Luke 17
1 AND Jeshu said to his disciples, It cannot be that offences should not come, but woe to him by whom they shall come.
इसके बाद अपने शिष्यों से प्रभु येशु ने कहा, “यह असंभव है कि ठोकरें न लगें किंतु धिक्कार है उस व्यक्ति पर, जो ठोकर का कारण है.
2 It were better for him that an ass-millstone were hanged on his neck, and he be cast into the sea. Woe (to him) who shall offend one of these little ones!
इसके बजाय कि वह निर्बलों के लिए ठोकर का कारण बने, उत्तम यह होता कि उसके गले में चक्की का पाट बांधकर उसे गहरे समुद्र में फेंक दिया जाता.
3 Take heed to yourselves; if thy brother transgress, reprove him, and if he repent, forgive him.
इसलिये तुम स्वयं के प्रति सावधान रहो. “यदि तुम्हारा भाई या बहन अपराध करे तो उसे डांटो और यदि वह मन फिराए तो उसे क्षमा कर दो.
4 And if seven times in the day he shall trespass against thee, and seven times in the day return to thee and say, I repent, forgive him.
यदि वह एक दिन में तुम्हारे विरुद्ध सात बार भी अपराध करे और सातों बार तुमसे आकर कहे, ‘मुझे इसका पछतावा है,’ तो उसे क्षमा कर दो.”
5 And the apostles said unto our Lord, Increase to us faith.
प्रेरितों ने उनसे विनती की, “प्रभु, हमारे विश्वास को बढ़ा दीजिए.”
6 He saith to them, If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you should say to this mulberry tree, Be rooted up and planted in the sea, and it would obey you.
प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “यदि तुम्हारा विश्वास राई के बीज के बराबर भी हो, तो तुम इस शहतूत के पेड़ को यह आज्ञा देते, ‘उखड़ जा और जाकर समुद्र में लग जा!’ तो यह तुम्हारी आज्ञा का पालन करता.
7 Which of you, having a servant who leadeth a yoke (of oxen) or who tendeth the flock, and when he cometh from the field, saith to him at once, Pass on and recline thyself?
“क्या तुममें से कोई ऐसा है, जिसके खेत में काम करने या भेड़ों की रखवाली के लिए एक दास हो और जब वह दास खेत से लौटे तो वह दास से कहे, ‘आओ, मेरे साथ भोजन करो’?
8 but (rather) saith to him, Prepare me something that I may sup, and gird thy loins, serve me until I have eaten and drunk, and afterwards thou also shalt eat and drink.
क्या वह अपने दास को यह आज्ञा न देगा, ‘मेरे लिए भोजन तैयार करो और मुझे भोजन परोसने के लिए तैयार हो जाओ. मैं भोजन के लिए बैठ रहा हूं. तुम मेरे भोजन समाप्त करने के बाद भोजन कर लेना?’
9 Does that servant receive thanks because he hath done what was required of him? I consider not.
क्या वह अपने दास का आभार इसलिये मानेगा कि उसने उसे दिए गए आदेशों का पालन किया है? नहीं!
10 Thus also you, when you have done all those things which are required of you, have said, We are unprofitable servants, because what we were obligated to do, (that) have we done.
यही तुम सबके लिए भी सही है: जब तुम वह सब कर लो, जिसकी तुम्हें आज्ञा दी गई थी, यह कहो: ‘हम अयोग्य सेवक हैं. हमने केवल अपना कर्तव्य पूरा किया है.’”
11 AND it was that as Jeshu was going to Urishlem, he passed among the Shomroyee from Galila.
येरूशलेम नगर की ओर बढ़ते हुए प्रभु येशु शमरिया और गलील प्रदेश के बीच से होते हुए जा रहे थे.
12 And as he drew near to enter a certain village, there met him ten men, lepers, and they stood from afar,
जब वह गांव में प्रवेश कर ही रहे थे, उनकी भेंट दस कोढ़ रोगियों से हुई, जो दूर ही खड़े रहे.
13 and lifted up their voice and said, Our Lord Jeshu, have mercy upon us!
उन्होंने दूर ही से पुकारते हुए प्रभु येशु से कहा, “स्वामी! प्रभु येशु! हम पर कृपा कीजिए!”
14 And when he saw them, he said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cleansed.
उन्हें देख प्रभु येशु ने उन्हें आज्ञा दी, “जाकर पुरोहितों द्वारा स्वयं का निरीक्षण करवाओ.” जब वे जा ही रहे थे, वे शुद्ध हो गए.
15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, returned to him, and with a high voice glorified Aloha.
उनमें से एक, यह अहसास होते ही कि वह शुद्ध हो गया है, प्रभु येशु के पास लौट आया और ऊंचे शब्द में परमेश्वर की वंदना करने लगा.
16 And he fell upon his face before the feet of Jeshu, and thanked him. And, behold, this was a Shomroya.
प्रभु येशु के चरणों पर गिरकर उसने उनके प्रति धन्यवाद प्रकट किया—वह शमरियावासी था.
17 And Jeshu answered and said, Were not they who were cleansed ten? Where are the nine?
प्रभु येशु ने उससे प्रश्न किया, “क्या सभी दस शुद्ध नहीं हुए? कहां हैं वे अन्य नौ?
