1 Samuel 7

1 and to come (in): come human Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD and to come (in): bring [obj] him to(wards) house: home Abinadab in/on/with hill and [obj] Eleazar son: child his to consecrate: consecate to/for to keep: guard [obj] ark LORD

Les gens de Kirjath-Jearim vinrent, et firent monter l’arche de l’Éternel; ils la conduisirent dans la maison d’Abinadab, sur la colline, et ils consacrèrent son fils Éléazar pour garder l’arche de l’Éternel.

2 and to be from day to dwell [the] ark in/on/with Kiriath-jearim Kiriath-jearim and to multiply [the] day and to be twenty year and to wail all house: household Israel after LORD

Il s’était passé bien du temps depuis le jour où l’arche avait été déposée à Kirjath-Jearim. Vingt années s’étaient écoulées. Alors toute la maison d’Israël poussa des gémissements vers l’Éternel.

Samuel dit à toute la maison d’Israël: Si c’est de tout votre cœur que vous revenez à l’Éternel, ôtez du milieu de vous les dieux étrangers et les Astartés, dirigez votre cœur vers l’Éternel, et servez-le lui seul; et il vous délivrera de la main des Philistins.

Et les enfants d’Israël ôtèrent du milieu d’eux les Baals et les Astartés, et ils servirent l’Éternel seul.

5 and to say Samuel to gather [obj] all Israel [the] Mizpah [to] and to pray about/through/for you to(wards) LORD

Samuel dit: Assemblez tout Israël à Mitspa, et je prierai l’Éternel pour vous.

6 and to gather [the] Mizpah [to] and to draw water and to pour: pour to/for face: before LORD and to fast in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to say there to sin to/for LORD and to judge Samuel [obj] son: descendant/people Israel in/on/with Mizpah

Et ils s’assemblèrent à Mitspa. Ils puisèrent de l’eau et la répandirent devant l’Éternel, et ils jeûnèrent ce jour-là, en disant: Nous avons péché contre l’Éternel! Samuel jugea les enfants d’Israël à Mitspa.

7 and to hear: hear Philistine for to gather son: descendant/people Israel [the] Mizpah [to] and to ascend: rise lord Philistine to(wards) Israel and to hear: hear son: descendant/people Israel and to fear from face of Philistine

Les Philistins apprirent que les enfants d’Israël s’étaient assemblés à Mitspa, et les princes des Philistins montèrent contre Israël. A cette nouvelle, les enfants d’Israël eurent peur des Philistins,

8 and to say son: descendant/people Israel to(wards) Samuel not be quiet from us from to cry out to(wards) LORD God our and to save us from hand: power Philistine

et ils dirent à Samuel: Ne cesse point de crier pour nous à l’Éternel, notre Dieu, afin qu’il nous sauve de la main des Philistins.

9 and to take: take Samuel lamb milk one (and to ascend: offer up him *QK) burnt offering entire to/for LORD and to cry out Samuel to(wards) LORD about/through/for Israel and to answer him LORD

Samuel prit un agneau de lait, et l’offrit tout entier en holocauste à l’Éternel. Il cria à l’Éternel pour Israël, et l’Éternel l’exauça.

10 and to be Samuel to ascend: offer up [the] burnt offering and Philistine to approach: approach to/for battle in/on/with Israel and to thunder LORD in/on/with voice: sound great: large in/on/with day [the] he/she/it upon Philistine and to confuse them and to strike to/for face: before Israel

Pendant que Samuel offrait l’holocauste, les Philistins s’approchèrent pour attaquer Israël. L’Éternel fit retentir en ce jour son tonnerre sur les Philistins, et les mit en déroute. Ils furent battus devant Israël.

11 and to come out: come human Israel from [the] Mizpah and to pursue [obj] Philistine and to smite them till from underneath: under to/for Beth-car Beth-car

Les hommes d’Israël sortirent de Mitspa, poursuivirent les Philistins, et les battirent jusqu’au-dessous de Beth-Car.

12 and to take: take Samuel stone one and to set: make between [the] Mizpah and between [the] Shen and to call: call by [obj] name her Ebenezer Ebenezer and to say till here/thus to help us LORD

Samuel prit une pierre, qu’il plaça entre Mitspa et Schen, et il l’appela du nom d’Ében-Ézer, en disant: Jusqu’ici l’Éternel nous a secourus.

13 and be humble [the] Philistine and not to add: again still to/for to come (in): come in/on/with border: area Israel and to be hand: power LORD in/on/with Philistine all day Samuel

Ainsi les Philistins furent humiliés, et ils ne vinrent plus sur le territoire d’Israël. La main de l’Éternel fut contre les Philistins pendant toute la vie de Samuel.

14 and to return: rescue [the] city which to take: take Philistine from with Israel to/for Israel from Ekron and till Gath and [obj] border: area their to rescue Israel from hand: power Philistine and to be peace between Israel and between [the] Amorite

Les villes que les Philistins avaient prises sur Israël retournèrent à Israël, depuis Ékron jusqu’à Gath, avec leur territoire; Israël les arracha de la main des Philistins. Et il y eut paix entre Israël et les Amoréens.

15 and to judge Samuel [obj] Israel all day life his

Samuel fut juge en Israël pendant toute sa vie.

16 and to go: went from sufficiency year in/on/with year and to turn: surround Bethel Bethel and [the] Gilgal and [the] Mizpah and to judge [obj] Israel [obj] all [the] place [the] these

Il allait chaque année faire le tour de Béthel, de Guilgal et de Mitspa, et il jugeait Israël dans tous ces lieux.

Puis il revenait à Rama, où était sa maison; et là il jugeait Israël, et il y bâtit un autel à l’Éternel.
