Numbers 14
1 And it lifted up all the congregation and they gave forth voice their and they wept the people in the night that.
ആ രാത്രി ഇസ്രായേൽസഭ മുഴുവനും ശബ്ദം ഉയർത്തി ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞു;
2 And they grumbled on Moses and on Aaron all [the] people of Israel and they said to them all the congregation if we had died in [the] land of Egypt or in the wilderness this if we had died.
സകല ഇസ്രായേല്യരും മോശയ്ക്കും അഹരോനും എതിരായി പിറുപിറുത്തു; സർവസഭയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “ഞങ്ങൾ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽവെച്ചു മരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ! അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മരുഭൂമിയിൽത്തന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ മരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ!
3 And why? [is] Yahweh bringing us into the land this to fall by the sword wives our and little one[s] our they will become plunder ¿ not good for us [is] to return Egypt towards.
ഞങ്ങൾ വാളിനാൽ വീഴാനായി യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളെ ഈ ദേശത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നതെന്തിന്? ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും കുട്ടികളും കൊള്ളയായി പിടിക്കപ്പെടാൻ പോകുന്നു. ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്കു തിരികെപ്പോകുന്നതല്ലേ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നല്ലത്?”
4 And they said each to brother his let us appoint a leader and let us return Egypt towards.
“നമുക്ക് ഒരു നായകനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് ഈജിപ്റ്റിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിപ്പോകാം,” അവർ പരസ്പരം പറഞ്ഞു.
5 And he fell Moses and Aaron on faces their before all [the] assembly of [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel.
അപ്പോൾ മോശയും അഹരോനും അവിടെ കൂടിയിരുന്ന ഇസ്രായേൽസഭയിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സർവരുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ കമിഴ്ന്നുവീണു.
6 And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh one of those [who] spied out the land they tore clothes their.
ദേശം പര്യവേക്ഷണംചെയ്യാൻ പോയവരിൽ നൂന്റെ മകൻ യോശുവയും യെഫുന്നയുടെ മകൻ കാലേബും തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രംകീറി
7 And they said to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] good the land very very.
സർവ ഇസ്രായേൽസഭയോടും പറഞ്ഞു: “ഞങ്ങൾ സഞ്ചരിച്ച് പര്യവേക്ഷണംചെയ്ത ദേശം ഏറ്റവും നല്ലത്.
8 If he delights in us Yahweh and he will bring us into the land this and he will give it to us a land which it [is] flowing of milk and honey.
യഹോവ നമ്മിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ, അവിടന്ന് പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ആ ദേശത്തേക്കു നമ്മെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്ന് അതു നമുക്കു തരും.
9 Only against Yahweh may not you rebel and you may not you fear [the] people of the land for [will be] bread our they it has departed shade their from over them and Yahweh [is] with us may not you fear them.
യഹോവയോടു മത്സരിക്കുകമാത്രം അരുത്. ആ ദേശത്തുള്ള ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടരുത്, അവർ നമുക്കിരയാകും. അവരുടെ സുരക്ഷ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം ഉണ്ട്. അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടരുത്.”
10 And they said all the congregation to stone them with stones and [the] glory of Yahweh it appeared at [the] tent of meeting to all [the] people of Israel.
എന്നാൽ യോശുവയെയും കാലേബിനെയും കല്ലെറിയണമെന്നു സർവസഭയും പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിൽ സർവ ഇസ്രായേല്യർക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി.
11 And he said Yahweh to Moses until when? will they spurn me the people this and until when? not will they believe in me with all the signs which I did in midst its.
യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “ഈ ജനം എത്രനാൾ എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കും? ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച സകല അത്ഭുതചിഹ്നങ്ങളും കണ്ടിട്ടും അവർ എത്രനാൾ എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരിക്കും?
12 I will strike it with pestilence and I will dispossess it and I may make you a nation great and mighty more than it.
ഞാൻ അവരെ ഒരു ബാധയാൽ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ച്, സംഹരിച്ചു നശിപ്പിക്കും. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അവരിലും വലിയതും ശക്തവുമായ ഒരു ജനതയാക്കും.”
13 And he said Moses to Yahweh and they will hear Egypt that you brought up by strength your the people this from midst its.
