Proverbs 22
1 to choose name from riches many from silver: money and from gold favor pleasant
| נִבְחָר שֵׁם מֵעֹשֶׁר רָב מִכֶּסֶף וּמִזָּהָב חֵן טֽוֹב׃ |
2 rich and be poor to meet to make all their LORD
| עָשִׁיר וָרָשׁ נִפְגָּשׁוּ עֹשֵׂה כֻלָּם יְהוָֽה׃ |
3 prudent to see: see distress: harm (and to hide *Qk) and simple to pass and to fine
| עָרוּם ׀ רָאָה רָעָה ויסתר וְנִסְתָּר וּפְתָיִים עָבְרוּ וְֽנֶעֱנָֽשׁוּ׃ |
4 consequence humility fear LORD riches and glory and life
| עֵקֶב עֲנָוָה יִרְאַת יְהוָה עֹשֶׁר וְכָבוֹד וְחַיִּֽים׃ |
5 thorn snare in/on/with way: conduct twisted to keep: guard soul his to remove from them
| צִנִּים פַּחִים בְּדֶרֶךְ עִקֵּשׁ שׁוֹמֵר נַפְשׁוֹ יִרְחַק מֵהֶֽם׃ |
6 to dedicate to/for youth upon lip: word way: conduct his also for be old not to turn aside: depart from her
| חֲנֹךְ לַנַּעַר עַל־פִּי דַרְכּוֹ גַּם כִּֽי־יַזְקִין לֹֽא־יָסוּר מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ |
7 rich in/on/with be poor to rule and servant/slave to borrow to/for man to borrow
| עָשִׁיר בְּרָשִׁים יִמְשׁוֹל וְעֶבֶד לֹוֶה לְאִישׁ מַלְוֶֽה׃ |
8 to sow injustice (to reap *Qk) evil: trouble and tribe: staff fury his to end: expend
| זוֹרֵעַ עַוְלָה יקצור־יִקְצָר־אָוֶן וְשֵׁבֶט עֶבְרָתוֹ יִכְלֶֽה׃ |
9 pleasant eye he/she/it to bless for to give: give from food: bread his to/for poor
| טֽוֹב־עַיִן הוּא יְבֹרָךְ כִּֽי־נָתַן מִלַּחְמוֹ לַדָּֽל׃ |
10 to drive out: drive out to mock and to come out: come strife and to cease judgment and dishonor
| גָּרֵֽשׁ לֵץ וְיֵצֵא מָדוֹן וְיִשְׁבֹּת דִּין וְקָלֽוֹן׃ |
11 to love: lover (pure *Qk) heart favor lip: words his neighbor his king
| אֹהֵב טהור־טְהָר־לֵב חֵן שְׂפָתָיו רֵעֵהוּ מֶֽלֶךְ׃ |
12 eye LORD to watch knowledge and to pervert word to act treacherously
| עֵינֵי יְהוָה נָצְרוּ דָעַת וַיְסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי בֹגֵֽד׃ |
13 to say sluggish lion in/on/with outside in/on/with midst street/plaza to murder
| אָמַר עָצֵל אֲרִי בַחוּץ בְּתוֹךְ רְחֹבוֹת אֵֽרָצֵֽחַ׃ |
14 pit deep lip be a stranger be indignant LORD (to fall: fall *Qk) there
| שׁוּחָה עֲמֻקָּה פִּי זָרוֹת זְעוּם יְהוָה יפול־יִפָּל־שָֽׁם׃ |
15 folly to conspire in/on/with heart youth tribe: staff discipline to remove her from him
| אִוֶּלֶת קְשׁוּרָה בְלֶב־נָעַר שֵׁבֶט מוּסָר יַרְחִיקֶנָּה מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ |
16 to oppress poor to/for to multiply to/for him to give: give to/for rich surely to/for need
| עֹשֵֽׁק דָּל לְהַרְבּוֹת לוֹ נֹתֵן לְעָשִׁיר אַךְ־לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃ |
17 to stretch ear your and to hear: hear word wise and heart your to set: make to/for knowledge my
| הַט אָזְנְךָ וּשְׁמַע דִּבְרֵי חֲכָמִים וְלִבְּךָ תָּשִׁית לְדַעְתִּֽי׃ |
18 for pleasant for to keep: guard them in/on/with belly: body your to establish: prepare together upon lips your
| כִּֽי־נָעִים כִּֽי־תִשְׁמְרֵם בְּבִטְנֶךָ יִכֹּנוּ יַחְדָּו עַל־שְׂפָתֶֽיךָ׃ |
19 to/for to be in/on/with LORD confidence your to know you [the] day also you(m. s.)
| לִהְיוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְטַחֶךָ הוֹדַעְתִּיךָ הַיּוֹם אַף־אָֽתָּה׃ |
20 not to write to/for you (officer *QK) in/on/with counsel and knowledge
| הֲלֹא כָתַבְתִּי לְךָ שלשום שָׁלִישִׁים בְּמוֹעֵצֹת וָדָֽעַת׃ |
21 to/for to know you truth word truth: true to/for to return: reply word truth: true to/for to send: depart you
| לְהוֹדִֽיעֲךָ קֹשְׁטְ אִמְרֵי אֱמֶת לְהָשִׁיב אֲמָרִים אֱמֶת לְשֹׁלְחֶֽיךָ׃ |
22 not to plunder poor for poor he/she/it and not to crush afflicted in/on/with gate
| אַֽל־תִּגְזָל־דָּל כִּי דַל־הוּא וְאַל־תְּדַכֵּא עָנִי בַשָּֽׁעַר׃ |
23 for LORD to contend strife their and to rob [obj] to rob them soul: life
| כִּֽי־יְהוָה יָרִיב רִיבָם וְקָבַע אֶת־קֹבְעֵיהֶם נָֽפֶשׁ׃ |
24 not to accompany with master: men face: anger and with man rage not to come (in): come
| אַל־תִּתְרַע אֶת־בַּעַל אָף וְאֶת־אִישׁ חֵמוֹת לֹא תָבֽוֹא׃ |
25 lest to teach/learn (way his *QK) and to take: recieve snare to/for soul: myself your
| פֶּן־תֶּאֱלַף ארחתו אֹֽרְחֹתָיו וְלָקַחְתָּ מוֹקֵשׁ לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ |
26 not to be in/on/with to blow palm in/on/with to pledge loan
| אַל־תְּהִי בְתֹֽקְעֵי־כָף בַּעֹרְבִים מַשָּׁאֽוֹת׃ |
27 if nothing to/for you to/for to complete to/for what? to take: take bed your from underneath: under you
| אִם־אֵֽין־לְךָ לְשַׁלֵּם לָמָּה יִקַּח מִשְׁכָּבְךָ מִתַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃ |
28 not to remove border: boundary forever: antiquity which to make father your
| אַל־תַּסֵּג גְּבוּל עוֹלָם אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ אֲבוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ |
29 to see man quick in/on/with work his to/for face: before king to stand not to stand to/for face: before obscure
| חָזִיתָ אִישׁ ׀ מָהִיר בִּמְלַאכְתּוֹ לִֽפְנֵֽי־מְלָכִים יִתְיַצָּב בַּל־יִתְיַצֵּב לִפְנֵי חֲשֻׁכִּֽים׃ |
