Luke 16
1 AND he spake a parable to his disciples: There was a certain rich man who had a house-chief; and he was accused to him that his substance he wasted.
ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇਭ੍ਯੋਨ੍ਯਾਮੇਕਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿਦ੍ ਧਨਵਤੋ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਸ੍ਯ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ੇ ਸਮ੍ਪੱਤੇਰਪਵ੍ਯਯੇ(ਅ)ਪਵਾਦਿਤੇ ਸਤਿ
2 And his lord called him, and said to him, What is this that I hear of thee? give me the account of thy house-headship; for thou canst no longer be house-chief unto me.
ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਸ੍ਤਮ੍ ਆਹੂਯ ਜਗਾਦ, ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਯਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁʼਣੋਮਿ ਸਾ ਕੀਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੀ? ਤ੍ਵੰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ਕਰ੍ੰਮਣੋ ਗਣਨਾਂ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ਪਦੇ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਨ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਸਿ|
3 And the house-chief said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the house-headship. I cannot dig, and to beg I am ashamed.
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ੋ ਮਨਸਾ ਚਿਨ੍ਤਯਾਮਾਸ, ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰ੍ਯਦਿ ਮਾਂ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ਪਦਾਦ੍ ਭ੍ਰੰਸ਼ਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕਿੰ ਕਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ? ਮ੍ਰੁʼਦੰ ਖਨਿਤੁੰ ਮਮ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਤਿ ਰ੍ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ ਭਿਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੁਞ੍ਚ ਲੱਜਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ|
4 I know what I will do, that when I shall be put out of the house-headship, they may receive me into their houses.
ਅਤਏਵ ਮਯਿ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ਪਦਾਤ੍ ਚ੍ਯੁਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਯਥਾ ਲੋਕਾ ਮਹ੍ਯਮ੍ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਯੰ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਯਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੰਮ ਮਯਾ ਕਰਣੀਯੰ ਤਨ੍ ਨਿਰ੍ਣੀਯਤੇ|
5 And he called one by one from the debtors of his lord, and said to the first, How much owest thou to my lord?
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਸ ਸ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਭੋਰੇਕੈਕਮ੍ ਅਧਮਰ੍ਣਮ੍ ਆਹੂਯ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੰ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛ, ਤ੍ਵੱਤੋ ਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਣਾ ਕਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਮ੍?
6 And he said to him, An hundred metres of oil. He saith to him, Take thy book, and sit down quickly, and write fifty metres.
ਤਤਃ ਸ ਉਵਾਚ, ਏਕਸ਼ਤਾਢਕਤੈਲਾਨਿ; ਤਦਾ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਧੀਸ਼ਃ ਪ੍ਰੋਵਾਚ, ਤਵ ਪਤ੍ਰਮਾਨੀਯ ਸ਼ੀਘ੍ਰਮੁਪਵਿਸ਼੍ਯ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪਞ੍ਚਾਸ਼ਤੰ ਲਿਖ|
7 And he said to another, And thou, how much owest thou to my lord? He saith to him, An hundred kureen of wheat. He saith to him, Take thy book, and sit down, write eighty kureen.
