< Ephesians 3 >

1 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles, bow my knees in prayer.
For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
2 Surely you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you,
if, indeed, you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
3 how God made the mystery known to me by revelation, just as I have written above in a few words.
that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words]—
4 When you read what I have written, you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
in regard to which you are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
5 which in previous generations was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets.
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit—
6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of God's promise in Christ through the gospel.
that the nations are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
7 I became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God's grace that was given to me by the working of his power.
of which I became a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
8 This grace was given to me, the very least of all the saints, to preach among the Gentiles the good news of the boundless riches of Christ,
to me—the less than the least of all the holy ones—was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news—the untraceable riches of the Christ,
9 and to bring to light for everyone the plan of the mystery that has been hidden for ages in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ. (aiōn g165)
and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
10 The purpose of bringing this to light is that, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms,
that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the Assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
11 according to the eternal purpose that God has carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 Because of Christ and our faith in him, we have boldness and confident access to God.
in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of Him,
13 Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, which will bring you glory.
for this reason, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 For this reason I bow my knees in prayer before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.
of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
16 I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he would grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened through His Spirit with might, in regard to the inner man,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith,
that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,
18 as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may be able to fully comprehend, together with all the saints, how wide and long and deep and high
that you may be in strength to comprehend, with all the holy ones, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine, according to the power at work within us—
and to Him who is able to do exceedingly [and] abundantly above all things that we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
21 to him be glory in the church in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to Him [is] the glory in the Assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)
