Revelation 13
1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea that had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns and blasphemous names on his heads.
೧ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದ ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತನು. ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಮೃಗವು ಏರಿಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಳು ತಲೆಗಳೂ, ಹತ್ತು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳೂ, ಕೊಂಬುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತು ಕಿರೀಟಗಳೂ, ಹಣೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವದೂಷಣೆಯ ನಾಮಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದವು.
2 The beast I saw was like a leopard; his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.
೨ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಮೃಗವು ಚಿರತೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು ಅದರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕರಡಿಯ ಕಾಲುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿ ಸಿಂಹದ ಬಾಯಿಯಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪನು ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನೂ, ಮಹಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
3 One of the beast's heads appeared to be mortally wounded. But his mortal wound had been healed, and the whole world was amazed and followed the beast.
೩ಅದರ ತಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ತಲೆ ಗಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆ ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಗಾಯವು ವಾಸಿಯಾಯಿತು, ಭೂಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆ ಮೃಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
4 They worshiped the dragon that had given his authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against him?”
೪ಘಟಸರ್ಪನು ಆ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪನಿಗೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೂ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, “ಈ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನರು ಯಾರು? ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು?” ಎಂದರು.
5 The beast was given a mouth to utter great boasts and blasphemy, and he was given authority to wage war for forty-two months.
೫ಬಡಾಯಿಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಡುವ ಬಾಯಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ನಲವತ್ತೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳ ಪರ್ಯಂತರ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
6 And he opened his mouth to utter blasphemy against God and to slander his name and his tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
೬ಆ ಮೃಗವು ಬಾಯಿದೆರೆದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನ ನಾಮವನ್ನೂ, ಆತನು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನೂ, ಪರಲೋಕ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಿಸಿತು.
7 He was permitted to wage war against the saints and conquer them, and he was given authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation.
೭ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಸಕಲ ಕುಲ, ಜನ, ಭಾಷೆ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.
೮ಜಗದುತ್ಪತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಕೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯಾದಾತನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವಬಾಧ್ಯರ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಬರೆದಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಆ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear:
೯ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ,
10 “If anyone has captivity as his lot, away he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed.” This calls for the endurance and the faith of the saints.
೧೦ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುವವನು ತಾನೇ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನು, ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವಜನರಿಗೆ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.
೧೧ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮೃಗವು ಭೂಮಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಎರಡು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿದ್ದವು, ಅದು ಘಟಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿತು.
12 He exercised all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and made the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
೧೨ಈ ಮೃಗವು ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಎದುರು ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಗಾಯ ವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಭೂಲೋಕವೂ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.
13 He performed great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the presence of the people.
೧೩ಇದು ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಬರುವಂತಹ ಅದ್ಭುತಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ,
14 By the signs he was permitted to do in the presence of the first beast, he deceived my own people who dwell on the earth, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image of the first beast, who had the wound from the sword but still lived.
೧೪ಆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅವರಿಗೆ, ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕಿದ ಮೃಗದ ಘನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೋಧಿಸಿತು.
15 The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause whoever refused to worship the image to be killed.
೧೫ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವಕೊಡುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ದೊರೆಯಿತು. ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯು ಆದಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು.
16 The second beast required everyone, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
೧೬ಈ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಮೃಗವು, ದೊಡ್ಡವರು, ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು, ಬಡವರು, ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರು, ದಾಸರು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈಯ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ, ಹಣೆಯ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ ಗುರುತನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.
17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name.
೧೭ಆ ಗುರುತು ಯಾರಿಗಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವರು ಕ್ರಯ ವಿಕ್ರಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಗುರುತು ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಹೆಸರು ಅಥವಾ ಅದರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ.
18 This calls for wisdom: Let anyone who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man; his number is six hundred sixty-six.
೧೮ಇದನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲು ಜ್ಞಾನವು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಆ ಮೃಗದ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಲಿ, ಅದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು 666.
