Mark 4
1 Once again Jesus began to teach by the sea, and a large crowd was gathered around him. So he got into the boat and sat in it on the sea, while the entire crowd was beside the sea on the shore.
೧ಯೇಸುವು ಪುನಃ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡತೊಡಗಿದ್ದನು. ಬಹುಜನರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದೋಣಿಹತ್ತಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು; ಆ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೆರೆದುಬಂದಿದ್ದರು.
2 Then he taught them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them,
೨ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯರೂಪವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆ ಉಪದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ:
3 “Listen! A sower went out to sow.
೩“ಕೇಳಿರಿ! ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಬಿತ್ತುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
4 As he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.
೪ಬಿತ್ತುವಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಬಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು.
5 Other seed fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and it sprang up immediately because it had no depth of soil.
೫ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಣ್ಣಿಲ್ಲದ ಬಂಡೆಯ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಣ್ಣು ಆಳವಾಗಿಲ್ಲದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವು ಬೇಗ ಮೊಳೆತವು;
6 But when the sun rose, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
೬ಆದರೆ ಬಿಸಿಲೇರಿದಾಗ ಬಾಡಿ, ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋದವು.
7 Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it produced no fruit.
೭ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದವು; ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವು ಫಲಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
8 But other seed fell into good soil and produced fruit that grew and increased; some bore thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred times more than what was sown.”
೮ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಬೀಜಗಳು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಮೊಳೆತು ಬೆಳೆದು ಬಂದು ಫಲಕೊಟ್ಟವು; ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಮೂವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ಕೆಲವು ಅರುವತ್ತರಷ್ಟು, ಕೆಲವು ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವು.”
9 Then he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
೯ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು “ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ” ಅಂದನು.
10 When he was alone, those who were around him, along with the twelve, asked him about the parable.
೧೦ಆತನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಇದ್ದಾಗ, ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
11 So he said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside everything is said in parables,
೧೧ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ರಹಸ್ಯ ನಿಮಗೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಹೊರಗಿನವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ.”
12 so that ‘they may see but not perceive, and hear but not understand, lest they should turn back and their sins be forgiven them.’”
೧೨“ಅವರು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಂಡರೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಿವಿಯಾರೆ ಕೇಳಿದರೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗೆ ಕಂಡು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಪಾಪಕ್ಷಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.”
13 Then he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the other parables?
೧೩ಅನಂತರ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, “ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯದ ಅರ್ಥ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ?
14 The sower sows the word.
೧೪ಆ ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ವಾಕ್ಯವೆಂಬ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ.
15 Now some people are like the seed along the path, where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in their hearts.
೧೫ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಸೈತಾನನು ಬಂದು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇವರೇ ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೀಜವಾಗಿರುವರು.
16 Likewise, some people are like the seed sown on rocky ground. When they hear the word, they immediately receive it with joy.
೧೬“ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ;
17 Yet they have no root in themselves, but are only temporary. When tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, they immediately fall away.
೧೭ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣ ಇವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲ ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಇದ್ದು, ಬಳಿಕ ಆ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಸಂಕಟವಾಗಲಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಬಂದರೆ ಬೇಗ ಎಡವಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇವರೇ ಬಂಡೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೀಜವಾಗಿರುವರು.
18 Others are like the seed sown among the thorns. They hear the word,
೧೮“ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರು ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜವಾಗಿರುವವರು;
19 but the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
೧೯ಇವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಚಿಂತೆಗಳೂ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಿಂದುಂಟಾಗುವ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹವೂ, ಇತರ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಮೇಲಣ ಆಸೆಗಳೂ ಸೇರಿ ಆ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಷ್ಫಲರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. (aiōn g165)
20 But others are like the seed sown on the good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and bear fruit—some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred times more than what was sown.”
೨೦ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಮೂವತ್ತರಷ್ಟಾಗಲಿ ಅರವತ್ತರಷ್ಟಾಗಲಿ ನೂರರಷ್ಟಾಗಲಿ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಇವರೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಬೀಜವಾಗಿರುವವರು” ಅಂದನು.
21 He also said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed? Is it not brought in to be set on a lampstand?
೨೧ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ದೀಪವನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕೊಳಗದೊಳಗಾಗಲಿ, ಮಂಚದ ಕೆಳಗಾಗಲಿ ಇಡುವುದುಂಟೇ? ಅದನ್ನು ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಡುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ?
