< Romans 4 >

1 What then will we say to have discovered Abraham the (ancestor *N+KO) of us according to [the] flesh?
Ania ngarud iti ibagatayo a natakkuatan ni Abraham, nga ammaentayo segun iti lasag?
2 If for Abraham by works was justified, he has ground of boasting but not toward God.
Ta no napalinteg ni Abraham babaen dagiti ar-aramid, addaan koma isuna iti rason nga agpasindayag, ngem saan nga iti sangoanan ti Dios.
3 What for the Scripture says? Believed then Abraham in God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
Ta ania iti ibagbaga ti Nasantoan a Surat? “Pinati ni Abraham ti Dios, ket naibilang kenkuana daytoy a kas kinalinteg.”
4 To the [one] now working the reward not is reckoned according to grace but according to debt;
Ita para kenkuana nga agtrabtrabaho, saan a naibilang a kas parabur ti tangdan, ngem kas nateggedan.
5 To the [one] however not working, believing however on the [One] justifying the ungodly, is reckoned the faith of him for righteousness.
Ngem para kenkuana a saan nga agtrabtrabaho ngem ketdi mamati iti daydiay mangpalpalinteg iti saan a nadiosan, naibilang ti pammatina a kas kinalinteg.
6 just as also David declares the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Ibagbaga met ni David ti kinagasat ti tao nga ibilbilang ti Dios a nalinteg uray awan ti ar-aramidna.
7 Blessed [are] they of whom are forgiven the lawless deeds and of whom are covered the sins;
Kinunana, “Nagasat dagiti napakawan dagiti basbasolda, ken nakalluban dagiti basbasolda.
8 blessed [is] [the] man (of whom *N+kO) certainly not may reckon [the] Lord sin.
Nagasat ti tao a saanto nga ibilang ti Apo ti basolna.”
9 [Is] the blessing then this on the circumcision or also on the uncircumcision? We are saying for (that: *k) was credited to Abraham the faith as righteousness.
Naibalikas laeng kadi ngarud daytoy a bendision kadagiti adda iti pannakakugit, wenno kasta met kadagiti awan iti pannakakugit? Ta ibagatayo, “Pammati ti nakaibilang kenni Abraham iti kinalinteg.”
10 How then was it credited? In circumcision being or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision but in uncircumcision;
Isu a kasano a naibilang daytoy? Idi adda ni Abraham iti pannakakugit wenno idi awan iti pannakakugit? Saan nga iti pannakakugit ngem iti saan a pannakakugit.
11 And [the] sign he received of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith that [he had] [while] in the uncircumcision; for the to be him father of all those believing in uncircumcision, for to be credited also to them the righteousness,
Inawat ni Abraham ti pagilasinan ti pannakakugit. Daytoy ket selyo iti kinalinteg ti pammati a natagikuanan idi awan pay iti pannakakugit. Ti nagbanagan daytoy a pagilasinan ket nagbalin isuna nga ama dagiti amin a mamati, uray pay no addada iti saan a pannakakugit. Kayat a sawen a maibilangto ti kinalinteg para kadakuada.
12 and father of circumcision to those not of circumcision only but also to those walking in the steps during (the *k) uncircumcision (of the *k) faith of the father of us Abraham.
Kayat pay a sawen a nagbalin ni Abraham nga ama ti pannakakugit para kadagiti umay a saan laeng a kadagiti nagtaud iti pannakakugit, ngem kasta met kadagiti sumurot kadagiti addang ni amatayo nga Abraham. Ket daytoy ti pammati nga adda kenkuana idi awan pay iti pannakakugit.
13 Not for through [the] Law [was] the promise to Abraham or to the descendants of him that heir he being (of the *k) world but through [the] righteousness of faith.
Ta saan a babaen iti linteg a naited ti kari kenni Abraham ken kadagiti kaputotanna, daytoy a kari nga agbalindanto a tagatawid ti lubong. Ngem ketdi, babaen iti kinalinteg ti pammati.
14 If for those of [the] Law [are] heirs, has been made void faith and has been nullified the promise;
Ta no tagatawid dagiti adda iti linteg, nagbalinen nga awan serserbi ti pammati, ken awan metten ti nagmamaayan ti kari.
15 For law wrath brings; where (now *N+kO) no there is law, neither [is] transgression.
Ta iyeg ti linteg ti pungtot, ngem no sadino ti awan linteg, awan met ti saan a panagtulnog.
16 Therefore it [is] of faith, that [it may be] according to grace, for to be sure the promise to all the seed, not to that of the law only but also to that of [the] faith of Abraham, who is [the] father of all of us —
Ta gapu iti daytoy, mapasamak daytoy babaen iti pammati, tapno mapasamak koma daytoy babaen iti parabur. Kas pagbanaganna, awan duadua iti kari para kadagiti amin a kaputotan. Ket karaman dagitoy a kaputotan saan laeng dagiti makaaammo ti linteg, ngem kasta met dagiti nagtaud iti pammati ni Abraham. Ta isuna ti Amatayo amin,
17 even as it has been written that A father of many nations I have made you, before whom he believed God, who is giving life to the dead and calling the [things] not [into] being as existing;
a kas naisurat, “Inaramidka nga ama iti adu a pagilian.” Adda ni Abraham iti presensiana a nagtalkanna, dayta ti Dios, a mangmangted iti biag kadagiti natay ken mangpaadda kadagiti banbanag nga awan.
18 who against hope in hope believed for to become him [the] father of many nations according to that spoken; So will be the offspring of you;
Uray pay adda dagiti saan a nasayaat a paspasamak, sitatalged a nagtalek ni Abraham iti Dios para iti masakbayan. Isu a nagbalin isuna nga Ama ti adu a pagilian, segun iti naibaga, “... Kas met kadagiti kaputotamto.”
19 And not having become weak in the faith (not *K) he considered his own body already expired, a hundred years old about being, and the lifelessness of the womb of Sarah,
Saan isuna a nakapuy iti pammati. Binigbig ni Abraham a natayen ti bagina—agarup sangagasut ti tawenna. Binigbigna met ti kinaawan serserbi ti aanakan ni Sarah.
20 About however the promise of God not he did waver through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God
Ngem gapu iti kari ti Dios, saan a nagsarimadeng iti saan a panamati ni Abraham. Ngem ketdi, napapigsa iti pammatina ken nangted iti pammadayaw iti Dios.
21 and having been fully assured that what He has promised able He is also to do;
Siaanay a naallukoy isuna a kabaelanna met nga ileppas ti inkari iti Dios.
22 Therefore also it was credited to him unto righteousness.
Naibilang met ngarud kenkuana daytoy a kas kinalinteg.
23 Not it was written now on account of him alone that it was credited to him,
Ita, saan laeng a naisurat daytoy para iti pagsayaatanna, naibilang daytoy para kenkuana.
24 but also on account of us to whom it is about to be credited, to those believing on the [One] having raised Jesus the Lord of us out from [the] dead,
Naisurat met daytoy a para kadatayo, nga imbilang iti Dios a nalinteg, datayo a mamati kenkuana a nangpagungar kenni Jesus nga Apotayo manipud patay.
25 who was delivered over for the trespasses of us and was raised for the justification of us.
Daytoy ti naiyawat a para kadagiti basbasoltayo ken napagungar para iti pannakapalintegtayo.
