Luke 20
1 AND it was on one of the days, while he taught the people in the temple and evangelized, the chief priests and scribes with the elders rose up against him,
Un de ces jours-là, comme Jésus enseignait le peuple dans le temple, et qu'il annonçait la bonne nouvelle, les Princes des prêtres et les Scribes survinrent avec les Anciens,
2 and said to him, Tell us by what authority thou doest these, and who is he who gave thee this authority?
et lui dirent: " Dites-nous par quelle autorité vous faites ces choses, ou qui vous a donné cette autorité? "
3 Jeshu answered and said to them, I will also ask of you a word, and tell you me:
Jésus leur répondit: " Moi aussi je vous ferai une question. Répondez-moi.
4 the baptism of Juchanon, from heaven was it, or from the sons of men?
Le baptême de Jean était-il du ciel, ou des hommes? "
5 But they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven, he saith to us, Why did you not believe him?
Mais ils faisaient entre eux cette réflexion: " Si nous répondons: Du ciel, il nous dira: Pourquoi n'avez-vous pas cru en lui?
6 But if we shall say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they are persuaded that Juchanon was a prophet.
Et si nous répondons: Des hommes, tout le peuple nous lapidera, car il est persuadé que Jean était un prophète. "
7 And they said to him, We know not from whence it is.
Ils lui répondirent donc qu'ils ne savaient d'où il était.
8 Jeshu saith to them, Nor tell I you by what authority I do these.
" Et Moi, leur dit Jésus, je ne vous dis pas non plus par quelle autorité je fais ces choses. "
9 And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vinery, and let it to husbandmen, and removed for a great time.
Alors il se mit à dire au peuple cette parabole: " Un homme planta une vigne, et la loua à des vignerons; puis il s'en alla pour un temps assez long en pays étranger.
10 And at the season he sent his servant to the husbandmen that they should give him of the fruit of the vinery. But the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
La saison étant venue, il envoya un serviteur aux vignerons, afin qu'ils lui donnassent du produit de la vigne. Mais eux, l'ayant battu, le renvoyèrent les mains vides.
11 And he added and sent another servant; but they beat him also, and maltreated him, and sent him away empty.
Il envoya encore un autre serviteur; mais, l'ayant aussi battu et traité indignement, ils le renvoyèrent les mains vides.
12 And he added and sent a third; but they also wounded him, and cast him out.
Il en envoya un troisième; mais, lui aussi, les vignerons le blessèrent et le jetèrent dehors.
13 The lord of the vinery saith, What shall I do? I will send my son, the beloved; now will they see him and reverence him.
Alors le maître de la vigne se dit: Que ferai-je? J'enverrai mon fils bien-aimé; peut-être qu'en le voyant ils auront pour lui du respect.
14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
Mais lorsque les vignerons le virent, ils se dirent entre eux: Celui-ci est l'héritier, tuons-le, afin que l'héritage soit à nous.
15 And they cast him out of the vinery, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vinery do to them?
Et l'ayant jeté hors de la vigne, ils le tuèrent. Que leur fera donc le maître de la vigne?
16 He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vinery to others. But when they heard, they said, May this not be!
Il viendra et exterminera ces vignerons, et donnera sa vigne à d'autres. " Ce qu'ayant entendu, ils dirent: " A Dieu ne plaise! "
17 But he beheld them, and said, And what is that which is written, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?
Mais, fixant le regard sur eux, Jésus dit: " Qu'est-ce donc que cette parole de l'Ecriture: La pierre qu'ont rejetée ceux qui bâtissaient est devenue la pierre angulaire?
18 And every one who shall fall upon this stone shall be broken; and every one on whom it shall fall it will scatter him.
Quiconque tombera sur cette pierre sera brisé; et celui sur qui elle tombera, sera écrasé. "
19 But the chief priests and Sophree sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; but they feared the people, for they knew that concerning them(selves) he had spoken this parable.
Les Princes des prêtres et les Scribes cherchèrent à se saisir de lui à l'heure même; mais la crainte du peuple les retint, car ils comprenaient bien que c'était pour eux que Jésus avait dit cette parabole.
20 And they sent to him spies, who should resemble just men, that they might take him in discourse, and deliver him to the judgment and to the authority of the governor.
Ils ne le perdirent donc pas de vue, et lui envoyèrent des gens apostés qui feignaient d'être justes, pour le surprendre dans ses paroles, afin de le livrer à l'autorité et au pouvoir du gouverneur.
21 And they asked him, and said to him, Doctor, we know that thou speakest and teachest rightly, neither dost thou deceive, but with integrity thou teachest the way of Aloha.
Ces gens l'interrogèrent en ces termes: " Maître, nous savons que vous parlez et enseignez avec droiture, et sans faire acception de personne, mais que vous enseignez la voie de Dieu dans la vérité.
