< Romans 4 >

1 What then will we say to have discovered Abraham the (ancestor *N(K)O*) of us according to [the] flesh?
Tabang ahile eite i pa Abraham thu bangbang son tu hi ziam, cilesa taw kisai bang mu ziam?
2 If for Abraham by works was justified, he has ground of boasting but not toward (*k*) God.
Banghangziam cile Abraham sia a sepna te hang in thutang suana nga ahile, ki suantak natu nei hi; ahihang Pathian mai ah hi ngawl hi.
3 What for the Scripture says? Believed then Abraham in God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
Banghangziam cile laithiangtho in bang hong ci ziam? Abraham in Pathian um a, tua a upna sia thutang suana in ceptesak hi.
4 To the [one] now working the reward not is reckoned according to grace but according to (*k*) debt;
Tu in naseam khat sia a sep thaman sang hi a, hesuakna ci in ngaisut tu hi ngawl zaw a, a leibat hi zaw hi.
5 To the [one] however not working, believing however on the [One] justifying the ungodly, is reckoned the faith of him for righteousness.
Ahihang a seam ngawl khat sia Pathian nei ngawl te thutangsakpa a up uh hu in, tua a upna sia thutang suana in ceptesak hi.
6 just as also David declares the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
Pathian in sepna kihel ngawl napi, mi thutang in a cepte mi khat i thupha sang ahina thu sia David in a sonna ah,
7 Blessed [are] they of whom are forgiven the lawless deeds and of whom are covered the sins;
A phatngawl nate maisak na le, a mawna te a ki phualsealsak te sia mihing thuphatoai te a hihi.
8 blessed [is] [the] man (of whom *N(k)O*) certainly not may reckon [the] Lord sin.
Topa i a mawsak ngawl pa sia thuphatoai a hihi, ci hi.
9 [Is] the blessing then this on the circumcision or also on the uncircumcision? We are saying for (that: *k*) was credited to Abraham the faith as righteousness.
Hi thupha sia vunteap tan te tung bek ah ahi ziam, a hibale, vunteap tan ngawl te tung zong a theng veve ziam? banghangziam cile, Abraham i a upna sia thutang suana in ceptesak hi, i ci hi.
10 How then was it credited? In circumcision being or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision but in uncircumcision;
Tabang hile bangbang in ceptesak ziam? vunteap a tan zawkciang ziam maw, a hibale vunteap a tan ma ziam? Vunteap a tan zawkciang hi ngawl hi, ahihang vunteap a tan ma hi zaw hi.
11 And [the] sign he received of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith that [he had] [while] in the uncircumcision; for the to be him father of all those believing in uncircumcision, for to be credited also to them the righteousness,
Abraham in vunteap tan taw ceptena sang hi, tua thu sia vunteap a tan ma in a neisa upna hang in thutang suana kipsakna a hihi: tabang in vunteap tan ngawl te ahizong a um theampo te i Pa ahi thei natu le vunteap tan ngawl te zong a upna uh thutang suana in a ceptesak thei natu a hihi:
12 and father of circumcision to those not of circumcision only but also to those walking in the steps during (the *k*) uncircumcision (of the *k*) faith of the father of us Abraham.
Taciang ama sia vunteap a tan te i Pa bek hi ngawl in, eite i Pa Abraham in vunteap a tan ma in a neisa upna khaw-ni a zui te i Pa zong a hihi.
13 Not for through [the] Law [was] the promise to Abraham or to the descendants of him that heir he being (of the *k*) world but through [the] righteousness of faith.
Banghangziam cile Abraham le a suan a pal te leitung ngamhlua tu in a kamciam sia thukham taw hi ngawl hi, ahihang upna i thutang suana tungtawn a hihi.
14 If for those of [the] Law [are] heirs, has been made void faith and has been nullified the promise;
Banghangziam cile thukham a zui te ngamhlua te ahile, upna sia mannei ngawl suak hi, taciang kamciam zong mannung ngawl hong suak hi:
15 For law wrath brings; where (now *N(k)O*) no there is law, neither [is] transgression.
Banghangziam cile thukham in Pathian thin-ukna piangsak hi: banghangziam cile thukham om ngawl na mun ah, thukham palsat na om ngawl hi.
16 Therefore it [is] of faith, that [it may be] according to grace, for to be sure the promise to all the seed, not to that of the law only but also to that of [the] faith of Abraham, who is [the] father of all of us —
Tua ahikom in kamciam sia hesuakna hang in, upna tungtawn in i nga hi; ci sia a suan le pal theampo in a tawpdong a telthiang thei natu a hihi; tasia sia thukham a zui te bek hi ngawl in, Abraham bang in upna nei te zong kihel hi; banghangziam cile Abraham sia eite theampo i Pa a hihi,
17 even as it has been written that A father of many nations I have made you, before whom he believed God, who is giving life to the dead and calling the [things] not [into] being as existing;
Minam tampi te i Pa in kong vawt zo hi, ci a ki atsa bang in, Abraham sia, mithi te a thokiksak, a om ngawl lai nate a omsa bang in a son, a up Pathian mai ah eite theampo i Pa a hihi.
18 who against hope in hope believed for to become him [the] father of many nations according to that spoken; So will be the offspring of you;
Na suan le pal te sia tabang in hi tu hi, ci a son bang in, minam tampi te i Pa hi tu lam-et om ngawl napi, upna taw lam-etna nei nginge hi.
19 And not having become weak in the faith (not *K*) he considered his own body already expired, a hundred years old about being, and the lifelessness of the womb of Sarah,
A upna thaneam ngawl ahikom, Abraham sia kum zakhat kiim a phak ciang in, ama pumpi le Sarah i sul sia a thisa bang in ngaisun ngawl hi:
20 About however the promise of God not he did waver through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God
Pathian kamciam muangla ngawl in, a upna thahat ahikom, Pathian pokna pia hi;
21 and having been fully assured that what He has promised able He is also to do;
Pathian in kamciam a piak na bang in vawt thei hi, ci um ngam takpi hi.
22 Therefore also it was credited to him unto righteousness.
Tua ahikom a upna sia Pathian in thutang suana in ceptesak hi.
23 Not it was written now on account of him alone that it was credited to him,
Tu in hi upna thutang suana in a ceptesak sia, ama atu bek in a ki at hi ngawl hi;
24 but also on account of us to whom it is about to be credited, to those believing on the [One] having raised Jesus the Lord of us out from [the] dead,
Ahihang eite i Topa Jesus Christ thina pan a thokiksak sia i um ahile, eite atu zong thutang suana in hong ceptesak tu hi;
25 who was delivered over for the trespasses of us and was raised for the justification of us.
Eite mawna hang in ki ap a, eite thutang suaksak tu in thina pan ki thokiksak hi.