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦਨ੍ਯਮੇਕੰ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛ, ਤ੍ਵੱਤੋ ਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਣਾ ਕਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਮ੍? ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਾਦੀਦ੍ ਏਕਸ਼ਤਾਢਕਗੋਧੂਮਾਃ; ਤਦਾ ਸ ਕਥਯਾਮਾਸ, ਤਵ ਪਤ੍ਰਮਾਨੀਯ ਅਸ਼ੀਤਿੰ ਲਿਖ|
8 And praised our Lord the house-chief who was unjust, in that he had done wisely; for the sons of this world are wiser than the sons of light in this their generation. (aiōn g165)
ਤੇਨੈਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਸ੍ਤਮਯਥਾਰ੍ਥਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਮ੍ ਅਧੀਸ਼ੰ ਤਦ੍ਬੁੱਧਿਨੈਪੁਣ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਸ਼ੰਸ; ਇੱਥੰ ਦੀਪ੍ਤਿਰੂਪਸਨ੍ਤਾਨੇਭ੍ਯ ਏਤਤ੍ਸੰਸਾਰਸ੍ਯ ਸਨ੍ਤਾਨਾ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨਕਾਲੇ(ਅ)ਧਿਕਬੁੱਧਿਮਨ੍ਤੋ ਭਵਨ੍ਤਿ| (aiōn g165)
9 Also I say unto you, Make to you friends from this wealth of unrighteousness, that, when perfect, they may receive you into the tabernacles of eternity. (aiōnios g166)
ਅਤੋ ਵਦਾਮਿ ਯੂਯਮਪ੍ਯਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੇਨ ਧਨੇਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਲਭਧ੍ਵੰ ਤਤੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਸੁ ਪਦਭ੍ਰਸ਼਼੍ਟੇਸ਼਼੍ਵਪਿ ਤਾਨਿ ਚਿਰਕਾਲਮ੍ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਯੰ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ| (aiōnios g166)
10 Whoever in the little is faithful, in the great also is faithful; and he who in the little is unjust, in the great also is unjust.
ਯਃ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯੋ ਭਵਤਿ ਸ ਮਹਤਿ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇਪਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯੋ ਭਵਤਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯਃ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇ(ਅ)ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯੋ ਭਵਤਿ ਸ ਮਹਤਿ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯੇਪ੍ਯਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯੋ ਭਵਤਿ|
11 If, therefore, in the wealth of unrighteousness you have not been faithful, the truth to you who will confide?
ਅਤਏਵ ਅਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੇਨ ਧਨੇਨ ਯਦਿ ਯੂਯਮਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯਾ ਜਾਤਾਸ੍ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਧਨੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਕਰੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਕਃ ਸਮਰ੍ਪਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
12 And if in that which is not yours you are not found faithful, your own who will give to you?
ਯਦਿ ਚ ਪਰਧਨੇਨ ਯੂਯਮ੍ ਅਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸ੍ਯਾ ਭਵਥ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸ੍ਵਕੀਯਧਨੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਭ੍ਯੰ ਕੋ ਦਾਸ੍ਯਤਿ?
13 No man can serve two lords; for either the one he will hate, and the other he will love; or the one he will honour, and the other despise. You cannot serve Aloha and wealth.
ਕੋਪਿ ਦਾਸ ਉਭੌ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੇਵਿਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੋਤਿ, ਯਤ ਏਕਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰੀਯਮਾਣੋ(ਅ)ਨ੍ਯਸ੍ਮਿੰਨਪ੍ਰੀਯਤੇ ਯਦ੍ਵਾ ਏਕੰ ਜਨੰ ਸਮਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਤਦਨ੍ਯੰ ਤੁੱਛੀਕਰੋਤਿ ਤਦ੍ਵਦ੍ ਯੂਯਮਪਿ ਧਨੇਸ਼੍ਵਰੌ ਸੇਵਿਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਥ|
14 But the Pharishee, when they heard all these things, because they loved money, derided him.
ਤਦੈਤਾਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਃ ਕਥਾਃ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਲੋਭਿਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਨਸ੍ਤਮੁਪਜਹਸੁਃ|
15 But Jeshu said to them, You are they who justify yourselves before the sons of men; but Aloha knoweth your hearts. For, what is exalted among men, before Aloha is abominable.
ਤਤਃ ਸ ਉਵਾਚ, ਯੂਯੰ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਣਾਂ ਨਿਕਟੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ ਨਿਰ੍ਦੋਸ਼਼ਾਨ੍ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯਥ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਃਕਰਣਾਨੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੋ ਜਾਨਾਤਿ, ਯਤ੍ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਣਾਮ੍ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸ੍ਯੰ ਤਦ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਘ੍ਰੁʼਣ੍ਯੰ|
16 The law and the prophets were until Juchanon; from thenceforth the kingdom of Aloha is preached, and every one presseth to enter.
