Luke 2
1 NOW it was in those days that there went forth a mandate from Augustus Caesar to enrol the people of his dominion.
Es begab sich aber zu der Zeit, daß ein Gebot von dem Kaiser Augustus ausging, daß alle Welt geschätzt würde.
2 This enrolment was first made under the government of Qurinos in Suria.
Und diese Schätzung war die allererste und geschah zu der Zeit, da Cyrenius Landpfleger von Syrien war.
3 And every man went to be enrolled in his city.
Und jedermann ging, daß er sich schätzen ließe, ein jeglicher in seine Stadt.
4 And Jauseph also went up from Natsrath of Galila, unto Jehud, to the city of David, which is called Beth-lechem, because he was of the house and of the family of David,
Da machte sich auch auf Joseph aus Galiläa, aus der Stadt Nazareth, in das jüdische Land zur Stadt Davids, die da heißt Bethlehem, darum daß er von dem Hause und Geschlechte Davids war,
5 with Mariam his espoused while with child, there to be enrolled.
auf daß er sich schätzen ließe mit Maria, seinem vertrauten Weibe, die ward schwanger.
6 And it was that while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should give birth:
Und als sie daselbst waren, kam die Zeit, da sie gebären sollte.
7 and she brought forth her son, the first-born, and wrapped him in bandages, and laid him in the manger; because there was no place for them where they stayed.
Und sie gebar ihren ersten Sohn und wickelte ihn in Windeln und legte ihn in eine Krippe; denn sie hatten sonst keinen Raum in der Herberge.
8 But there were shepherds in the country who were staying there, and keeping watch by night over their flocks.
Und es waren Hirten in derselben Gegend auf dem Felde bei den Hürden, die hüteten des Nachts ihre Herde.
9 And, behold, the angel of Aloha came to them, and the glory of the Lord shone upon them; and they feared with great fear.
Und siehe, des HERRN Engel trat zu ihnen, und die Klarheit des HERRN leuchtete um sie; und sie fürchteten sich sehr.
10 And the angel said to them, Fear not; for, behold, I announce to you great joy, which shall be to all people:
Und der Engel sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht! siehe, ich verkündige euch große Freude, die allem Volk widerfahren wird;
11 for there is born for you to-day the Redeemer, who is the Lord the Meshicha, in the city of David.
denn euch ist heute der Heiland geboren, welcher ist Christus, der HERR, in der Stadt Davids.
12 And this is to you the sign, You shall find the infant wrapped in bandages, and laid in a manger.
Und das habt zum Zeichen: ihr werdet finden das Kind in Windeln gewickelt und in einer Krippe liegen.
13 And instantly there were seen with the angel many hosts of the heavens, glorifying Aloha,
Und alsbald war da bei dem Engel die Menge der himmlischen Heerscharen, die lobten Gott und sprachen:
14 and saying, Glory to Aloha in the heights, and upon earth peace and good hope for the sons of men.
Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe und Frieden auf Erden und den Menschen ein Wohlgefallen.
15 And when the angels were gone from them into heaven, the shepherds spake one with another, and said, Let us go unto Beth-lechem, and see the thing which the Lord hath made known to us.
Und da die Engel von ihnen gen Himmel fuhren, sprachen die Hirten untereinander: Laßt uns nun gehen gen Bethlehem und die Geschichte sehen, die da geschehen ist, die uns der HERR kundgetan hat.
16 And they came with speed, and found Mariam, and Jauseph, and the infant who was laid in the manger;
Und sie kamen eilend und fanden beide, Maria und Joseph, dazu das Kind in der Krippe liegen.
17 and when they saw, they showed the word which had been spoken to them concerning the child.
Da sie es aber gesehen hatten, breiteten sie das Wort aus, welches zu ihnen von diesem Kinde gesagt war.
18 And all who heard wondered at those (things) which were told them by the shepherds.
Und alle, vor die es kam, wunderten sich der Rede, die ihnen die Hirten gesagt hatten.
