Lê-vi cũng kêu gọi toàn dân: “Hỡi Ít-ra-ên, hãy yên lặng, và chú ý! Hôm nay Đức Chúa Trời của anh em được làm dân của Chúa Hằng Hữu rồi.
10 So, you must do what he tells you, and obey all the rules and regulations that I am giving to you today.”
Vậy anh em phải vâng lời Chúa Hằng Hữu, Đức Chúa Trời của anh em, và tuân lệnh Ngài truyền.”
11 On that same day Moses/I said to the Israeli people,
Hôm ấy, Môi-se cũng buộc dân chúng làm điều này:
12 “After you have crossed over the Jordan [River], the tribes of Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin must stand on Gerizim Mountain and [request Yahweh to] bless the people.
“Khi sang Sông Giô-đan rồi, người thuộc các đại tộc Si-mê-ôn, Lê-vi, Giu-đa, Y-sa-ca, Giô-sép, và Bên-gia-min phải đứng trên Núi Ga-ri-xim để chúc phước.
13 And the tribes of Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali must stand on Ebal Mountain and listen to the things that Yahweh will do when he curses the people.
Còn người thuộc các đại tộc Ru-bên, Gát, A-se, Sa-bu-luân, Đan, và Nép-ta-li phải đứng trên Núi Ê-banh để nguyền rủa.
14 The descendants of Levi must shout these words loudly:
Người Lê-vi sẽ lớn tiếng tuyên bố với toàn dân Ít-ra-ên như sau:
15 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who makes an idol of stone, or of wood, or of metal, and secretly sets it up [and worships it]. Yahweh considers that those things, made by humans [SYN], are detestable/disgusting.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Người nào làm và thờ hình tượng, là vật gớm ghiếc cho Chúa Hằng Hữu, phải bị nguyền rủa, dù tượng được giấu tại một nơi kín, dù tượng chạm hay tượng đúc cũng vậy.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
16 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai khinh bỉ cha mẹ mình phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
17 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who removes someone else’s markers of property boundaries.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai dời trụ ranh giới để lấn đất láng giềng phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
18 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who leads a blind person to go (in the wrong direction/where that person does not want to go).’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai làm cho người mù lạc lối phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
19 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who deprives foreigners or orphans or widows of the things that the laws state must be done for them.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai xử bất công với người ngoại kiều, cô nhi, hay quả phụ phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
20 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who (shows no respect for/disgraces his father) by having sex with [EUP] any of his father’s wives.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai ngủ với vợ kế cha mình phải bị nguyền rủa, vì người ấy xúc phạm vợ cha mình.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
21 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex [EUP] with any animal.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai ngủ với thú vật phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
22 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with his sister or with his half-sister.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai ngủ với chị em mình, dù chị em cùng cha khác mẹ, cùng mẹ khác cha, phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
23 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who has sex with [EUP] his mother-in-law.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai ngủ với bà gia phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
24 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who secretly murders someone else.’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai ám sát người phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
25 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who accepts a bribe to murder someone who (is innocent/has not done something that is wrong.)’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’
‘Ai nhận của hối lộ để giết người vô tội phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’
26 ‘Yahweh will curse anyone who disobeys these laws and refuses to declare that these laws [are good].’ And all the people must reply, ‘(Amen/We want that to happen).’”
‘Ai không tuân hành luật này phải bị nguyền rủa.’ Toàn dân sẽ đáp: ‘A-men.’”
