Proverbs 20
1 to mock [the] wine to roar strong drink and all to wander in/on/with him not be wise
| לֵ֣ץ הַ֭יַּין הֹמֶ֣ה שֵׁכָ֑ר וְכָל־שֹׁ֥גֶה בֹּ֝֗ו לֹ֣א יֶחְכָּֽם׃ |
2 roaring like/as lion terror king be angry him to sin soul: life his
| נַ֣הַם כַּ֭כְּפִיר אֵ֣ימַת מֶ֑לֶךְ מִ֝תְעַבְּרֹ֗ו חֹוטֵ֥א נַפְשֹֽׁו׃ |
3 glory to/for man cessation from strife and all fool(ish) to quarrel
| כָּבֹ֣וד לָ֭אִישׁ שֶׁ֣בֶת מֵרִ֑יב וְכָל־אֱ֝וִ֗יל יִתְגַּלָּֽע׃ |
4 from autumn sluggish not to plow/plot (and to ask *QK) in/on/with harvest and nothing
| מֵ֭חֹרֶף עָצֵ֣ל לֹא־יַחֲרֹ֑שׁ יִשְׁאַל (וְשָׁאַ֖ל) בַּקָּצִ֣יר וָאָֽיִן׃ |
5 water deep counsel in/on/with heart man and man understanding to draw (up/out) her
| מַ֣יִם עֲ֭מֻקִּים עֵצָ֣ה בְלֶב־אִ֑ישׁ וְאִ֖ישׁ תְּבוּנָ֣ה יִדְלֶֽנָּה׃ |
6 abundance man to call: call out man: anyone kindness his and man faithful who? to find
| רָב־אָדָ֗ם יִ֭קְרָא אִ֣ישׁ חַסְדֹּ֑ו וְאִ֥ישׁ אֱ֝מוּנִ֗ים מִ֣י יִמְצָֽא׃ |
7 to go: walk in/on/with integrity his righteous blessed son: child his after him
| מִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ בְּתֻמֹּ֣ו צַדִּ֑יק אַשְׁרֵ֖י בָנָ֣יו אַחֲרָֽיו׃ |
8 king to dwell upon throne judgment to scatter in/on/with eye his all bad: evil
| מֶ֗לֶךְ יֹושֵׁ֥ב עַל־כִּסֵּא־דִ֑ין מְזָרֶ֖ה בְעֵינָ֣יו כָּל־רָֽע׃ |
9 who? to say to clean heart my be pure from sin my
| מִֽי־יֹ֭אמַר זִכִּ֣יתִי לִבִּ֑י טָ֝הַ֗רְתִּי מֵחַטָּאתִֽי׃ |
10 stone: weight and stone: weight ephah and ephah abomination LORD also two their
| אֶ֣בֶן וָ֭אֶבֶן אֵיפָ֣ה וְאֵיפָ֑ה תֹּועֲבַ֥ת יְ֝הוָ֗ה גַּם־שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ |
11 also in/on/with deed his to recognize youth if pure and if upright work his
| גַּ֣ם בְּ֭מַעֲלָלָיו יִתְנַכֶּר־נָ֑עַר אִם־זַ֖ךְ וְאִם־יָשָׁ֣ר פָּעֳלֹֽו׃ |
12 ear to hear: hear and eye to see: see LORD to make also two their
| אֹ֣זֶן שֹׁ֭מַעַת וְעַ֣יִן רֹאָ֑ה יְ֝הוָ֗ה עָשָׂ֥ה גַם־שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ |
13 not to love: lover sleep lest to possess: poor to open eye your to satisfy food: bread
| אַל־תֶּֽאֱהַ֣ב שֵׁ֭נָה פֶּן־תִּוָּרֵ֑שׁ פְּקַ֖ח עֵינֶ֣יךָ שְֽׂבַֽע־לָֽחֶם׃ |
14 bad: harmful bad: harmful to say [the] to buy and be gone to/for him then to boast: boast
| רַ֣ע רַ֭ע יֹאמַ֣ר הַקֹּונֶ֑ה וְאֹזֵ֥ל לֹ֝֗ו אָ֣ז יִתְהַלָּֽל׃ |
15 there gold and abundance jewel and article/utensil preciousness lips knowledge
| יֵ֣שׁ זָ֭הָב וְרָב־פְּנִינִ֑ים וּכְלִ֥י יְ֝קָ֗ר שִׂפְתֵי־דָֽעַת׃ |