മോശ യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “എന്നാൽ ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ എന്താണു ചിന്തിക്കുക! അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയാൽ അങ്ങ് ഈ ജനത്തെ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
14 And they will say to [the] inhabitant[s] of the land this they have heard that you O Yahweh [are] in [the] midst of the people this who eye in eye he was seen - you O Yahweh and cloud your [is] standing over them and in a pillar of cloud you [are] going before them by day and in a pillar of fire night.
അവിടന്ന് ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ ജനത്തെ നശിപ്പിച്ചാൽ, ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ ഈ ദേശവാസികളോട് ഇക്കാര്യം പറയും. യഹോവയായ അങ്ങ് ഈ ജനത്തോടൊപ്പം ഉണ്ടെന്നും അവർ അങ്ങയെ അഭിമുഖമായിക്കണ്ടുവെന്നും അവർ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്; കാരണം, അങ്ങയുടെ മേഘം അവരുടെ മുകളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു, പകൽ മേഘസ്തംഭത്തിലും രാത്രി അഗ്നിസ്തംഭത്തിലും അങ്ങ് അവർക്കുമുമ്പായി പോകുന്നു.
15 And you will put to death the people this like a person one and they will say the nations which they have heard report your saying.
അവിടന്ന് ഈ ജനത്തെ ഒന്നിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചാൽ, അങ്ങയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഈ വർത്തമാനം കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ജനം പറയും:
16 Because not was able Yahweh to bring the people this into the land which he swore to them and he has slaughtered them in the wilderness.
‘യഹോവ ശപഥംചെയ്ത്, വാഗ്ദാനംകൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്ക് ഈ ജനത്തെ കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ അവിടത്തേക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതിനാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.’
17 And therefore may it be great please [the] power of [the] Lord just as you have spoken saying.
“അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതുപോലെ അവിടത്തെ ശക്തി വലുതാണെന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്താൻ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോടപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
18 Yahweh [is] long of anger and great of covenant loyalty forgiving iniquity and transgression and certainly not he will leave unpunished visiting [the] iniquity of parents on [the] children on a third generation and on a fourth generation.
‘യഹോവ ക്ഷമാശീലനും സ്നേഹസമ്പന്നനും അകൃത്യവും ലംഘനവും ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു. എങ്കിലും അവിടന്ന് കുറ്റംചെയ്തവരെ വെറുതേവിടാതെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിനു മക്കളെ മൂന്നും നാലും തലമുറവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു.’
19 Forgive please [the] iniquity of the people this according to [the] greatness of covenant loyalty your and just as you have forgiven the people this from Egypt and until now.
അങ്ങയുടെ മഹാ ദയനിമിത്തം ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട സമയംമുതൽ ഇപ്പോൾവരെ അവരോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ.”
20 And he said Yahweh I have forgiven [them] according to word your.
അതിനു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “നീ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അവരോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
21 And but [by] [the] life of me so may be filled [with the] glory of Yahweh all the earth.
എങ്കിലും, ജീവനുള്ള ഞാൻ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നു, ഭൂമി മുഴുവൻ യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു,
22 For all the men who saw glory my and signs my which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness and they have put to [the] test me this ten times and not they have listened to voice my.
എന്റെ തേജസ്സും ഞാൻ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലും മരുഭൂമിയിലും പ്രവർത്തിച്ച അത്ഭുതചിഹ്നങ്ങളും ദർശിച്ചിട്ട് എന്നെ പത്തുപ്രാവശ്യം പരീക്ഷിക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്ക് അനുസരിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരിൽ ആരും
23 If they will see the land which I swore to ancestors their and all [those who] have spurned me not they will see it.
അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു ഞാൻ നൽകുമെന്നു ശപഥംചെയ്ത ദേശം കാണുകയില്ല. എന്നെ നിന്ദിച്ചവരിൽ ആരും ഒരിക്കലും അതു കാണുകയില്ല.
24 And servant my Caleb consequence it has been a spirit another with him and he has filled after me and I will bring him into the land where he went there and offspring his it will take possession of it.
എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദാസനായ കാലേബിനു വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ഒരു ആത്മാവുള്ളതിനാലും എന്നെ പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടെ പിൻപറ്റുന്നതിനാലും അവൻ പോയ ദേശത്തേക്കു ഞാൻ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവന്റെ സന്തതികൾ അത് അവകാശമാക്കും.
