1 Chronicles 15

1 and to make to/for him house: home in/on/with city David and to establish: prepare place to/for ark [the] God and to stretch to/for him tent

וַיַּֽעַשׂ־לוֹ בָתִּים בְּעִיר דָּוִיד וַיָּכֶן מָקוֹם לֽ͏ַאֲרוֹן הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִים וַיֶּט־לוֹ אֹֽהֶל׃

2 then to say David not to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark [the] God that if: except if: except [the] Levi for in/on/with them to choose LORD to/for to lift: bear [obj] ark LORD and to/for to minister him till forever: enduring

אָז אָמַר דָּוִיד לֹא לָשֵׂאת אֶת־אֲרוֹן הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִים כִּי אִם־הַלְוִיִּם כִּי־בָם ׀ בָּחַר יְהוָה לָשֵׂאת אֶת־אֲרוֹן יְהוָה וּֽלְשָׁרְתוֹ עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃

3 and to gather David [obj] all Israel to(wards) Jerusalem to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD to(wards) place his which to establish: prepare to/for him

וַיַּקְהֵל דָּוִיד אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְרֽוּשָׁלָ͏ִם לְהַעֲלוֹת אֶת־אֲרוֹן יְהוָה אֶל־מְקוֹמוֹ אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִין לֽוֹ׃

4 and to gather David [obj] son: descendant/people Aaron and [obj] [the] Levi

וַיֶּאֱסֹף דָּוִיד אֶת־בְּנֵי אֽ͏ַהֲרֹן וְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּֽם׃

5 to/for son: descendant/people Kohath Uriel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

לִבְנֵי קְהָת אוּרִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃

6 to/for son: descendant/people Merari Asaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and twenty

לִבְנֵי מְרָרִי עֲשָׂיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִֽים׃

7 to/for son: descendant/people Gershon Joel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and thirty

לִבְנֵי גֵּרְשׁוֹם יוֹאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃

8 to/for son: descendant/people Elizaphan Shemaiah [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred

לִבְנֵי אֱלִֽיצָפָן שְׁמַֽעְיָה הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מָאתָֽיִם׃

9 to/for son: descendant/people Hebron Eliel [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his eighty

לִבְנֵי חֶבְרוֹן אֱלִיאֵל הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו שְׁמוֹנִֽים׃

10 to/for son: descendant/people Uzziel Amminadab [the] ruler and brother: male-relative his hundred and two ten

לִבְנֵי עֻזִּיאֵל עַמִּינָדָב הַשָּׂר וְאֶחָיו מֵאָה וּשְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃

11 and to call: call to David to/for Zadok and to/for Abiathar [the] priest and to/for Levi to/for Uriel Asaiah and Joel Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab

וַיִּקְרָא דָוִיד לְצָדוֹק וּלְאֶבְיָתָר הַכֹּֽהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם לְאֽוּרִיאֵל עֲשָׂיָה וְיוֹאֵל שְׁמַֽעְיָה וֶאֱלִיאֵל וְעַמִּינָדָֽב׃

12 and to say to/for them you(m. p.) head: leader [the] father to/for Levi to consecrate: consecate you(m. p.) and brother: male-relative your and to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel to(wards) to establish: prepare to/for him

וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם אַתֶּם רָאשֵׁי הָאָבוֹת לַלְוִיִּם הִֽתְקַדְּשׁוּ אַתֶּם וַאֲחֵיכֶם וְהַֽעֲלִיתֶם אֵת אֲרוֹן יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־הֲכִינוֹתִי לֽוֹ׃

13 for to/for what? in/on/with first not you(m. p.) to break through LORD God our in/on/with us for not to seek him like/as justice: judgement

כִּי לְמַבָּרִאשׁוֹנָה לֹא אַתֶּם פָּרַץ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ בָּנוּ כִּי־לֹא דְרַשְׁנֻהוּ כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃

14 and to consecrate: consecate [the] priest and [the] Levi to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark LORD God Israel

וַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם לְהַעֲלוֹת אֶת־אֲרוֹן יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

15 and to lift: bear son: descendant/people [the] Levi [obj] ark [the] God like/as as which to command Moses like/as word LORD in/on/with shoulder their in/on/with yoke upon them

וַיִּשְׂאוּ בְנֵֽי־הַלְוִיִּם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָֽאֱלֹהִים כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה מֹשֶׁה כִּדְבַר יְהוָה בִּכְתֵפָם בַּמֹּטוֹת עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

16 and to say David to/for ruler [the] Levi to/for to stand: appoint [obj] brother: male-relative their [the] to sing in/on/with article/utensil song harp and lyre and cymbal to hear: proclaim to/for to exalt in/on/with voice: sound to/for joy

וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד לְשָׂרֵי הַלְוִיִּם לְהַֽעֲמִיד אֶת־אֲחֵיהֶם הַמְשֹׁרְרִים בִּכְלֵי־שִׁיר נְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרוֹת וּמְצִלְתָּיִם מַשְׁמִיעִים לְהָרִֽים־בְּקוֹל לְשִׂמְחָֽה׃

17 and to stand: appoint [the] Levi [obj] Heman son: child Joel and from brother: male-relative his Asaph son: child Berechiah and from son: child Merari brother: male-relative their Ethan son: child Kushaiah

וַיַּעֲמִידוּ הַלְוִיִּם אֵת הֵימָן בֶּן־יוֹאֵל וּמִן־אֶחָיו אָסָף בֶּן־בֶּֽרֶכְיָהוּ וּמִן־בְּנֵי מְרָרִי אֲחֵיהֶם אֵיתָן בֶּן־קֽוּשָׁיָֽהוּ׃