19 But Mariam kept all these words, and compared them in her heart.
Maria aber behielt alle diese Worte und bewegte sie in ihrem Herzen.
20 And those shepherds returned, glorifying and praising Aloha for all that they had seen and heard as they had been spoken to them.
Und die Hirten kehrten wieder um, priesen und lobten Gott um alles, was sie gehört und gesehen hatten, wie denn zu ihnen gesagt war.
21 AND when the eight days completed to circumcise the child, his name was called Jeshu, for he was so called by the angel before he was conceived in the womb
Und da acht Tage um waren, daß das Kind beschnitten würde, da ward sein Name genannt Jesus, welcher genannt war von dem Engel, ehe denn er in Mutterleibe empfangen ward.
22 And when were completed, the days of their purification according to the law of Musha, they carried him up to Urishlem, to present him before the Lord:
Und da die Tage ihrer Reinigung nach dem Gesetz Mose's kamen, brachten sie ihn gen Jerusalem, auf daß sie ihn darstellten dem HERRN
23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, That every male openeth the matrix the holy to the Lord shall be called: )
(wie denn geschrieben steht in dem Gesetz des HERRN: “Allerlei männliches, das zum ersten die Mutter bricht, soll dem HERRN geheiligt heißen”)
24 and to offer the sacrifice as it is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtle-doves, or two of the young of pigeons.
und das sie gäben das Opfer, wie es gesagt ist im Gesetz des HERRN: “Ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben.”
25 But there was a certain man in Urishlem, whose name was Shemun; and this man was just and righteous, and he had waited for the consolation of Isroel, and the Spirit of Holiness was upon him.
Und siehe, ein Mensch war zu Jerusalem, mit Namen Simeon; und derselbe Mensch war fromm und gottesfürchtig und wartete auf den Trost Israels, und der heilige Geist war in ihm.
26 And it was said to him from the Spirit of Holiness, that he should not see death, until he had seen the Meshicha of the Lord.
Und ihm war eine Antwort geworden von dem heiligen Geist, er sollte den Tod nicht sehen, er hätte denn zuvor den Christus des HERRN gesehen.
27 Behold, this man came in the Spirit to the temple, and when his parents brought in Jeshu the child, to do for him as it is commanded in the law,
Und er kam aus Anregen des Geistes in den Tempel. Und da die Eltern das Kind Jesus in den Tempel brachten, daß sie für ihn täten, wie man pflegt nach dem Gesetz,
28 he took him upon his arms and blessed Aloha, and said,
da nahm er ihn auf seine Arme und lobte Gott und sprach:
29 Now dismiss thy servant, my Lord, according to thy word, in peace;
HERR, nun läßt du deinen Diener in Frieden fahren, wie du gesagt hast;
30 For lo, mine eyes have seen thy grace,
denn meine Augen haben deinen Heiland gesehen,
31 Which thou hast prepared in the face of all the nations;
welchen du bereitest hast vor allen Völkern,
32 A light for the revelation of the peoples, And the glory of thy people Isroel.
ein Licht, zu erleuchten die Heiden, und zum Preis deines Volkes Israel.
33 But Jauseph and his mother wondered at these words which were spoken concerning him.
Und sein Vater und seine Mutter wunderten sich des, das von ihm geredet ward.
34 And Shemun blessed them, and said to Mariam his mother, Behold, this child is set for the ruin and uprising of many in Isroel, for the sign of contention.
Und Simeon segnete sie und sprach zu Maria, seiner Mutter: Siehe, dieser wird gesetzt zu einem Fall und Auferstehen vieler in Israel und zu einem Zeichen, dem widersprochen wird
35 And through thine own soul shall pass a spear, that may be revealed the reasonings of the hearts of many.
(und es wird ein Schwert durch deine Seele dringen), auf daß vieler Herzen Gedanken offenbar werden.
36 NOW Chana, the prophetess, (was) the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher; she was aged also in her days, and seven years with her husband had lived from her virginity.