22 For there is nothing hidden that will not be made manifest, nor has anything been made secret, but that it may come to light.
೨೨ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವಂಥ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಾರದೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬಹಿರಂಗವಾಗದಿರುವ ಯಾವ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳು ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
೨೩ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
24 Then he said to them, “Consider what you hear. With the measure you use it will be measured to you, and more will be added to you who hear.
೨೪ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ; “ನೀವು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಅಳೆಯುವ ಅಳತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೂ ಅಳೆಯುವರು; ನಿಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು.
25 For whoever has will be given more, but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
೨೫ಇದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡುವುದು; ಇಲ್ಲದವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇದ್ದುದನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
26 He also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground.
೨೬ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೇಳಿದೇನಂದರೆ; “ಒಬ್ಬನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೂ, ಹಗಲು ಎಚ್ಚರವಿರುವಾಗಲೂ
27 He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he does not know how.
೨೭ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಬೀಜದ ಸಸಿ ಮೊಳೆತು ಬೆಳೆಯುವುದು. ಇದರಂತೆ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವೂ ಕೂಡ.
28 For the earth produces a crop by itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head.
೨೮ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮೊದಲು ಮೊಳಕೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ತೆನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ತರುವಾಯ ತೆನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಳನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
29 When the crop is ready, the man immediately sends in the sickle, for the harvest has come.”
೨೯ಆದರೆ ಫಲಮಾಗಿದಾಗ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಕಾಲ ಬಂದಿತೆಂದು ವ್ಯವಸಾಯಗಾರನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯಲು ಕುಡುಗೋಲನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
30 Then Jesus said, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God? Or what parable can we use to describe it?
೩೦ಇನ್ನೂ ಆತನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು; “ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸೋಣ? ಯಾವ ಸಾಮ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡೋಣ?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth.
೩೧ಅದು ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಕಾಳಿನಂತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿತ್ತುವಾಗ ಅದು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೀಜಗಳಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗಿದೆ.
32 Yet when it is sown, it grows and becomes larger than all the garden plants and produces large branches, so that the birds of the sky can nest in its shade.”
೩೨ಬಿತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದು ಬೆಳೆದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಾಡುವ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅದರ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ” ಅಂದನು.
33 With many similar parables he spoke the word to them, to the extent that they were able to understand it.
೩೩ಆತನು ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
34 He did not speak to them without using a parable, but privately he explained everything to his disciples.
೩೪ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನು ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲಾ. ಆದರೆ ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಆಪ್ತ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
35 On that day, when evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us cross over to the other side of the sea.”
೩೫ಆ ದಿನ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವಾದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಆಚೇದಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
36 So they left the crowd and took him with them in the boat, just as he was. Other little boats were also with him.
೩೬ಅವರು ಆ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅದೇ ದೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಬೇರೆ ದೋಣಿಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದವು.
37 Now a great windstorm arose, and the waves were beating against the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.
೩೭ತರುವಾಯ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಎದ್ದು ಅಲೆಗಳು ಆ ದೋಣಿಗೆ ಬಡಿದು ನೀರು ಒಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ದೋಣಿ ಆಗಲೇ ತುಂಬುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು.
38 But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. So they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do yoʋ not care that we are perishing?”
೩೮ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ದೋಣಿಯ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆದಿಂಬನ್ನು ಒರಗಿ ನಿದ್ದೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ, “ಗುರುವೇ, ನಾವು ಮುಳುಗಿಹೋಗುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಲ್ಲವೇ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
39 Then he woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” So the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
೩೯ಆತನು ಎದ್ದು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ, ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ “ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿರು, ಮೊರೆಯಬೇಡ” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಗಾಳಿ ನಿಂತುಹೋಗಿ ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಶಾಂತವಾಯಿತು.
40 Then he said to them, “Why are you so afraid? How is it that you have no faith?”
೪೦ತರುವಾಯ ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು, “ಯಾಕೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲವೇ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು
41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
೪೧ಅವರು ಬಹು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಈತನು ಯಾರಿರಬಹುದು? ಗಾಳಿಯೂ, ಸಮುದ್ರವೂ ಸಹ ಈತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೇಳುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
