Daniel 4
1 Nebuchadnezzar king [the] to/for all people [the] people [the] and tongue [the] that (to dwell *Qk) in/on/with all earth: planet [the] peace your to grow great
Nebucadnetsar, roi, à tous les peuples, aux nations, aux hommes de toutes langues, qui habitent sur toute la terre. Que la paix vous soit donnée avec abondance!
2 sign [the] and wonder [the] that to make with me god [the] (Most High [the] *Qk) to acceptable before me to/for to show
Il m’a semblé bon de faire connaître les signes et les prodiges que le Dieu suprême a opérés à mon égard.
3 sign his like/as what? great and wonder his like/as what? strong kingdom his kingdom perpetuity and dominion his with generation and generation
Que ses signes sont grands! Que ses prodiges sont puissants! Son règne est un règne éternel, et sa domination subsiste de génération en génération.
4 me Nebuchadnezzar be safe to be in/on/with house my and luxuriant in/on/with temple: palace my
Moi, Nebucadnetsar, je vivais tranquille dans ma maison, et heureux dans mon palais.
5 dream to see and to fear me and fantasies since bed my and vision head my to dismay me
J’ai eu un songe qui m’a effrayé; les pensées dont j’étais poursuivi sur ma couche et les visions de mon esprit me remplissaient d’épouvante.
6 and from me to set: make command to/for to come before me to/for all wise Babylon that interpretation dream [the] to know me
J’ordonnai qu’on fît venir devant moi tous les sages de Babylone, afin qu’ils me donnassent l’explication du songe.
7 in/on/with then (to come *Qk) magician [the] enchanter [the] (Chaldean my *QK) and to determine [the] and dream [the] to say me before them and interpretation his not to know to/for me
Alors vinrent les magiciens, les astrologues, les Chaldéens et les devins. Je leur dis le songe, et ils ne m’en donnèrent point l’explication.
8 and till finally to come before me Daniel that name his Belteshazzar like/as name god my and that spirit god holy in/on/with him and dream [the] before him to say
En dernier lieu, se présenta devant moi Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar d’après le nom de mon dieu, et qui a en lui l’esprit des dieux saints. Je lui dis le songe:
9 Belteshazzar great magician [the] that me to know that spirit god holy in/on/with you and all mystery not to constrain to/for you vision dream my that to see and interpretation his to say
Beltschatsar, chef des magiciens, qui as en toi, je le sais, l’esprit des dieux saints, et pour qui aucun secret n’est difficile, donne-moi l’explication des visions que j’ai eues en songe.
10 and vision head my since bed my to see to be and behold tree in/on/with midst earth: planet [the] and height his greatly
Voici les visions de mon esprit, pendant que j’étais sur ma couche. Je regardais, et voici, il y avait au milieu de la terre un arbre d’une grande hauteur.
11 to grow great tree [the] and to grow strong and height his to reach to/for heaven [the] and visibility his to/for end all earth: planet [the]
Cet arbre était devenu grand et fort, sa cime s’élevait jusqu’aux cieux, et on le voyait des extrémités de toute la terre.
12 foliage his fair and fruit his greatly and food to/for all [the] in/on/with him under him to have shade beast field [the] and in/on/with bough his (to dwell *Qk) bird heaven [the] and from him to feed all flesh [the]
Son feuillage était beau, et ses fruits abondants; il portait de la nourriture pour tous; les bêtes des champs s’abritaient sous son ombre, les oiseaux du ciel faisaient leur demeure parmi ses branches, et tout être vivant tirait de lui sa nourriture.
13 to see to be in/on/with vision head my since bed my and behold watcher and holy from heaven [the] to descend
Dans les visions de mon esprit, que j’avais sur ma couche, je regardais, et voici, un de ceux qui veillent et qui sont saints descendit des cieux.
14 to read in/on/with strength and thus to say to chop tree [the] and to cut bough his to strip foliage his and to scatter fruit his to flee beast [the] from under him and bird [the] from bough his
Il cria avec force et parla ainsi: Abattez l’arbre, et coupez ses branches; secouez le feuillage, et dispersez les fruits; que les bêtes fuient de dessous, et les oiseaux du milieu de ses branches!
15 nevertheless root root his in/on/with earth: soil [the] to be left and in/on/with bond that iron and bronze in/on/with grass [the] that field [the] and in/on/with dew heaven [the] to drench and with beast [the] portion his in/on/with grass earth: soil [the]
Mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d’airain, parmi l’herbe des champs. Qu’il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et qu’il ait, comme les bêtes, l’herbe de la terre pour partage.
