Mark 15
1 As soon as it was morning, the chief priests took counsel with the elders, scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin. They bound Jesus, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.
೧ಬೆಳಗಾದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಹಿರಿಯರೂ, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, ಹಿರೀಸಭೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಪಿಲಾತನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
2 So Pilate asked him, “Are yoʋ the king of the Jews?” Jesus answered him, “Yoʋ have said it yoʋrself.”
೨ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನನ್ನು, “ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೋ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆತನು, “ನೀನೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
3 Then the chief priests accused him of many things.
೩ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೂರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
4 So Pilate asked him again, “Do yoʋ make no answer? See how many things they are testifying against yoʋ!”
೪ಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪುನಃ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು, “ನೀನು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನೋಡು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
5 But Jesus made no further answer, so Pilate was amazed.
೫ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.
6 Now at the feast Pilate would release one prisoner for the people, whomever they requested.
೬ಪ್ರತಿ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಬೇಡಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸೆರೆಯಾಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಪಿಲಾತನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
7 And there was a man named Barabbas who was in prison with his fellow insurrectionists who had committed murder in the insurrection.
೭ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಬ್ಬನೆಂಬುವನೊಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದನು; ಇವನನ್ನು ದಂಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ದಂಗೆಗಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
8 So the crowd cried out and began to ask Pilate to do what he had always done for them.
೮ಜನರು ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
9 Pilate answered them, “Do you want me to release for you the king of the Jews?”
೯ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಅಸೂಯೆಯಿಂದ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಪಿಲಾತನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, “ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡಬೇಕನ್ನುತ್ತಿರೋ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
10 (For he knew that the chief priests had handed Jesus over out of envy.)

11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release for them Barabbas instead.
೧೧ಆದರೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು, ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.
12 In response Pilate said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with the man you call King of the Jews?”
೧೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು, “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
13 They cried out again, “Crucify him!”
೧೩ಅವರು, “ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
14 Pilate said to them, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out all the more, “Crucify him!”
೧೪ಪಿಲಾತನು, “ಏಕೆ? ಇವನು ಏನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ?” ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು, “ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
15 Then Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas. But he scourged Jesus and handed him over to be crucified.
೧೫ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊರಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡಿಸಿ, ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
16 So the soldiers led him away into the palace (that is, the governor's headquarters) and called together the entire cohort of soldiers.
೧೬ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಅಂಗಳದೊಳಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಪಡೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
17 They clothed him with a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and put it on him.
೧೭ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ ನಸುಗೆಂಪು ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ ಮುಳ್ಳಿನ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಹೆಣೆದು ಆತನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟರು.
18 Then they began to salute him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”
೧೮ಅನಂತರ, “ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ” ಎಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.
19 They kept beating him on the head with a reed, spitting on him, and bending down on their knees to pay homage to him.
೧೯ಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆತನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದು, ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ, ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.
20 When they had finished mocking him, they stripped him of the purple robe and put his own garments back on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.
೨೦ಹೀಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ನಸುಗೆಂಪು ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಆತನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.
21 Now a certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the countryside. The soldiers pressed him into service, forcing him to carry Jesus' cross,
೨೧ಆಗ ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವನು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ, ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರೂಫ ಎಂಬುವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಕುರೇನೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸೀಮೋನನು.
22 and they brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means, “Place of the Skull”).
೨೨ಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ‘ಗೊಲ್ಗೊಥಾ’ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ‘ಗೊಲ್ಗೊಥಾ’ ಅಂದರೆ “ತಲೆಬುರುಡೆಗಳು ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳ” ಎಂದರ್ಥ.
23 Then they gave him wine to drink, mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.
೨೩ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ ಬೆರಸಿದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
24 And they crucified him. Then they divided his garments, casting lots for them to see who would take what.
೨೪ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಆತನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಪಾಲುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
25 It was the third hour when they crucified him.
೨೫ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಗಂಟೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
26 The inscription of the charge against him was written as follows: “The King of the Jews.”
೨೬“ಈತನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು” ಎಂದು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿದ್ದ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಯನ್ನು, ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
27 With him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left.
೨೭ಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕಳ್ಳರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.