22 Is it lawful for us to give head-silver to Cesar or not?
Nous est-il permis, ou non, de payer le tribut à César? "
23 But he understood their subtilty, and said, Why tempt you me?
Jésus, connaissant leur fourberie, leur dit: " Pourquoi me tentez-vous?
24 Show me a dinara. Of whom upon it is the image and the inscription? But they said, Of Cesar.
Montrez-moi un denier. De qui porte-t-il l'effigie et le nom? " Ils lui répondirent: " De César. "
25 Jeshu saith to them, Give then of Cesar's to Cesar, and of Aloha's unto Aloha.
Et il leur dit: " Rendez donc à César ce qui est à César, et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu. "
26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and they wondered at his answer, and were silent.
Ainsi ils ne purent le prendre en défaut sur aucune parole devant le peuple; et admirant sa réponse, ils gardèrent le silence.
27 BUT some of the Zadukoyee approached, they who say that there is no resurrection;
Quelques-uns des Sadducéens, qui nient la résurrection, s'approchèrent alors et l'interrogèrent:
28 and they questioned him, and said to him, Doctor, Musha wrote to us that if a man's brother die having a wife who hath not children, his brother shall take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
" Maître, lui dirent-ils, Moïse nous a donné cette loi: Si un homme, ayant une femme, meurt sans laisser d'enfants, que son frère prenne sa femme, et suscite des enfants à son frère.
29 But there were seven brethren; and the first took; a wife, and died without children.
Or, il y avait sept frères; le premier prit une femme et mourut sans enfants.
30 And the second took his wife, and he died without children.
Le second prit sa femme, et mourut aussi sans enfants.
31 And the third also took her; and so also the seven of them: and they died and left no children.
Le troisième la prit ensuite, et de même tous les sept, et ils moururent sans laisser d'enfants.
32 Died in the end also the woman.
Après eux tous, la femme mourut aussi.
33 In the resurrection therefore, whose of them shall she be the wife? for the seven of them had taken her.
Duquel donc, au temps de la résurrection, sera-t-elle la femme, car elle l'a été de tous les sept? "
34 Jeshu saith to them, The sons of this world take wives, and women become (the wives) of men: (aiōn g165)
Jésus leur dit: " Les enfants de ce siècle se marient et sont donnés en mariage; (aiōn g165)
35 but they who of that world are worthy, and of the resurrection which is from among the dead, take not wives, neither do women become (the wives) of men. (aiōn g165)
mais ceux qui ont été trouvés dignes d'avoir part au siècle à venir et à la résurrection des morts, ne prennent point de femme et n'ont point de mari; (aiōn g165)
36 Neither again can they die, for they are as the angels; and the children are they of Aloha, because they have become the children of the resurrection.
aussi bien ne peuvent-ils plus mourir, puisqu'ils sont en comme les anges, et qu'ils sont fils de Dieu, étant fils de la résurrection.
37 But that the dead arise, Musha also showeth; for he commemorateth at the bush, while he saith, The Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Ishok, and the God of Jakub.
Mais que les morts ressuscitent, c'est ce que Moïse lui-même a fait connaître dans le passage du Buisson, lorsqu'il nomme le Seigneur: Le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac et le Dieu de Jacob.
38 But he was not the God of the dead, but of the living: for they all live unto him.
Or il n'est pas Dieu des morts, mais des vivants; car tous sont vivants devant lui. "
39 And some of the Sophree answered and said to him, Doctor, thou hast well said.
Quelques-uns des Scribes, prenant la parole, lui dirent: " Maître, vous avez bien parlé. "
40 And they dared not question him again of any thing.
Et ils n'osaient plus lui poser aucune question.
41 AND he said to them, How say the Sophree concerning the Meshicha, that he is the Son of David?
Jésus leur dit: " Comment dit-on que le Christ est fils de David?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
David lui-même dit dans le livre des Psaumes: Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur: Asseyez-vous à ma droite,
43 until I put thine adversaries beneath thy feet.
jusqu'à ce que je fasse de vos ennemis l'escabeau de vos pieds. —
44 If David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he his son?
David l'appelle donc Seigneur; comment peut-il être son fils? "
45 And while all the people heard, he said to his disciples,
Tandis que tout le peuple l'écoutait, il dit à ses disciples:
46 Beware of the Sophree, who will to walk in stoles, and love the shaloma in public places, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the chief reclining-places at evening feasts;
" Gardez-vous des Scribes, qui se plaisent à se promener en longues robes; qui aiment à être salués dans les places publiques, à occuper les premiers sièges dans les synagogues et les premières places dans les festins:
47 who devour the houses of widows, and for the occasion prolong their prayers: these shall receive the greater judgment.
ces gens qui dévorent les maisons des veuves, et font pour l'apparence de longues prières, subiront une condamnation plus sévère. "