ਯੋਹਨ ਆਗਮਨਪਰ੍ੱਯਨਤੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨਾਂ ਲੇਖਨਾਨਿ ਚਾਸਨ੍ ਤਤਃ ਪ੍ਰਭ੍ਰੁʼਤਿ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਰਾਜ੍ਯਸ੍ਯ ਸੁਸੰਵਾਦਃ ਪ੍ਰਚਰਤਿ, ਏਕੈਕੋ ਲੋਕਸ੍ਤਨ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੰ ਯਤ੍ਨੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਸ਼ਤਿ ਚ|
17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than one letter from the law to pass away.
ਵਰੰ ਨਭਸਃ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਥਿਵ੍ਯਾਸ਼੍ਚ ਲੋਪੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਤਥਾਪਿ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾਯਾ ਏਕਬਿਨ੍ਦੋਰਪਿ ਲੋਪੋ ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
18 Every one who looseth his wife, and taketh another, committeth adultery; and every one who taketh the dismissed, committeth adultery.
ਯਃ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਸ੍ਵੀਯਾਂ ਭਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਂ ਵਿਹਾਯ ਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਿਯਮਨ੍ਯਾਂ ਵਿਵਹਤਿ ਸ ਪਰਦਾਰਾਨ੍ ਗੱਛਤਿ, ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਤਾ ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਤਾਂ ਨਾਰੀਂ ਵਿਵਹਤਿ ਸੋਪਿ ਪਰਦਾਰਾਨ ਗੱਛਤਿ|
19 NOW there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in byssos and purple, and every day feasted gaily.
ਏਕੋ ਧਨੀ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਃ ਸ਼ੁਕ੍ਲਾਨਿ ਸੂਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਣਿ ਵਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਪਰ੍ੱਯਦਧਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਦਿਨੰ ਪਰਿਤੋਸ਼਼ਰੂਪੇਣਾਭੁੰਕ੍ਤਾਪਿਵੱਚ|
20 And there was a certain poor man, whose name was Loózar; and he lay at the gate of him who was rich, bruised with wounds,
ਸਰ੍ੱਵਾਙ੍ਗੇ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤਯੁਕ੍ਤ ਇਲਿਯਾਸਰਨਾਮਾ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਯ ਧਨਵਤੋ ਭੋਜਨਪਾਤ੍ਰਾਤ੍ ਪਤਿਤਮ੍ ਉੱਛਿਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਭੋਕ੍ਤੁੰ ਵਾਞ੍ਛਨ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਪਤਿਤ੍ਵਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ੍;
21 and desired to fill his belly with the crumbs which fell from the table of that rich. And also the dogs came and licked his wounds.
ਅਥ ਸ਼੍ਵਾਨ ਆਗਤ੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਤਾਨ੍ਯਲਿਹਨ੍|
22 Now that poor man died, and angels conducted him to the bosom of Abraham: but that rich man also died, and was buried.
ਕਿਯਤ੍ਕਾਲਾਤ੍ਪਰੰ ਸ ਦਰਿਦ੍ਰਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਜਹੌ; ਤਤਃ ਸ੍ਵਰ੍ਗੀਯਦੂਤਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਨੀਤ੍ਵਾ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮਃ ਕ੍ਰੋਡ ਉਪਵੇਸ਼ਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ|
23 And, tormented in shiul, he lifted up his eyes afar, and seeth Abraham, and Loózar in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਸ ਧਨਵਾਨਪਿ ਮਮਾਰ, ਤੰ ਸ਼੍ਮਸ਼ਾਨੇ ਸ੍ਥਾਪਯਾਮਾਸੁਸ਼੍ਚ; ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪਰਲੋਕੇ ਸ ਵੇਦਨਾਕੁਲਃ ਸਨ੍ ਊਰ੍ੱਧ੍ਵਾਂ ਨਿਰੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯ ਬਹੁਦੂਰਾਦ੍ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮੰ ਤਤ੍ਕ੍ਰੋਡ ਇਲਿਯਾਸਰਞ੍ਚ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਰੁਵੰਨੁਵਾਚ; (Hadēs g86)
24 And he cried with a high voice, and said, My father Abraham, have compassion upon me, and send Loózar, that he may dip the top of his finger in waters, and moisten my tongue; for, behold, I am tormented in this flame.
