< Deuteronomy 27 >

1 Moses/I, along with the other Israeli leaders, said this to the people: “Obey all the commandments that I am giving to you today.
Pea naʻe fekau ʻe Mōsese mo e kau mātuʻa ʻo ʻIsileli ki he kakai, ʻo pehē, “Tauhi ʻae ngaahi fekau kotoa pē ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate kimoutolu he ʻaho ni.
2 [Soon] you will cross the Jordan [River] and enter the land that Yahweh, the God whom our ancestors [worshiped], promised to give to you. There, in that very fertile [IDM] land on the [west] side of the Jordan [River], set up some large stones [on Ebal Mountain], and cover them with plaster. Then write on those stones all these laws and teachings/instructions.
Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē, ʻi he ʻaho ko ia te mou ʻalu ai ki he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Sioatani ki he fonua ʻaia ʻoku foaki kiate koe ʻe Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, te ke fokotuʻu ai ʻae ngaahi maka lahi maʻau, pea ke ʻaofi ʻaki ia ʻae lahe:

5 And build a stone altar there to offer sacrifices to Yahweh, but do not cut those stones with iron tools.
Pea te ke fokotuʻu ʻi ai ʻae feilaulauʻanga kia Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, ko e feilaulauʻanga maka: ʻoua naʻa ke hiki ki ai ha [toki ]ukamea.
6 The altar that you make to burn sacrifices to Yahweh our God must be made with uncut stones.

7 And there you must sacrifice offerings to maintain fellowship with Yahweh, and you must eat [your share of those offerings] and rejoice/celebrate in the presence of Yahweh.
Pea te ke ʻatu ai ʻae ngaahi feilaulau fakamelino, pea ke kai ʻi ai, pea ke fiefia ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua.
8 And, when you write these laws on those stones, you must write them very clearly.”
Pea te ke tohi ki he ngaahi maka ʻae ngaahi lea kotoa pē ʻoe fono ni ke ʻilongofua.”

Pea naʻe lea ʻa Mōsese mo e kau taulaʻeiki mo e kau Livai ki ʻIsileli kotoa pē, ʻo pehē, “ʻE ʻIsileli ke ke vakai, mo ke tokanga; kuo ke hoko he ʻaho ni ko e kakai ʻa Sihova ko ho ʻOtua.
10 So, you must do what he tells you, and obey all the rules and regulations that I am giving to you today.”
Ko ia ke ke fai talangofua ai ki he leʻo ʻo Sihova ko ho ʻOtua, pea fai ki heʻene ngaahi fekau mo ʻene ngaahi tuʻutuʻuni, ʻaia ʻoku ou fekau kiate koe he ʻaho ni.”
