Romans 1
1 Paul a servant of Christ Jesus a called apostle set apart for [the] gospel of God,
Paulus, Knecht [O. Sklave; so auch später] Jesu Christi, berufener Apostel, abgesondert zum Evangelium Gottes
2 which He promised beforehand through the prophets of Him in [the] Scriptures Holy
[welches er durch seine Propheten in heiligen Schriften zuvor verheißen hat],
3 concerning the Son of Him, who having come of [the] seed of David according to flesh,
über seinen Sohn, [der aus dem Samen Davids gekommen [Eig. geworden] ist dem Fleische nach,
4 who having been declared Son of God in power according to [the] Spirit of holiness by resurrection [from the] dead, Jesus Christ the Lord of us,
und als Sohn Gottes in Kraft erwiesen [W. bestimmt] dem Geiste der Heiligkeit nach durch Totenauferstehung] Jesum Christum, unseren Herrn,
5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship unto obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of the name of Him,
[durch welchen wir Gnade und Apostelamt [Eig. Apostelschaft] empfangen haben für seinen Namen zum Glaubensgehorsam unter allen Nationen,
6 among whom are also you yourselves called of Jesus Christ;
unter welchen auch ihr seid, Berufene Jesu Christi] -
7 To all those being in Rome beloved of God to [those] called saints: Grace to you and peace from God [the] Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
allen Geliebten Gottes, berufenen Heiligen, die in Rom sind: Gnade euch und Friede von Gott, unserem Vater, und dem Herrn Jesu Christus!
8 First indeed I thank the God of mine through Jesus Christ (for *N+kO) all of you because the faith of you is being proclaimed in all the world;
Aufs erste danke ich meinem Gott durch Jesum Christum euer aller halben, daß euer Glaube verkündigt wird in der ganzen Welt.
9 Witness for me is God, whom I serve in the spirit of mine in the gospel of the Son of Him, how unceasingly mention of you I make always upon the prayers of mine
Denn Gott ist mein Zeuge, welchem ich diene in meinem Geiste in dem Evangelium seines Sohnes, wie unablässig ich euer erwähne,
10 imploring, if somehow now at last I will succeed by the will of God to come to you;
allezeit flehend bei meinen Gebeten, ob ich nun endlich einmal durch den Willen Gottes so glücklich sein möchte, zu euch zu kommen.
11 I long for to see you, that some I may impart gift to you spiritual to the strengthening of you,
Denn mich verlangt sehr, euch zu sehen, auf daß ich euch etwas geistliche Gnadengabe mitteilte, um euch zu befestigen,
12 that now is to be encouraged together among you through the among one another faith of you both and of me.
das ist aber, mit euch getröstet zu werden in eurer Mitte, ein jeder durch den Glauben, der in dem anderen ist, sowohl euren als meinen.
13 Not I do want now you to be ignorant, brothers, that many times I purposed to come to you and was hindered until the present, that some fruit I may have also among you even as even among the other Gentiles.
Ich will aber nicht, daß euch unbekannt sei, Brüder, daß ich mir oft vorgesetzt habe, zu euch zu kommen [und bis jetzt verhindert worden bin], auf daß ich auch unter euch einige Frucht haben möchte, gleichwie auch unter den übrigen Nationen.
14 To Greeks both and to barbarians, to [the] wise both and to [the] foolish a debtor I am;
Sowohl Griechen als Barbaren, [S. die Anm. zu Apg. 28,2] sowohl Weisen als Unverständigen bin ich ein Schuldner.
15 Thus as to me myself [there is] readiness also to you who [are] in Rome to evangelise.
Ebenso [O. Also] bin ich, soviel an mir ist, bereitwillig, auch euch, die ihr in Rom seid, das Evangelium zu verkündigen.
16 Not for I am ashamed of the gospel (of the Christ; *K) [the] power for of God it is unto salvation to everyone who is believing — to Jew both first and to Greek.
Denn ich schäme mich des Evangeliums nicht, denn es ist Gottes Kraft zum Heil jedem Glaubenden, sowohl dem Juden zuerst als auch dem Griechen.
17 [The] righteousness for of God in it is revealed from faith to faith even as it has been written: And the righteous by faith will live.