28 So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “He was numbered with the lawless.”
೨೮ಆತನು ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು ಎಂಬ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಚನವು ಹೀಗೆ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರು ತಲೆ ಆಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿ “ಆಹಾ, ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನಃ ಕಟ್ಟುವವನೇ,
29 Those who passed by reviled him, shaking their heads and saying, “Ha! Yoʋ who would destroy the temple and build it in three days,
೨೯
30 save yoʋrself and come down from the cross!”
೩೦ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
31 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking him among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but he cannot save himself.
೩೧ಅದೇ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, “ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು; ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು.
32 Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see it and believe him.” The men who were crucified with him were also insulting him.
೩೨ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಈ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಈಗ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರಲಿ; ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದರೆ ನಾವು ನೋಡಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಣಕಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಸಹ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
33 From the sixth hour until the ninth hour, there was darkness over the whole land.
೩೩ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ ಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಯ ತನಕ ಆ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.
34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lima sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have yoʋ forsaken me?”
೩೪ಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಲಮಾಸಬಕ್ತಾನೀ?” ಅಂದರೆ “ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ಯಾಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ?” ಎಂದು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿದನು.
35 When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, he is calling for Elijah.”
೩೫ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, “ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಆತನು ಎಲೀಯನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಅಂದರು.
36 Then a man ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Leave him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take him down.”
೩೬ಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂಜಿನಿಂದ ಹುಳಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿ ಕೋಲಿನ ತುದಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ, “ಇವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲೀಯನು ಬರುವನೋ, ಏನೋ ಕಾದು ನೋಡೋಣ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
37 But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed his last breath.
೩೭ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
೩೮ಆಗ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರೆಯು ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹರಿದು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು.
39 Now when the centurion who was standing in front of Jesus saw how he cried out and breathed his last breath, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God.”
೩೯ಯೇಸು ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಗೆ ನಿಂತು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು, “ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನೇ” ಅಂದನು.
40 There were also some women looking on from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.
೪೦ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸಹ ದೂರದಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ, ಆತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಾದ ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳು, ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಸೆಯನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳು, ಸಲೋಮೆ ಎಂಬುವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಇದ್ದರು.
41 These women had followed Jesus and provided for him when he was in Galilee. There were also many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem.

42 When evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath),
೪೨ಆಗಲೇ ಸಂಜೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದಿನವು ‘ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ’ ದಿನ, ಅಂದರೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
43 Joseph of Arimathea, a respected council member, who was himself also waiting for the kingdom of God, came and boldly went in before Pilate to ask for Jesus' body.
೪೩ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅರಿಮಥಾಯದ ಯೋಸೇಫನೆಂಬುವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಹಿರೀಸಭೆಯ ಗೌರವಸ್ಥನಾದ ಸದ್ಯಸನೂ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವನು ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
44 Pilate was surprised that Jesus was already dead, so he called the centurion over and asked him if Jesus had been dead for some time.
೪೪ಪಿಲಾತನು, ಅವನು ಇಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದನೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ, ಅವನು ಆಗಲೇ ಸತ್ತನೋ ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
45 When he found out from the centurion that it was so, he granted the body to Joseph.
೪೫ಆತನು ಸತ್ತದ್ದನ್ನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಪಾರ್ಥಿವ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಿದನು.
46 After buying a linen cloth and taking him down, Joseph wrapped him in the linen cloth and laid him in a tomb that had been hewn in the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.
೪೬ಯೋಸೇಫನು ನಾರುಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುತಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿ ನಾರುಮಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಬಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರೆದಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ಸಮಾಧಿಯ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಉರುಳಿಸಿದನು.
47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
೪೭ಮಗ್ದಲದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಸೆಯನ ತಾಯಿ ಮರಿಯಳೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು.
