< Luke 1 >

1 Since many have undertaken to compile an account of the events that have been fulfilled among us,
Vangi vachi vava liki ku vika i nswanelo lye kande lyezo indava zichi zive zuzilizwa mukati ketu,

Ili ku pangila kuti mwi zive vuniti vwezo zintu zimu va lutwa.
5 In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah who belonged to the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”
Maria cha wamba kwi ñiloi, “Kai pangahale vule, kuvona kanini ku kopana ni mukwame?”,
35 The angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon yoʋ, and the power of the Most High will overshadow yoʋ; therefore the holy child that is to be born will be called the Son of God.
Iñiloi chilye tava niku wamba kwali, Luhuho Lujolola ka lwize hako, miziho za Sikwiwulu ka zize hako. Cwale iye uzo yo jolola yenke yese apepwe mwa sumpwe Mwana wa Ireza.

Kakuli kakwina chese nichi sa woleki ni Ireza.
38 Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it happen to me according to yoʋr word.” And the angel went away from her.
Maria chati “ubwene, ni muhikana wo mwanakazana wa Simwine.” Kuve vulyo kwangu kakuya che ñusa lyako. Mi iñiloi chilya musiya.
39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste to the hill country, to a town of Judah,

Cha koza inzwi lyakwe ni kuwamba kaku huwa “Iwe njo fwiyoletwe mukati kavanakazi, mi ni muselo we vumo lyako ufuyoletwe.”
43 How has this happened to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Mi chinzi hayi va pangahali kwangu kuti vanyina va Simwine wangu va swanela kwiza kwangu?
44 For behold, when the sound of yoʋr greeting came into my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

(mwava teli ku veshetu) kwa Aburahama niba mwi chilila kuya uko kusena mamanimani. (aiōn g165)
56 And Mary remained with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned to her house.