16 heart his from (man [the] *Qk) to change and heart beast to give to/for him and seven time to pass since him
Son cœur d’homme lui sera ôté, et un cœur de bête lui sera donné; et sept temps passeront sur lui.
17 in/on/with decree watcher edict [the] and command holy affair [the] till cause that to know living [the] that ruling (Most High [the] *Qk) in/on/with kingdom (man [the] *Qk) and to/for who? that to will to give: give her and low man to stand: establish (since her *Qk)
Cette sentence est un décret de ceux qui veillent, cette résolution est un ordre des saints, afin que les vivants sachent que le Très-Haut domine sur le règne des hommes, qu’il le donne à qui il lui plaît, et qu’il y élève le plus vil des hommes.
18 this dream [the] to see me king [the] Nebuchadnezzar (and you *Qk) Belteshazzar interpretation his to say like/as to/for before: because that all wise kingdom my not be able interpretation [the] to/for to know me (and you *Qk) be able that spirit god holy in/on/with you
Voilà le songe que j’ai eu, moi, le roi Nebucadnetsar. Toi, Beltschatsar, donnes-en l’explication, puisque tous les sages de mon royaume ne peuvent me la donner; toi, tu le peux, car tu as en toi l’esprit des dieux saints.
19 then Daniel that name his Belteshazzar be appalled like/as moment one and thought his to dismay him to answer king [the] and to say Belteshazzar dream [the] and interpretation his not to dismay you to answer Belteshazzar and to say (lord my *Qk) dream [the] (to/for to hate you *QK) and interpretation his (to/for foe your *Qk)
Alors Daniel, nommé Beltschatsar, fut un moment stupéfait, et ses pensées le troublaient. Le roi reprit et dit: Beltschatsar, que le songe et l’explication ne te troublent pas! Et Beltschatsar répondit: Mon seigneur, que le songe soit pour tes ennemis, et son explication pour tes adversaires!
20 tree [the] that to see that to grow great and to grow strong and height his to reach to/for heaven [the] and visibility his to/for all earth: planet [the]
L’arbre que tu as vu, qui était devenu grand et fort, dont la cime s’élevait jusqu’aux cieux, et qu’on voyait de tous les points de la terre;
21 and foliage his fair and fruit his greatly and food to/for all [the] in/on/with him under him to dwell beast field [the] and in/on/with bough his to dwell bird heaven [the]
cet arbre, dont le feuillage était beau et les fruits abondants, qui portait de la nourriture pour tous, sous lequel s’abritaient les bêtes des champs, et parmi les branches duquel les oiseaux du ciel faisaient leur demeure,
22 (you *Qk) he/she/it king [the] that to grow great and to grow strong and greatness your to grow great and to reach to/for heaven [the] and dominion your to/for end earth: planet [the]
c’est toi, ô roi, qui es devenu grand et fort, dont la grandeur s’est accrue et s’est élevée jusqu’aux cieux, et dont la domination s’étend jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre.
23 and that to see king [the] watcher and holy to descend from heaven [the] and to say to chop tree [the] and to destroy him nevertheless root root his in/on/with earth: soil [the] to be left and in/on/with bond that iron and bronze in/on/with grass [the] that field [the] and in/on/with dew heaven [the] to drench and with beast field [the] portion his till that seven time to pass since him
Le roi a vu l’un de ceux qui veillent et qui sont saints descendre des cieux et dire: Abattez l’arbre, et détruisez-le; mais laissez en terre le tronc où se trouvent les racines, et liez-le avec des chaînes de fer et d’airain, parmi l’herbe des champs; qu’il soit trempé de la rosée du ciel, et que son partage soit avec les bêtes des champs, jusqu’à ce que sept temps soient passés sur lui.
24 this interpretation [the] king [the] and decree (Most High [the] *Qk) he/she/it that to reach since (lord my *Qk) king [the]
Voici l’explication, ô roi, voici le décret du Très-Haut, qui s’accomplira sur mon seigneur le roi.
25 and to/for you to chase away from man [the] and with beast field [the] to be dwelling your and grass [the] like/as bullock to/for you to feed and from dew heaven [the] to/for you to drench and seven time to pass (since you *Qk) till that to know that ruling (Most High [the] *Qk) in/on/with kingdom man [the] and to/for who? that to will to give: give her
On te chassera du milieu des hommes, tu auras ta demeure avec les bêtes des champs, et l’on te donnera comme aux bœufs de l’herbe à manger; tu seras trempé de la rosée du ciel, et sept temps passeront sur toi, jusqu’à ce que tu saches que le Très-Haut domine sur le règne des hommes et qu’il le donne à qui il lui plaît.
