Numbers 22

Poi gli Israeliti partirono e si accamparono nelle steppe di Moab, oltre il Giordano verso Gerico.
2 and to see: see Balak son: child Zippor [obj] all which to make: do Israel to/for Amorite
Or Balak, figlio di Zippor, vide quanto Israele aveva fatto agli Amorrei
3 and to dread Moab from face: because [the] people much for many he/she/it and to loathe Moab from face: because son: descendant/people Israel
e Moab ebbe grande paura di questo popolo, che era così numeroso; Moab fu preso da spavento di fronte agli Israeliti.
4 and to say Moab to(wards) old: elder Midian now to lick [the] assembly [obj] all around us like/as to lick [the] cattle [obj] green [the] land: country and Balak son: child Zippor king to/for Moab in/on/with time [the] he/she/it
Quindi Moab disse agli anziani di Madian: «Ora questa moltitudine divorerà quanto è intorno a noi, come il bue divora l'erba dei campi». Balak, figlio di Zippor, era in quel tempo re di Moab.

Egli mandò messaggeri a Balaam, figlio di Beor, a Petor che sta sul fiume, nel paese dei figli di Amau, per chiamarlo e dirgli: «Ecco un popolo è uscito dall'Egitto; ricopre la terra e si è stabilito di fronte a me;

ora dunque, vieni e maledicimi questo popolo; poiché è troppo potente per me; forse così riusciremo a sconfiggerlo e potrò scacciarlo dal paese; so infatti che chi tu benedici è benedetto e chi tu maledici è maledetto».

Gli anziani di Moab e gli anziani di Madian partirono portando in mano il salario dell'indovino; arrivati da Balaam, gli riferirono le parole di Balak.

Balaam disse loro: «Alloggiate qui stanotte e vi darò la risposta secondo quanto mi dirà il Signore». I capi di Moab si fermarono da Balaam.

Balaam rispose a Dio: «Balak, figlio di Zippor, re di Moab, mi ha mandato a dire:

Ecco, il popolo che è uscito dall'Egitto, ricopre la terra; ora vieni a maledirmelo; forse riuscirò così a batterlo e potrò scacciarlo».
12 and to say God to(wards) Balaam not to go: went with them not to curse [obj] [the] people for to bless he/she/it
Dio disse a Balaam: «Tu non andrai con loro, non maledirai quel popolo, perché esso è benedetto».
13 and to arise: rise Balaam in/on/with morning and to say to(wards) ruler Balak to go: went to(wards) land: country/planet your for to refuse LORD to/for to give: allow me to/for to go: went with you
Balaam si alzò la mattina e disse ai capi di Balak: «Andatevene al vostro paese, perché il Signore si è rifiutato di lasciarmi venire con voi».
14 and to arise: rise ruler Moab and to come (in): come to(wards) Balak and to say to refuse Balaam to go: come with us
I capi di Moab si alzarono, tornarono da Balak e dissero: «Balaam si è rifiutato di venire con noi».
15 and to add: again still Balak to send: depart ruler many and to honor: honour from these
Allora Balak mandò di nuovo i capi, in maggior numero e più influenti di quelli di prima.
16 and to come (in): come to(wards) Balaam and to say to/for him thus to say Balak son: child Zippor not please to withhold from to go: come to(wards) me
Vennero da Balaam e gli dissero: «Così dice Balak, figlio di Zippor: Nulla ti trattenga dal venire da me;

perché io ti colmerò di onori e farò quanto mi dirai; vieni dunque e maledicimi questo popolo».
18 and to answer Balaam and to say to(wards) servant/slave Balak if to give: give to/for me Balak fullness house: home his silver: money and gold not be able to/for to pass: trespass [obj] lip: word LORD God my to/for to make: do small or great: large
Ma Balaam rispose e disse ai ministri di Balak: «Quand'anche Balak mi desse la sua casa piena d'argento e oro, non potrei trasgredire l'ordine del Signore, mio Dio, per fare cosa piccola o grande.
19 and now to dwell please in/on/with this also you(m. p.) [the] night and to know what? to add LORD to speak: speak with me
Nondimeno, trattenetevi qui anche voi stanotte, perché io sappia ciò che il Signore mi dirà ancora».
20 and to come (in): come God to(wards) Balaam night and to say to/for him if to/for to call: call to to/for you to come (in): come [the] human to arise: rise to go: went with them and surely [obj] [the] word which to speak: speak to(wards) you [obj] him to make: do
Dio venne la notte a Balaam e gli disse: «Se quegli uomini sono venuti a chiamarti, alzati e và con loro; ma farai ciò che io ti dirò».
21 and to arise: rise Balaam in/on/with morning and to saddle/tie [obj] she-ass his and to go: went with ruler Moab
Balaam quindi si alzò la mattina, sellò l'asina e se ne andò con i capi di Moab.

L'asina, vedendo l'angelo del Signore che stava sulla strada con la spada sguainata in mano, deviò dalla strada e cominciò ad andare per i campi. Balaam percosse l'asina per rimetterla sulla strada.
24 and to stand: stand messenger: angel LORD in/on/with passage [the] vineyard wall from this and wall from this
Allora l'angelo del Signore si fermò in un sentiero infossato tra le vigne, che aveva un muro di qua e un muro di là.

