Daniel 1
1 in/on/with year three to/for royalty Jehoiakim king Judah to come (in): come Nebuchadnezzar king Babylon Jerusalem and to confine upon her
In het derde jaar des koninkrijks van Jojakim, den koning van Juda, kwam Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, te Jeruzalem, en belegerde haar.

En de HEERE gaf Jojakim, den koning van Juda, in zijn hand, en een deel der vaten van het huis Gods; en hij bracht ze in het land van Sinear, in het huis zijns gods; en de vaten bracht hij in het schathuis zijns gods.
3 and to say [the] king to/for Ashpenaz chief eunuch his to/for to come (in): bring from son: descendant/people Israel and from seed: children [the] kingship and from [the] noble
En de koning zeide tot Aspenaz, den overste zijner kamerlingen, dat hij voorbrengen zou enigen uit de kinderen Israels, te weten, uit het koninklijk zaad, en uit de prinsen;
4 youth which nothing in/on/with them all (blemish *Qk) and pleasant appearance and be prudent in/on/with all wisdom and to know knowledge and to understand knowledge and which strength in/on/with them to/for to stand: stand in/on/with temple: palace [the] king and to/for to learn: teach them scroll: book and tongue: language Chaldea
Jongelingen, aan dewelke geen gebrek ware, maar schoon van aangezicht, en vernuftig in alle wijsheid, en ervaren in wetenschap, en kloek van verstand, en in dewelke bekwaamheid ware, om te staan in des konings paleis; en dat men hen onderwees in de boeken en spraak der Chaldeen.
5 and to count to/for them [the] king word: portion day: daily in/on/with day: daily his from choice choice [the] king and from wine feast his and to/for to magnify them year three and from end their to stand: stand to/for face: before [the] king
En de koning verordende hun, wat men ze dag bij dag geven zou van de stukken der spijs des konings, en van den wijn zijns dranks, en dat men hen drie jaren alzo optoog, en dat zij ten einde derzelve zouden staan voor het aangezicht des konings.
6 and to be in/on/with them from son: descendant/people Judah Daniel Hananiah Mishael and Azariah
Onder dezelve nu waren uit de kinderen van Juda: Daniel, Hananja, Misael en Azarja.
7 and to set: name to/for them ruler [the] eunuch name and to set: name to/for Daniel Belteshazzar and to/for Hananiah Shadrach and to/for Mishael Meshach and to/for Azariah Abednego Abednego
En de overste der kamerlingen gaf hun andere namen, en Daniel noemde hij Beltsazar, en Hananja Sadrach, en Misael Mesach, en Azarja Abed-nego.
8 and to set: make Daniel upon heart his which not to defile in/on/with choice [the] king and in/on/with wine feast his and to seek from ruler [the] eunuch which not to defile
Daniel nu nam voor in zijn hart, dat hij zich niet zou ontreinigen met de stukken van de spijs des konings, noch met den wijn zijns dranks; daarom verzocht hij van den overste der kamerlingen, dat hij zich niet mocht ontreinigen.
9 and to give: give [the] God [obj] Daniel to/for kindness and to/for compassion to/for face of ruler [the] eunuch
En God gaf Daniel genade en barmhartigheid voor het aangezicht van den overste der kamerlingen.
10 and to say ruler [the] eunuch to/for Daniel afraid I [obj] lord my [the] king which to count [obj] food your and [obj] feast your which to/for what? to see: see [obj] face of your to enrage from [the] youth which like/as youth your and to endanger [obj] head my to/for king
Want de overste der kamerlingen zeide tot Daniel: Ik vreze mijn heer, den koning, die ulieder spijs, en ulieder drank verordend heeft; want waarom zou hij ulieder aangezichten droeviger zien, dan der jongelingen, die in gelijkheid met ulieden zijn? Alzo zoudt gij mijn hoofd bij den koning schuldig maken.
11 and to say Daniel to(wards) [the] `steward` which to count ruler [the] eunuch upon Daniel Hananiah Mishael and Azariah
Toen zeide Daniel tot Melzar, dien de overste der kamerlingen gesteld had over Daniel, Hananja, Misael en Azarja:
12 to test please [obj] servant/slave your day ten and to give: give to/for us from [the] vegetable and to eat and water and to drink
Beproef toch uw knechten tien dagen lang, en men geve ons van het gezaaide te eten, en water te drinken.
13 and to see: see to/for face of your appearance our and appearance [the] youth [the] to eat [obj] choice [the] king and like/as as which to see: see to make: do with servant/slave your
En men zie voor uw aangezicht onze gedaanten, en de gedaante der jongelingen, die de stukken van de spijs des konings eten; en doe met uw knechten, naar dat gij zien zult.
14 and to hear: hear to/for them to/for word: thing [the] this and to test them day ten
Toen hoorde hij hen in deze zaak, en hij beproefde ze tien dagen.
15 and from end day ten to see: see appearance their pleasant and fat flesh from all [the] youth [the] to eat [obj] choice [the] king
Ten einde nu der tien dagen, zag men dat hun gedaanten schoner waren, en zij vetter waren van vlees dan al de jongelingen, die de stukken van de spijze des konings aten.
16 and to be [the] `steward` to lift: raise [obj] choice their and wine feast their and to give: give to/for them vegetable
Toen geschiedde het, dat Melzar de stukken hunner spijs wegnam, mitsgaders den wijn huns dranks, en hij gaf hun van het gezaaide.
17 and [the] youth [the] these four their to give: give to/for them [the] God knowledge and be prudent in/on/with all scroll: book and wisdom and Daniel to understand in/on/with all vision and dream
Aan deze vier jongelingen nu gaf God wetenschap en verstand in alle boeken, en wijsheid; maar Daniel gaf Hij verstand in allerlei gezichten en dromen.
18 and to/for from end [the] day which to say [the] king to/for to come (in): bring them and to come (in): bring them ruler [the] eunuch to/for face: before Nebuchadnezzar
Ten einde nu der dagen, waarvan de koning gezegd had, dat men hen zou inbrengen, zo bracht ze de overste der kamerlingen in voor het aangezicht van Nebukadnezar,
19 and to speak: speak with them [the] king and not to find from all their like/as Daniel Hananiah Mishael and Azariah and to stand: stand to/for face: before [the] king
En de koning sprak met hen; doch er werd uit hen allen niemand gevonden, gelijk Daniel, Hananja, Misael en Azarja; en zij stonden voor het aangezicht des konings.
20 and all word: thing wisdom understanding which to seek from them [the] king and to find them ten hand: times upon all [the] magician [the] enchanter which in/on/with all royalty his
En in alle zaken van verstandige wijsheid, die de koning hun afvroeg, zo vond hij hen tienmaal boven al de tovernaars en sterrekijkers, die in zijn ganse koninkrijk waren.
21 and to be Daniel till year one to/for Cyrus [the] king
En Daniel bleef tot het eerste jaar van den koning Kores toe.