26 and that to say to/for to be left root root his that tree [the] kingdom your to/for you enduring from that to know that ruling heaven [the]
L’ordre de laisser le tronc où se trouvent les racines de l’arbre signifie que ton royaume te restera quand tu reconnaîtras que celui qui domine est dans les cieux.
27 therefore king [the] counsel my to acceptable (since you *Qk) (and sin your *QK) in/on/with righteousness to break and iniquity your in/on/with be gracious to afflict therefore to be lengthening to/for ease your
C’est pourquoi, ô roi, puisse mon conseil te plaire! Mets un terme à tes péchés en pratiquant la justice, et à tes iniquités en usant de compassion envers les malheureux, et ton bonheur pourra se prolonger.
28 all [the] to reach since Nebuchadnezzar king [the]
Toutes ces choses se sont accomplies sur le roi Nebucadnetsar.
29 to/for end month two ten since temple: palace kingdom [the] that Babylon to go to be
Au bout de douze mois, comme il se promenait dans le palais royal à Babylone,
30 to answer king [the] and to say not this he/she/it Babylon great [the] that me to build her to/for house kingdom in/on/with might authority my and to/for honor honor my
le roi prit la parole et dit: N’est-ce pas ici Babylone la grande, que j’ai bâtie, comme résidence royale, par la puissance de ma force et pour la gloire de ma magnificence?
31 still word [the] in/on/with mouth king [the] voice from heaven [the] to fall to/for you to say Nebuchadnezzar king [the] kingdom [the] to pass on/over/away from you
La parole était encore dans la bouche du roi, qu’une voix descendit du ciel: Apprends, roi Nebucadnetsar, qu’on va t’enlever le royaume.
32 and from man [the] to/for you to chase away and with beast field [the] dwelling your grass [the] like/as bullock to/for you to feed and seven time to pass (since you *Qk) till that to know that ruling (Most High [the] *Qk) in/on/with kingdom man [the] and to/for who? that to will to give: give her
On te chassera du milieu des hommes, tu auras ta demeure avec les bêtes des champs, on te donnera comme aux bœufs de l’herbe à manger; et sept temps passeront sur toi, jusqu’à ce que tu saches que le Très-Haut domine sur le règne des hommes et qu’il le donne à qui il lui plaît.
33 in/on/with her moment [the] word [the] be fulfilled since Nebuchadnezzar and from man [the] to chase away and grass [the] like/as bullock to devour and from dew heaven [the] body his to drench till that hair his like/as eagle to grow great and nail/claw his like/as bird
Au même instant la parole s’accomplit sur Nebucadnetsar. Il fut chassé du milieu des hommes, il mangea de l’herbe comme les bœufs, son corps fut trempé de la rosée du ciel; jusqu’à ce que ses cheveux crussent comme les plumes des aigles, et ses ongles comme ceux des oiseaux.
34 and to/for end day [the] me Nebuchadnezzar eye my to/for heaven [the] to lift and knowledge my since me to return: return (and to/for Most High [the] *Qk) to bless and to/for living perpetuity [the] to praise and to honor that dominion his dominion perpetuity and kingdom his with generation and generation
Après le temps marqué, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je levai les yeux vers le ciel, et la raison me revint. J’ai béni le Très-Haut, j’ai loué et glorifié celui qui vit éternellement, celui dont la domination est une domination éternelle, et dont le règne subsiste de génération en génération.
35 and all (to dwell *Qk) earth: planet [the] like/as not to account and like/as to will he to make in/on/with strength heaven [the] (and to dwell *Qk) earth: planet [the] and not there is that to smite in/on/with hand his and to say to/for him what? to make
Tous les habitants de la terre ne sont à ses yeux que néant: il agit comme il lui plaît avec l’armée des cieux et avec les habitants de la terre, et il n’y a personne qui résiste à sa main et qui lui dise: Que fais-tu?
36 in/on/with him time [the] knowledge my to return: return since me and to/for honor kingdom my honor my and splendor my to return: return since me and to/for me counselor my and noble my to ask and since kingdom my to confirm and greatness preeminent to add to/for me
En ce temps, la raison me revint; la gloire de mon royaume, ma magnificence et ma splendeur me furent rendues; mes conseillers et mes grands me redemandèrent; je fus rétabli dans mon royaume, et ma puissance ne fit que s’accroître.
37 now me Nebuchadnezzar to praise and to rise and to honor to/for king heaven [the] that all work his truth and way his judgment and that to go in/on/with pride be able to/for be low
Maintenant, moi, Nebucadnetsar, je loue, j’exalte et je glorifie le roi des cieux, dont toutes les œuvres sont vraies et les voies justes, et qui peut abaisser ceux qui marchent avec orgueil.