Denn Gottes Gerechtigkeit wird darin geoffenbart aus Glauben [O. auf dem Grundsatz des Glaubens; so auch nachher] zu Glauben, wie geschrieben steht: "Der Gerechte aber wird aus Glauben leben". [Hab. 2,4]
18 Is revealed for [the] wrath of God from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men the truth by unrighteousness suppressing,
Denn es wird geoffenbart Gottes Zorn vom Himmel her über alle Gottlosigkeit und Ungerechtigkeit der Menschen, welche die Wahrheit in Ungerechtigkeit besitzen; [And.: aufhalten]
19 because the known of God manifest is among them; God for to them has revealed [it].
weil das von Gott Erkennbare unter [O. in] ihnen offenbar ist, denn Gott hat es ihnen geoffenbart, -
20 The for invisible qualities of Him from [the] creation of [the] world by the things made being understood are clearly seen, the both eternal of Him power and divinity, for to be them without excuse. (aïdios g126)
denn das Unsichtbare von ihm, sowohl seine ewige Kraft als auch seine Göttlichkeit, die von Erschaffung der Welt an in dem Gemachten wahrgenommen [O. erkannt, mit dem Verstande ergriffen] werden, wird geschaut-damit sie ohne Entschuldigung seien; (aïdios g126)
21 For having known God not as God they glorified [Him] or were thankful, but they became futile in the thinking of them, and was darkened the foolish of them heart;
weil sie, Gott kennend, [Eig. erkannt habend; so auch v 32] ihn weder als Gott verherrlichten, noch ihm Dank darbrachten, sondern in ihren Überlegungen in Torheit verfielen, und ihr unverständiges Herz verfinstert wurde:
22 Professing to be wise they became fools
indem sie sich für Weise ausgaben, sind sie zu Narren geworden
23 and they changed the glory of the immortal God into a likeness of an image of mortal man and birds and quadrupeds and creeping things.
und haben die Herrlichkeit des unverweslichen Gottes verwandelt in das Gleichnis eines Bildes von einem verweslichen Menschen und von Vögeln und von vierfüßigen und kriechenden Tieren.
24 Therefore (and *k) gave up them God in the desires of the hearts of them to impurity to dishonor the bodies of them between (themselves, *N+kO)
Darum hat Gott sie auch dahingegeben in den Gelüsten ihrer Herzen in Unreinigkeit, ihre Leiber untereinander zu schänden;
25 who changed the truth of God into the falsehood, and they reverenced and they served the created thing beyond the [One] having created [it], who is blessed to the ages! Amen. (aiōn g165)
welche die Wahrheit Gottes in die Lüge verwandelt und dem Geschöpf mehr Verehrung und Dienst [O. Gottesdienst] dargebracht haben als dem Schöpfer, welcher gepriesen ist in Ewigkeit. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Because of this gave up them God to passions of dishonor; Even for females of them changed the natural use into that contrary to nature,
Deswegen hat Gott sie dahingegeben in schändliche Leidenschaften; denn sowohl ihre Weiber [W. Weiblichen] haben den natürlichen Gebrauch in den unnatürlichen verwandelt,
27 Likewise then also the males having left the natural use of the female were inflamed in the desire of them toward one another, males with males the shame working out, and the recompense which was fitting of the error of them in themselves receiving.
als auch gleicherweise die Männer, [W. Männlichen; so auch weiter in diesem Verse] den natürlichen Gebrauch des Weibes verlassend, in ihrer Wollust zueinander entbrannt sind, indem sie Männer mit Männern Schande trieben und den gebührenden Lohn ihrer Verirrung an sich selbst empfingen.
28 And even as not they did see fit God to have in [their] knowledge, gave up them God to a depraved mind to do the [things] not being proper,
Und gleichwie sie es nicht für gut fanden, Gott in Erkenntnis zu haben, hat Gott sie dahingegeben in einen verworfenen Sinn, zu tun, was sich nicht geziemt;
29 filled with all unrighteousness (sexual immorality *K) wickedness, covetousness, malice, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness, gossips
erfüllt mit aller Ungerechtigkeit, Bosheit, Habsucht, [O. Gier] Schlechtigkeit; voll von Neid, Mord, Streit, List, Tücke;
30 slanderers, hateful to God, insolent arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, to parents disobedient,
Ohrenbläser, Verleumder, Gottverhaßte, Gewalttäter, Hochmütige, Prahler, Erfinder böser Dinge, Eltern Ungehorsame,
31 foolish, untrustworthy, heartless (implacable, *K) unmerciful,
Unverständige, Treulose, ohne natürliche Liebe, Unbarmherzige;
32 who the righteous decree of God having known that those such things doing worthy of death are, not only them they are practicing but also they are approving of those practicing [them].
die, wiewohl sie Gottes gerechtes Urteil [Eig. Gottes Rechtsforderung, das was Gottes gerechter Wille fordert] erkennen, daß, die solches tun, des Todes würdig sind, es nicht allein ausüben, sondern auch Wohlgefallen an denen haben, die es tun.
