Amos 8

Ово ми показа Господ: Гле, котарица летњег воћа.

И рече: Шта видиш, Амосе? А ја рекох: Котарицу летњег воћа. А Господ ми рече: Дође крај народу мом Израиљу, нећу га више пролазити.

И песме ће црквене бити ридање у онај дан, говори Господ; биће мноштво мртвих телеса, која ће се свуда побацати ћутећи.

Чујте ово, који прождирете убоге и сатирете сиромахе у земљи,
5 to/for to say how to pass [the] month: new moon and to buy grain grain and [the] Sabbath and to open grain to/for be small ephah and to/for to magnify shekel and to/for to pervert balance deceit
Говорећи: Кад ће проћи младина да продајемо жито? И субота да отворимо пшеницу? Умањујући ефу и повећавајући сикал и варајући лажним мерилима;

Да купујемо сиромахе за новце и убогог за једне опанке, и да продајемо очинке од пшенице.

Закле се Господ славом Јаковљевом: Нећу никада заборавити ниједно дело њихово.

Неће ли се земља потрести од тога, и протужити сваки који живи на њој? И неће ли се сва разлити као река? И неће ли се однети и потопити као од реке мисирске?
9 and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it utterance Lord YHWH/God and to come (in): (sun)set [the] sun in/on/with midday and to darken to/for land: country/planet in/on/with day light
И у онај дан, говори Господ Господ, учинићу да сунце зађе у подне, и помрачићу земљу за белог дана.
10 and to overturn feast your to/for mourning and all song your to/for dirge and to ascend: establish upon all loin sackcloth and upon all head bald spot and to set: make her like/as mourning only and end her like/as day bitter
И претворићу празнике ваше у жалост и све песме ваше у плач, и метнућу кострет око свих бедара, и учинићу да свака глава оћелави и да буде жалост као за јединцем, и крај ће јој бити као горак дан.
11 behold day to come (in): come utterance Lord YHWH/God and to send: depart famine in/on/with land: country/planet not famine to/for food: bread and not thirst to/for water that if: except if: except to/for to hear: hear [obj] word LORD
Гле, иду дани, говори Господ Господ, кад ћу пустити глад на земљу, не глад хлеба ни жеђ воде, него слушања речи Господњих.
12 and to shake from sea till sea and from north and till east to rove to/for to seek [obj] word LORD and not to find
И потуцаће се од мора до мора, и од севера до истока трчаће тражећи реч Господњу, и неће је наћи.
13 in/on/with day [the] he/she/it to enwrap [the] virgin [the] beautiful and [the] youth in/on/with thirst
У то ће време обамирати лепе девојке и младићи од жеђи,
14 [the] to swear in/on/with guiltiness Samaria and to say alive God your Dan and alive way: road Beersheba Beersheba and to fall: kill and not to arise: rise still
Који се куну кривицом самаријском и говоре: Тако да је жив Бог твој, Дане, и тако да је жив пут у Вирсавеју. И пашће, и неће више устати.
