2 Samuel 20
1 and there to encounter: chanced man Belial and name his Sheba son: child Bichri man [Ben]jaminite and to blow in/on/with trumpet and to say nothing to/for us portion in/on/with David and not inheritance to/for us in/on/with son: child Jesse man: anyone to/for tent his Israel
Toen was daar bij geval een Belials man, wiens naam was Seba, een zoon van Bichri, een man van Jemini; die blies met de bazuin, en zeide: Wij hebben geen deel aan David, en wij hebben geen erfenis aan den zoon van Isai, een iegelijk naar zijn tenten, o Israel!
2 and to ascend: rise all man Israel from after David after Sheba son: child Bichri and man Judah to cleave in/on/with king their from [the] Jordan and till Jerusalem
Toen toog alle man van Israel op van achter David, Seba, den zoon van Bichri, achterna; maar de mannen van Juda kleefden hun koning aan, van de Jordaan af tot aan Jeruzalem.
3 and to come (in): come David to(wards) house: home his Jerusalem and to take: take [the] king [obj] ten woman: wife concubine which to rest to/for to keep: guard [the] house: home and to give: put them house: home charge and to sustain them and to(wards) them not to come (in): come and to be to constrain till day to die they widowhood living
Toen nu David in zijn huis te Jeruzalem kwam, nam de koning de tien vrouwen, zijn bijwijven, die hij gelaten had, om het huis te bewaren, en deed ze in een huis van bewaring, en onderhield ze, maar ging tot haar niet in. En zij waren opgesloten tot op den dag van haarlieder dood, levende als weduwen.
4 and to say [the] king to(wards) Amasa to cry out to/for me [obj] man Judah three day and you(m. s.) here to stand: stand
Voorts zeide de koning tot Amasa: Roep mij de mannen van Juda te zamen, tegen den derden dag; en gij, stel u dan hier.
5 and to go: went Amasa to/for to cry out [obj] Judah (and to delay *QK) from [the] meeting: time appointed which to appoint him
En Amasa ging heen, om Juda bijeen te roepen; maar hij bleef achter, boven den gezetten tijd, dien hij hem gezet had.
6 and to say David to(wards) Abishai now be evil to/for us Sheba son: child Bichri from Absalom you(m. s.) to take: take [obj] servant/slave lord your and to pursue after him lest to find to/for him city to gather/restrain/fortify and to rescue eye: before(the eyes) our
Toen zeide David tot Abisai: Nu zal ons Seba, de zoon van Bichri, meer kwaads doen, dan Absalom; neem gij de knechten uws heren, en jaag hem achterna, opdat hij niet misschien vaste steden voor zich vinde, en zich aan onze ogen onttrekke.
7 and to come out: come after him human Joab and [the] Cherethite and [the] Pelethite and all [the] mighty man and to come out: come from Jerusalem to/for to pursue after Sheba son: child Bichri
Toen togen uit, hem achterna, de mannen van Joab, en de Krethi, en de Plethi, en al de helden. Dezen togen uit van Jeruzalem, om Seba, den zoon van Bichri, achterna te jagen.
8 they(masc.) with [the] stone [the] great: large which in/on/with Gibeon and Amasa to come (in): come to/for face: before their and Joab to gird garment his clothing his (and upon him *Qk) belt sword to join upon loin his in/on/with razor her and he/she/it to come out: come and to fall: fall
Als zij nu waren bij den groten steen, die bij Gibeon is, zo kwam Amasa voor hun aangezicht. En Joab was omgord over zijn kleed, dat hij aan had, en daarop was een gordel, daar het zwaard aan vastgemaakt was op zijn lenden in zijn schede; en als hij voortging, zo viel het uit.
9 and to say Joab to/for Amasa peace: well-being you(m. s.) brother: compatriot my and to grasp hand right Joab in/on/with beard Amasa to/for to kiss to/for him
En Joab zeide tot Amasa: Is het wel met u, mijn broeder? En Joab vatte met de rechterhand den baard van Amasa, om hem te kussen.
10 and Amasa not to keep: look at in/on/with sword which in/on/with hand Joab and to smite him in/on/with her to(wards) [the] belly and to pour: pour belly his land: soil [to] and not to repeat to/for him and to die and Joab and Abishai brother: male-sibling his to pursue after Sheba son: child Bichri
En Amasa hoedde zich niet voor het zwaard, dat in Joabs hand was; zo sloeg hij hem daarmede aan de vijfde rib, en hij stortte zijn ingewand ter aarde uit, en hij sloeg hem niet ten tweeden male, en hij stierf. Toen jaagden Joab en zijn broeder Abisai, Seba, den zoon van Bichri, achterna.
11 and man to stand: stand upon him from youth Joab and to say who? which to delight in in/on/with Joab and who? which to/for David after Joab
Maar een man, van Joabs jongens, bleef bij hem staan, en hij zeide: Wie is er, die lust heeft aan Joab, en wie is er, die voor David is, die volge Joab na!