18 and with them brother: male-relative their [the] second Zechariah Ben and Jaaziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel [the] gatekeeper

וְעִמָּהֶם אֲחֵיהֶם הַמִּשְׁנִים זְכַרְיָהוּ בֵּן וְיַֽעֲזִיאֵל וּשְׁמֽ͏ִירָמוֹת וִיחִיאֵל ׀ וְעֻנִּי אֱלִיאָב וּבְנָיָהוּ וּמַֽעֲשֵׂיָהוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ וֶאֱלִיפְלֵהוּ וּמִקְנֵיָהוּ וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִֽיעִיאֵל הַשֹּׁעֲרִֽים׃

19 and [the] to sing Heman Asaph and Ethan in/on/with cymbal bronze to/for to hear: proclaim

וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים הֵימָן אָסָף וְאֵיתָן בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם נְחֹשֶׁת לְהַשְׁמִֽיעַ׃

20 and Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah in/on/with harp upon Alamoth

וּזְכַרְיָה וַעֲזִיאֵל וּשְׁמִֽירָמוֹת וִֽיחִיאֵל וְעֻנִּי וֽ͏ֶאֱלִיאָב וּמַעֲשֵׂיָהוּ וּבְנָיָהוּ בִּנְבָלִים עַל־עֲלָמֽוֹת׃

21 and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah in/on/with lyre upon [the] Sheminith to/for to conduct

וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ וֶאֱלִֽיפְלֵהוּ וּמִקְנֵיָהוּ וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִֽיעִיאֵל וַעֲזַזְיָהוּ בְּכִנֹּרוֹת עַל־הַשְּׁמִינִית לְנַצֵּֽחַ׃

22 and Chenaniah ruler [the] Levi in/on/with burden to discipline in/on/with burden for to understand he/she/it

וּכְנַנְיָהוּ שַֽׂר־הַלְוִיִּם בְּמַשָּׂא יָסֹר בַּמַּשָּׂא כִּי מֵבִין הֽוּא׃

23 and Berechiah and Elkanah gatekeeper to/for ark

וּבֶֽרֶכְיָה וְאֶלְקָנָה שֹׁעֲרִים לָאָרֽוֹן׃

24 and Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer [the] priest (to blow *Qk) in/on/with trumpet to/for face: before ark [the] God and Obed-edom Obed-edom and Jehiah gatekeeper to/for ark

וּשְׁבַנְיָהוּ וְיֽוֹשָׁפָט וּנְתַנְאֵל וַעֲמָשַׂי וּזְכַרְיָהוּ וּבְנָיָהוּ וֽ͏ֶאֱלִיעֶזֶר הַכֹּהֲנִים מחצצרים מַחְצְרִים בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹת לִפְנֵי אֲרוֹן הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִים וְעֹבֵד אֱדֹם וִֽיחִיָּה שֹׁעֲרִים לָאָרֽוֹן׃

25 and to be David and old: elder Israel and ruler [the] thousand [the] to go: went to/for to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD from house: home Obed-edom Obed-edom in/on/with joy

וַיְהִי דָוִיד וְזִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְשָׂרֵי הָאֲלָפִים הַהֹֽלְכִים לְֽהַעֲלוֹת אֶת־אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָה מִן־בֵּית עֹבֵֽד־אֱדֹם בְּשִׂמְחָֽה׃

26 and to be in/on/with to help [the] God [obj] [the] Levi to lift: bear ark covenant LORD and to sacrifice seven bullock and seven ram

וֽ͏ַיְהִי בֶּעְזֹר הֽ͏ָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם נֹשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָה וַיִּזְבְּחוּ שִׁבְעָֽה־פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִֽים׃

27 and David be clothed in/on/with robe fine linen and all [the] Levi [the] to lift: bear [obj] [the] ark and [the] to sing and Chenaniah [the] ruler [the] burden [the] to sing and upon David ephod linen

וְדָוִיד מְכֻרְבָּל ׀ בִּמְעִיל בּוּץ וְכָל־הַלְוִיִּם הַנֹּשְׂאִים אֶת־הָאָרוֹן וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וּכְנַנְיָה הַשַּׂר הַמַּשָּׂא הַמְשֹֽׁרְרִים וְעַל־דָּוִיד אֵפוֹד בָּֽד׃

28 and all Israel to ascend: establish [obj] ark covenant LORD in/on/with shout and in/on/with voice: sound trumpet and in/on/with trumpet and in/on/with cymbal to hear: proclaim in/on/with harp and lyre

וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מַעֲלִים אֶת־אֲרוֹן בְּרִית־יְהוָה בִּתְרוּעָה וּבְקוֹל שׁוֹפָר וּבַחֲצֹצְרוֹת וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם מַשְׁמִעִים בִּנְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרֽוֹת׃

29 and to be ark covenant LORD to come (in): come till city David and Michal daughter Saul to look about/through/for [the] window and to see: see [obj] [the] king David to skip about and to laugh and to despise to/for him in/on/with heart her

וַיְהִי אֲרוֹן בְּרִית יְהוָה בָּא עַד־עִיר דָּוִיד וּמִיכַל בַּת־שָׁאוּל נִשְׁקְפָה ׀ בְּעַד הַחַלּוֹן וַתֵּרֶא אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ דָּוִיד מְרַקֵּד וּמְשַׂחֵק וַתִּבֶז לוֹ בְּלִבָּֽהּ׃