Und es war eine Prophetin, Hanna, eine Tochter Phanuels, vom Geschlecht Asser; die war wohl betagt und hatte gelebt sieben Jahre mit ihrem Manne nach ihrer Jungfrauschaft
37 And she was a widow as of years eighty and four, and she removed not from the temple, and with fasting and with prayer she worshipped in the day and in the night.
und war nun eine Witwe bei vierundachtzig Jahren; die kam nimmer vom Tempel, diente Gott mit Fasten und Beten Tag und Nacht.
38 And she also arose in that hour and confessed the Lord, and discoursed concerning him with all who were expecting the redemption of Urishlem.
Die trat auch hinzu zu derselben Stunde und pries den HERRN und redete von ihm zu allen, die da auf die Erlösung zu Jerusalem warteten.
39 And when they had fulfilled every thing according to the law of the Lord, they returned unto Galila, to Natsrath their city.
Und da sie alles vollendet hatten nach dem Gesetz des HERRN, kehrten sie wieder nach Galiläa zu ihrer Stadt Nazareth.
40 But the child grew, and was strengthened in spirit, and was filled with wisdom; and the grace of Aloha was upon him.
Aber das Kind wuchs und ward stark im Geist, voller Weisheit, und Gottes Gnade war bei ihm.
41 And his relatives every year went unto Urishlem at the feast of Petscha.
Und seine Eltern gingen alle Jahre gen Jerusalem auf das Osterfest.
42 AND when he was a son of twelve years, they went up, as they were used, to the festival.
Und da er zwölf Jahre alt war, gingen sie hinauf gen Jerusalem nach der Gewohnheit des Festes.
43 And when the days (were) fulfilled, they returned. But Jeshu, the child, remained in Urishlem, and Jauseph and his mother knew not.
Und da die Tage vollendet waren und sie wieder nach Hause gingen, blieb das Kind Jesus zu Jerusalem, und seine Eltern wußten's nicht.
44 For they thought that he was with the sons of the company; and when they had gone the journey of one day, they sought him with the men and with any who knew him.
Sie meinten aber, er wäre unter den Gefährten, und kamen eine Tagereise weit und suchten ihn unter den Gefreunden und Bekannten.
45 And they found him not: and they returned again to Urishlem, and sought him.
Und da sie ihn nicht fanden, gingen sie wiederum gen Jerusalem und suchten ihn.
46 And after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, hearing them and questioning them.
Und es begab sich, nach drei Tagen fanden sie ihn im Tempel sitzen mitten unter den Lehrern, wie er ihnen zuhörte und sie fragte.
47 And all of them were astonished, as they heard him, at his wisdom and at his answers.
Und alle, die ihm zuhörten, verwunderten sich seines Verstandes und seiner Antworten.
48 And when they saw him, they wondered; and his mother said to him, My son, why hast thou done with us thus? for, behold, I and thy father with great anxiety have sought thee.
Und da sie ihn sahen, entsetzten sie sich. Seine Mutter aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Sohn, warum hast du uns das getan? Siehe, dein Vater und ich haben dich mit Schmerzen gesucht.
49 He saith to them, Why have you sought me (elsewhere)? Knew you not that (in) the house of my Father it behoveth me to be?
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was ist's, daß ihr mich gesucht habt? Wisset ihr nicht, daß ich sein muß in dem, das meines Vaters ist?
50 But they did not comprehend the word that he spake to them.
Und sie verstanden das Wort nicht, das er mit ihnen redete.
51 And he went down with them, and came to Natsrath, and was subject to them. But his mother kept all these words in her heart.
Und er ging mit ihnen hinab und kam gen Nazareth und war ihnen untertan. Und seine Mutter behielt alle diese Worte in ihrem Herzen.
52 But Jeshu increased in his stature, and in his wisdom, and in favour with Aloha and men.
Und Jesus nahm zu an Weisheit, Alter und Gnade bei Gott und den Menschen.