16 to take: take garment his for to pledge be a stranger and about/through/for (foreign *QK) to pledge him
| לְֽקַח־בִּ֭גְדֹו כִּי־עָ֣רַב זָ֑ר וּבְעַ֖ד נָכְרִים (נָכְרִיָּ֣ה) חַבְלֵֽהוּ׃ |
17 sweet to/for man food: bread deception and after to fill lip his gravel
| עָרֵ֣ב לָ֭אִישׁ לֶ֣חֶם שָׁ֑קֶר וְ֝אַחַ֗ר יִמָּֽלֵא־פִ֥יהוּ חָצָֽץ׃ |
18 plot in/on/with counsel to establish: establish and in/on/with counsel to make battle
| מַ֭חֲשָׁבֹות בְּעֵצָ֣ה תִכֹּ֑ון וּ֝בְתַחְבֻּלֹ֗ות עֲשֵׂ֣ה מִלְחָמָֽה׃ |
19 to reveal: reveal counsel to go: went slander and to/for to open wide lip: words his not to pledge
| גֹּֽולֶה־סֹּ֭וד הֹולֵ֣ךְ רָכִ֑יל וּלְפֹתֶ֥ה שְׂ֝פָתָ֗יו לֹ֣א תִתְעָרָֽב׃ |
20 to lighten father his and mother his to put out lamp his (in/on/with pupil *QK) darkness
| מְ֭קַלֵּל אָבִ֣יו וְאִמֹּ֑ו יִֽדְעַ֥ךְ נֵ֝רֹ֗ו בְּאִישֹׁון (בֶּאֱשׁ֥וּן) חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ |
21 inheritance (to dismay *QK) in/on/with first and end her not to bless
| נַ֭חֲלָה מְבֻחֶלֶת (מְבֹהֶ֣לֶת) בָּרִאשֹׁנָ֑ה וְ֝אַחֲרִיתָ֗הּ לֹ֣א תְבֹרָֽךְ׃ |
22 not to say to complete bad: evil to await to/for LORD and to save to/for you
| אַל־תֹּאמַ֥ר אֲשַׁלְּמָה־רָ֑ע קַוֵּ֥ה לַֽ֝יהוָ֗ה וְיֹ֣שַֽׁע לָֽךְ׃ |
23 abomination LORD stone: weight and stone: weight and balance deceit not pleasant
| תֹּועֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה אֶ֣בֶן וָאָ֑בֶן וּמֹאזְנֵ֖י מִרְמָ֣ה לֹא־טֹֽוב׃ |
24 from LORD step great man and man what? to understand way: conduct his
| מֵיְהוָ֥ה מִצְעֲדֵי־גָ֑בֶר וְ֝אָדָ֗ם מַה־יָּבִ֥ין דַּרְכֹּֽו׃ |
25 snare man to blurt holiness and after vow to/for to enquire
| מֹוקֵ֣שׁ אָ֭דָם יָ֣לַע קֹ֑דֶשׁ וְאַחַ֖ר נְדָרִ֣ים לְבַקֵּֽר׃ |
26 to scatter wicked king wise and to return: return upon them wheel
| מְזָרֶ֣ה רְ֭שָׁעִים מֶ֣לֶךְ חָכָ֑ם וַיָּ֖שֶׁב עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם אֹופָֽן׃ |
27 lamp LORD breath man to search all chamber belly: abdomen
| נֵ֣ר יְ֭הוָה נִשְׁמַ֣ת אָדָ֑ם חֹ֝פֵ֗שׂ כָּל־חַדְרֵי־בָֽטֶן׃ |
28 kindness and truth: faithful to watch king and to support in/on/with kindness throne his
| חֶ֣סֶד וֶ֭אֱמֶת יִצְּרוּ־מֶ֑לֶךְ וְסָעַ֖ד בַּחֶ֣סֶד כִּסְאֹֽו׃ |
29 beauty youth strength their and glory old greyheaded
| תִּפְאֶ֣רֶת בַּחוּרִ֣ים כֹּחָ֑ם וַהֲדַ֖ר זְקֵנִ֣ים שֵׂיבָֽה׃ |
30 wound wound (cosmetic *QK) in/on/with bad: evil and wound chamber belly: abdomen
| חַבֻּרֹ֣ות פֶּ֭צַע תַּמְרִיק (תַּמְר֣וּק) בְּרָ֑ע וּ֝מַכֹּ֗ות חַדְרֵי־בָֽטֶן׃ |
