1 and to reign to dwell Jerusalem [obj] Ahaziah son: child his [the] small: young underneath: instead him for all [the] first: chief to kill [the] band [the] to come (in): come in/on/with Arabian to/for camp and to reign Ahaziah son: child Jehoram king Judah
౧యెరూషలేము నివాసులు యెహోరాము ఆఖరి కొడుకు అహజ్యాను అతనికి బదులు రాజుగా చేశారు. ఎందుకంటే, అరబీయులతో కూడ శిబిరం పైకి దండెత్తి వచ్చినవారు అతని పెద్దకొడుకులందరినీ చంపేశారు. ఈ విధంగా యూదారాజు యెహోరాము కొడుకు అహజ్యా రాజయ్యాడు.

౬అరాము రాజు అయిన హజాయేలుతో తాను రమాలో చేసిన యుద్ధంలో తనకు తగిలిన గాయాలను బాగుచేసుకోడానికి అతడు యెజ్రెయేలుకు తిరిగి వచ్చాడు. అహాబు కొడుకు యెహోరాము గాయపడ్డాడని విని యూదా రాజు యెహోరాము కొడుకు అహజ్యా అతనిని చూడడానికి యెజ్రెయేలు వెళ్ళాడు.

౭యెహోరాము దగ్గరికి అహజ్యా రావడం వలన దేవుడు అతనికి నాశనం కలిగించాడు. అతడు వచ్చినప్పుడు అహాబు సంతతి వారిని నిర్మూలం చేయడానికి యెహోవా అభిషేకించిన నింషీ కొడుకు యెహూ మీదికి అతడు యెహోరాముతో కలిసి వెళ్ళాడు.

౯తరువాత అతడు అహజ్యా కోసం వెతికాడు. అతడు షోమ్రోనులో దాగి ఉంటే వారు అతణ్ణి పట్టుకుని యెహూ దగ్గరికి తీసుకువచ్చారు. వారు అతణ్ణి చంపిన తరువాత “ఇతడు యెహోవాను హృదయపూర్వకంగా వెతికిన యెహోషాపాతు కొడుకు గదా” అనుకుని అతణ్ణి పాతిపెట్టారు. కాబట్టి రాజ్యమేలడానికి అహజ్యా ఇంట్లో ఎవరూ లేకుండా పోయారు.

౧౦అహజ్యా తల్లి అతల్యా తన కొడుకు చనిపోయాడని విని, యూదావారి సంబంధులైన రాజ వంశస్తులందరినీ చంపేసింది.
11 and to take: take Jehoshabeath daughter [the] king [obj] Joash son: child Ahaziah and to steal [obj] him from midst son: child [the] king [the] to die and to give: put [obj] him and [obj] to suckle his in/on/with chamber [the] bed and to hide him Jehoshabeath daughter [the] king Jehoram woman: wife Jehoiada [the] priest for he/she/it to be sister Ahaziah from face: before Athaliah and not to die him
౧౧అయితే రాజైన యెహోరాము కుమార్తె యెహోషబతు అహజ్యా కొడుకు యోవాషును, మరణమైన రాకుమారుల్లోనుండి రహస్యంగా తెచ్చి, అతనిని, అతని దాదిని ఒక పడకగదిలో దాచింది. యెహోరాము రాజు కుమార్తె, యెహోయాదా అనే యాజకుని భార్య యెహోషబతు అతల్యాకు కనబడకుండా అతణ్ణి దాచిపెట్టింది గనక అతల్యా ఆ పసివాణ్ణి చంపలేకపోయింది. ఈ యెహోషబతు అహజ్యాకు సోదరి.

౧౨ఆరు సంవత్సరాలు అతణ్ణి వారితో కూడా దేవుని మందిరంలో దాచారు. అప్పుడు అతల్యా దేశాన్ని పరిపాలించింది.