ਹੇ ਪਿਤਰ੍ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮ੍ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਯ ਅਙ੍ਗੁਲ੍ਯਗ੍ਰਭਾਗੰ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਮਮ ਜਿਹ੍ਵਾਂ ਸ਼ੀਤਲਾਂ ਕਰ੍ੱਤੁਮ੍ ਇਲਿਯਾਸਰੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਯ, ਯਤੋ ਵਹ੍ਨਿਸ਼ਿਖਾਤੋਹੰ ਵ੍ਯਥਿਤੋਸ੍ਮਿ|
25 Abraham said to him, My son, remember that thou didst receive thy goods in thy life, and Loózar his evils, and now, behold, he reposeth here, and thou art tormented.
ਤਦਾ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮ੍ ਬਭਾਸ਼਼ੇ, ਹੇ ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਜੀਵਨ੍ ਸਮ੍ਪਦੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍ ਇਲਿਯਾਸਰਸ੍ਤੁ ਵਿਪਦੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍ ਏਤਤ੍ ਸ੍ਮਰ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸਮ੍ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸੁਖੰ ਤਵ ਚ ਦੁਃਖੰ ਭਵਤਿ|
26 And with all these, there is a great void set between us and you, that they who would pass from hence unto you are not able, nor they also who would pass from thence to us.
ਅਪਰਮਪਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕਞ੍ਚ ਸ੍ਥਾਨਯੋ ਰ੍ਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਮਹਦ੍ਵਿੱਛੇਦੋ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਤਿ ਤਤ ਏਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨਸ੍ਯ ਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤਤ੍ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਯਾਤੁੰ ਯਦ੍ਵਾ ਤਤ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨਸ੍ਯ ਲੋਕਾ ਏਤਤ੍ ਸ੍ਥਾਨਮਾਯਾਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੁਵਨ੍ਤਿ|
27 He said to him, I pray thee, then, my father, to send him unto my father's house:
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਉਕ੍ਤਵਾਨ੍, ਹੇ ਪਿਤਸ੍ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਨਿਵੇਦਯਾਮਿ ਮਮ ਪਿਤੁ ਰ੍ਗੇਹੇ ਯੇ ਮਮ ਪਞ੍ਚ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਰਃ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ
28 for five brethren have I; let him go and testify unto them, that they also come not to this place of torment.
ਤੇ ਯਥੈਤਦ੍ ਯਾਤਨਾਸ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਨਾਯਾਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਥਾ ਮਨ੍ਤ੍ਰਣਾਂ ਦਾਤੁੰ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਇਲਿਯਾਸਰੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਯ|
29 Abraham said to him, They have Musha and the prophets, let them hear them.
ਤਤ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮ੍ ਉਵਾਚ, ਮੂਸਾਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਪੁਸ੍ਤਕਾਨਿ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਨਿਕਟੇ ਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤੇ ਤਦ੍ਵਚਨਾਨਿ ਮਨ੍ਯਨ੍ਤਾਂ|
30 But he said to him, No, my father Abraham, but if one from the dead shall go unto them, they repent.
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਨਿਵੇਦਯਾਮਾਸ, ਹੇ ਪਿਤਰ੍ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮ੍ ਨ ਤਥਾ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯਦਿ ਮ੍ਰੁʼਤਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਤ੍ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਯਾਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੇ ਮਨਾਂਸਿ ਵ੍ਯਾਘੋਟਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ|
31 Abraham saith to him, If Musha and the prophets they hear not, neither, if one from the dead should rise, would they believe him.
ਤਤ ਇਬ੍ਰਾਹੀਮ੍ ਜਗਾਦ, ਤੇ ਯਦਿ ਮੂਸਾਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨਾਞ੍ਚ ਵਚਨਾਨਿ ਨ ਮਨ੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਮ੍ਰੁʼਤਲੋਕਾਨਾਂ ਕਸ੍ਮਿੰਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਉੱਥਿਤੇਪਿ ਤੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਮਨ੍ਤ੍ਰਣਾਂ ਨ ਮੰਸ੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ|