18 None have separated to come (and) give praise to Aloha, but this, who is from a strange people.
क्या इस परदेशी के अतिरिक्त किसी अन्य ने परमेश्वर के प्रति धन्यवाद प्रकट करना सही न समझा?”
19 And he said to him, Arise, go; thy faith hath saved thee.
तब प्रभु येशु ने उससे कहा, “उठो और जाओ. तुम्हारे विश्वास ने तुम्हें हर तरह से स्वस्थ किया है.”
20 AND when Jeshu was questioned from the Pharishee, When cometh the kingdom of Aloha? he answered and said to them, The kingdom of Aloha cometh not with watchings:
एक अवसर पर, जब फ़रीसियों ने उनसे यह जानना चाहा कि परमेश्वर के राज्य का आगमन कब होगा, तो प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “परमेश्वर के राज्य का आगमन दिखनेवाले संकेतों के साथ नहीं होगा
21 nor say they, Behold, it is here! and, Behold, it is there! for the kingdom of Aloha is within you.
और न ही इसके विषय में कोई यह कह सकता है, ‘देखो, देखो! यह है परमेश्वर का राज्य!’ क्योंकि परमेश्वर का राज्य तुम्हारे ही बीच में है.”
22 And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you will not see.
तब अपने शिष्यों से उन्मुख हो प्रभु येशु ने कहा, “वह समय आ रहा है जब तुम मनुष्य के पुत्र के राज्य का एक दिन देखने के लिए तरस जाओगे और देख न पाओगे.
23 And if they say to you, Behold here, and, Behold there, go not.
लोग आकर तुम्हें सूचना देंगे, ‘देखो, वह वहां है!’ या, ‘देखो, वह यहां है!’ यह सुनकर तुम चले न जाना और न ही उनके पीछे भागना
24 For as the lightning lighteneth from heaven, and illuminateth all beneath the heaven, so shall be the Son of man in his day.
क्योंकि मनुष्य के पुत्र का दोबारा आना बिजली कौंधने के समान होगा—आकाश में एक छोर से दूसरे छोर तक;
25 But first it will be that he shall suffer many (things), and be rejected of this generation.
किंतु उसके पूर्व उसका अनेक यातनाएं सहना और इस पीढ़ी द्वारा तिरस्कार किया जाना अवश्य है.
26 And as it was in the days of Nuch, so will it be in the days of the Son of man;
“ठीक जिस प्रकार नोहा के युग में हुआ था, मनुष्य के पुत्र के समय में भी होगा,
27 when they ate and drank and took wives and gave to husbands, until the day when Nuch entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed every one.
तब भी लोगों में उस समय तक खाना-पीना, विवाहोत्सव होते रहे, जब तक नोहा ने जहाज़ में प्रवेश न किया. तब पानी की बाढ़ आई और सब कुछ नाश हो गया.
28 So also as it was in the days of Lut; they ate and drank, and bought and sold, and planted and builded;
“ठीक यही स्थिति थी लोत के समय में—लोग उत्सव, लेनदेन, खेती और निर्माण का काम करते रहे
29 but in the day that Lut went forth from Sadum, the Lord rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
किंतु जैसे ही लोत ने सोदोम नगर से प्रस्थान किया, आकाश से आग और गंधक की बारिश हुई और सब कुछ नाश हो गया.
30 Thus will it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed.
“यही सब होगा उस दिन, जब मनुष्य का पुत्र प्रकट होगा.
31 In that day, he who is on the roof and his garments in the house, let him not go down and take them. And he who is in the field, let him not turn his back.
उस समय सही यह होगा कि वह, जो छत पर हो और उसकी वस्तुएं घर में हों, वह उन्हें लेने नीचे न उतरे. इसी प्रकार वह, जो खेत में काम कर रहा है, वह भी लौटकर न आए.
32 Remember the wife of Lut.
याद है लोत की पत्नी!
33 Whoever willeth to save his life shall lose it, and whoever is willing to lose his life shall save it.
जो अपने प्राणों को बचाना चाहता है, उन्हें खो देता है और वह, जो अपने जीवन से मोह नहीं रखता, उसे बचा पाता है.
34 I tell you, that in that night two shall be in one bed; the one shall be taken and the other left.
उस रात एक बिछौने पर सोए हुए दो व्यक्तियों में से एक उठा लिया जाएगा, दूसरा छोड़ दिया जाएगा.
35 Two shall be grinding together, one shall be taken and the other left.
दो स्त्रियां एक साथ अनाज पीस रही होंगी, एक उठा ली जाएगी, दूसरी छोड़ दी जाएगी. [
36 Two shall be in the field, one shall be taken and the other left.
खेत में दो व्यक्ति काम कर रहे होंगे एक उठा लिया जाएगा, दूसरा छोड़ दिया जाएगा.]”
37 They answered and said to him, Where, our Lord? He saith to them, Where the body is, there will be assembled the eagles.
उन्होंने प्रभु येशु से प्रश्न किया, “कब प्रभु?” प्रभु येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “गिद्ध वहीं इकट्ठा होंगे, जहां शव होता है.”