12 and Amasa to roll in/on/with blood in/on/with midst [the] highway and to see: see [the] man for to stand: stand all [the] people and to turn: turn [obj] Amasa from [the] highway [the] land: country and to throw upon him garment like/as as which to see: see all [the] to come (in): come upon him and to stand: stand
Amasa nu lag in het bloed gewenteld, midden op de straat. Als die man zag, dat al het volk staan bleef, zo deed hij Amasa weg van de straat in het veld, en wierp een kleed op hem, dewijl hij zag, dat al wie bij hem kwam, bleef staan.
13 like/as as which to thrust away from [the] highway to pass all man after Joab to/for to pursue after Sheba son: child Bichri
Toen hij nu van de straat weggenomen was, toog alle man voort, Joab na, om Seba, den zoon van Bichri, achterna te jagen.
14 and to pass in/on/with all tribe Israel Abel-beth-maachah [to] and Abel-beth-maachah Abel-beth-maachah and all [the] Bichrites (and to gather *QK) and to come (in): come also after him
En hij toog heen door alle stammen van Israel, naar Abel, te weten, Beth-Maacha, en het ganse Berim; en zij verzamelden zich, en kwamen hem ook na.
15 and to come (in): come and to confine upon him in/on/with Abel-beth-maachah [to] Abel-beth-maachah [the] Abel-beth-maachah and to pour: build siege mound mound to(wards) [the] city and to stand: stand in/on/with rampart and all [the] people: soldiers which with Joab to ruin to/for to fall: fall [the] wall
En zij kwamen en belegerden hem in Abel Beth-Maacha, en zij wierpen een wal op tegen de stad, dat hij aan den buitenmuur stond; en al het volk, dat met Joab was, verdorven den muur, om dien neder te vellen.
16 and to call: call to woman wise from [the] city to hear: hear to hear: hear to say please to(wards) Joab to present: come till here/thus and to speak: speak to(wards) you
Toen riep een wijze vrouw uit de stad: Hoort, hoort, zegt toch tot Joab: Nader tot hiertoe, dat ik tot u spreke.
17 and to present: come to(wards) her and to say [the] woman you(m. s.) Joab and to say I and to say to/for him to hear: hear word maidservant your and to say to hear: hear I
Toen hij nu tot haar naderde, zeide de vrouw: Zijt gij Joab? En hij zeide: Ik ben het; en zij zeide tot hem: Hoor de woorden uwer dienstmaagd; en hij zeide: Ik hoor.
18 and to say to/for to say to speak: speak to speak: speak in/on/with first: previous to/for to say to ask to ask in/on/with Abel and so to finish
Toen sprak zij, zeggende: In voortijden spraken zij gemeenlijk, zeggende: Zij zullen zonder twijfel te Abel vragen; en alzo volbrachten zij het.
19 I to ally faithful Israel you(m. s.) to seek to/for to die city and mother in/on/with Israel to/for what? to swallow up inheritance LORD
Ik ben een van de vreedzamen, van de getrouwen in Israel, en gij zoekt te doden een stad, die een moeder is in Israel; waarom zoudt gij het erfdeel des HEEREN verslinden?
20 and to answer Joab and to say forbid forbid to/for me if to swallow up and if to ruin
Toen antwoordde Joab, en zeide: Het zij verre, het zij verre van mij, dat ik zou verslinden, en dat ik zou verderven.
21 not so [the] word: thing for man from mountain: hill country Ephraim Sheba son: child Bichri name his to lift: fight hand his in/on/with king in/on/with David to give: give [obj] him to/for alone him and to go: went from upon [the] city and to say [the] woman to(wards) Joab behold head his to throw to(wards) you about/through/for [the] wall
De zaak is niet alzo; maar een man van het gebergte van Efraim, wiens naam is Seba, de zoon van Bichri, heeft zijn hand opgeheven tegen den koning, tegen David; lever hem alleen, zo zal ik van deze stad aftrekken. Toen zeide de vrouw tot Joab: Zie, zijn hoofd zal tot u over den muur geworpen worden.
22 and to come (in): come [the] woman to(wards) all [the] people in/on/with wisdom her and to cut: cut [obj] head Sheba son: child Bichri and to throw to(wards) Joab and to blow in/on/with trumpet and to scatter from upon [the] city man: anyone to/for tent: home his and Joab to return: return Jerusalem to(wards) [the] king
En de vrouw kwam in tot al het volk, met haar wijsheid; en zij hieuwen Seba, den zoon van Bichri, het hoofd af, en wierpen het tot Joab. Toen blies hij met de bazuin, en zij verstrooiden zich van de stad, een iegelijk naar zijn tenten; en Joab keerde weder naar Jeruzalem tot den koning.
23 and Joab to(wards) all [the] army Israel and Benaiah son: child Jehoiada upon ([the] Cherethite *QK) and upon [the] Pelethite
Joab nu was over het ganse heir van Israel; en Benaja, de zoon van Jojada, over de Krethi en over de Plethi;
24 and Adoram upon [the] taskworker and Jehoshaphat son: child Ahilud [the] to remember
En Adoram was over de schatting; en Josafat, de zoon van Ahilud, was kanselier;
25 (and Sheva *QK) secretary and Zadok and Abiathar priest
En Seja was schrijver; en Zadok en Abjathar waren priesters.
26 and also Ira [the] Jairite to be priest to/for David
En ook was Ira, de Jairiet, Davids opperofficier.