L'angelo del Signore passò di nuovo più avanti e si fermò in un luogo stretto, tanto stretto che non vi era modo di ritirarsi né a destra, né a sinistra.
27 and to see: see [the] she-ass [obj] messenger: angel LORD and to stretch underneath: under Balaam and to be incensed face: anger Balaam and to smite [obj] [the] she-ass in/on/with rod
L'asina vide l'angelo del Signore e si accovacciò sotto Balaam; l'ira di Balaam si accese ed egli percosse l'asina con il bastone.
28 and to open LORD [obj] lip [the] she-ass and to say to/for Balaam what? to make: do to/for you for to smite me this three foot
Allora il Signore aprì la bocca all'asina ed essa disse a Balaam: «Che ti ho fatto perché tu mi percuota gia per la terza volta?».
29 and to say Balaam to/for she-ass for to abuse in/on/with me if there sword in/on/with hand my for now to kill you
Balaam rispose all'asina: «Perché ti sei beffata di me! Se avessi una spada in mano, ti ammazzerei subito».
30 and to say [the] she-ass to(wards) Balaam not I she-ass your which to ride upon me from still your till [the] day [the] this be useful be useful to/for to make: do to/for you thus and to say not
L'asina disse a Balaam: «Non sono io la tua asina sulla quale hai sempre cavalcato fino ad oggi? Sono forse abituata ad agire così?». Ed egli rispose: «No».
31 and to reveal: uncover LORD [obj] eye Balaam and to see: see [obj] messenger: angel LORD to stand in/on/with way: journey and sword his to draw in/on/with hand his and to bow and to bow to/for face his
Allora il Signore aprì gli occhi a Balaam ed egli vide l'angelo del Signore, che stava sulla strada con la spada sguainata. Balaam si inginocchiò e si prostrò con la faccia a terra.
32 and to say to(wards) him messenger: angel LORD upon what? to smite [obj] she-ass your this three foot behold I to come out: come to/for Satan for to push [the] way: conduct to/for before me
L'angelo del Signore gli disse: «Perché hai percosso la tua asina gia tre volte? Ecco io sono uscito a ostacolarti il cammino, perché il cammino davanti a me va in precipizio.
33 and to see: see me [the] she-ass and to stretch to/for face: before my this three foot perhaps to stretch from face: before my for now also [obj] you to kill and [obj] her to live
Tre volte l'asina mi ha visto ed è uscita di strada davanti a me; se non fosse uscita di strada davanti a me, certo io avrei gia ucciso te e lasciato in vita lei».
34 and to say Balaam to(wards) messenger: angel LORD to sin for not to know for you(m. s.) to stand to/for to encounter: toward me in/on/with way: road and now if be evil in/on/with eye: seeing your to return: return to/for me
Allora Balaam disse all'angelo del Signore: «Io ho peccato, perché non sapevo che tu ti fossi posto contro di me sul cammino; ora se questo ti dispiace, io tornerò indietro».
35 and to say messenger: angel LORD to(wards) Balaam to go: went with [the] human and end [obj] [the] word which to speak: speak to(wards) you [obj] him to speak: speak and to go: went Balaam with ruler Balak
L'angelo del Signore disse a Balaam: «Và pure con quegli uomini; ma dirai soltanto quello che io ti dirò». Balaam andò con i capi di Balak.
36 and to hear: hear Balak for to come (in): come Balaam and to come out: come to/for to encounter: meet him to(wards) city Moab which upon border: boundary Arnon which in/on/with end [the] border: boundary
Quando Balak udì che Balaam arrivava, gli andò incontro a Ir-Moab che è sul confine dell'Arnon, all'estremità del confine.
37 and to say Balak to(wards) Balaam not to send: depart to send: depart to(wards) you to/for to call: call to to/for you to/for what? not to go: come to(wards) me truly not be able to honor: honour you
Balak disse a Balaam: «Non ti avevo forse mandato a chiamare con insistenza? Perché non sei venuto da me? Non sono forse in grado di farti onore?».
38 and to say Balaam to(wards) Balak behold to come (in): come to(wards) you now be able be able to speak: speak anything [the] word which to set: put God in/on/with lip my [obj] him to speak: speak
Balaam rispose a Balak: «Ecco, sono venuto da te; ma ora posso forse dire qualsiasi cosa? La parola che Dio mi metterà in bocca, quella dirò».
39 and to go: went Balaam with Balak and to come (in): come Kiriath-huzoth Kiriath-huzoth
Balaam andò con Balak e giunsero a Kiriat-Cusot.
40 and to sacrifice Balak cattle and flock and to send: depart to/for Balaam and to/for ruler which with him
Balak immolò bestiame grosso e minuto e mandò parte della carne a Balaam e ai capi che erano con lui.
41 and to be in/on/with morning and to take: take Balak [obj] Balaam and to ascend: establish him Bamoth (Bamoth)-baal and to see: see from there end [the] people
La mattina Balak prese Balaam e lo fece salire a Bamot-Baal, da dove si vedeva un'estremità dell'accampamento del popolo.