25 And the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [was] dwelling in the valley[s] tomorrow turn and set out for yourselves the wilderness [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s].
അമാലേക്യരും കനാന്യരും താഴ്വരയിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതിനാൽ, നാളെ നിങ്ങൾ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞ് ചെങ്കടലിലേക്കുള്ള മാർഗത്തിലൂടെ മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്ക് യാത്രപുറപ്പെടുക.”
26 And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
യഹോവ മോശയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:
27 Until when? to the congregation the evil this which they [are] grumbling on me [the] grumblings of [the] people of Israel which they [are] grumbling on me I have heard.
“ഈ ദുഷ്ടസമൂഹം എനിക്കെതിരേ എത്രത്തോളം പിറുപിറുക്കും? ഈ പിറുപിറുപ്പുകാരായ ഇസ്രായേല്യരുടെ പരാതികൾ ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
28 Say to them [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of Yahweh if not just as you have spoken in ears my so I will do to you.
ആകയാൽ, ‘ഞാൻ കേൾക്കെ നിങ്ങൾ പിറുപിറുത്തതുപോലെതന്നെ നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാൻ ചെയ്യും; ജീവനുള്ള ഞാൻ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നു, എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതായി അവരോടു പറയുക.
29 In the wilderness this they will fall corpses your and all enrolled [men] your of all number your from a son of twenty year[s] and up-wards who you have grumbled on me.
ഈ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ വീഴും—നിങ്ങളിൽ ഇരുപതോ അതിലധികമോ വയസ്സു പ്രായമുള്ളവരായി ജനസംഖ്യയിൽ എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടവരും എനിക്കെതിരേ പിറുപിറുത്തവരുമായ ഏവരുംതന്നെ.
30 If you you will go into the land which I lifted up hand my to cause to dwell you in it that except Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh and Joshua [the] son of Nun.
നിങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിക്കാമെന്നു ഞാൻ കൈ ഉയർത്തി ശപഥംചെയ്ത ദേശത്ത് യെഫുന്നയുടെ മകൻ കാലേബും നൂന്റെ മകൻ യോശുവയും ഒഴികെ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരാൾപോലും കടക്കുകയില്ല.
31 And little one[s] your who you said plunder he will become and I will bring them and they will know the land which you have rejected it.
കൊള്ളയായിപ്പോകുമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ ഞാൻ അവിടെ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ തിരസ്കരിച്ച ദേശം അവർ അനുഭവിക്കും.
32 And corpses your you they will fall in the wilderness this.
എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളോ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വീഴും.
33 And children your they will be shepherds in the wilderness forty year[s] and they will bear prostitution your until are finished corpses your in the wilderness.
നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ അവിശ്വസ്തതനിമിത്തം കഷ്ടതയനുഭവിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, നിങ്ങളുടെ ശവങ്ങളിൽ അവസാനത്തേതും ഈ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വീഴുന്നതുവരെ, ഇവിടെ നാൽപ്പതുവർഷം ഇടയന്മാരായിരിക്കും.
34 By [the] number of the days which you spied out the land forty day[s] a day for the year a day for the year you will bear iniquities your forty year[s] and you will know opposition my.
നിങ്ങൾ ദേശം പര്യവേക്ഷണംചെയ്ത നാൽപ്പതു ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോന്നിനും ഓരോ വർഷം എന്ന കണക്കിനു നാൽപ്പതുവർഷം നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾ കഷ്ടത അനുഭവിക്കുകയും അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ എതിർപ്പ് അറിയുകയും ചെയ്യും.’
35 I Yahweh I have spoken if not - this I will do to all the congregation the evil this which has gathered on me in the wilderness this they will meet their end and there they will die.
യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എനിക്കെതിരേ ഒത്തുകൂടിയ ഈ ദുഷ്ടസമൂഹത്തോടെല്ലാം ഞാൻ ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യും. ഈ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ അവർ ഒടുങ്ങും; ഇവിടെ അവർ മരിക്കും.”
36 And the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and they returned (and they caused to grumble *QK) on him all the congregation by bringing out a bad report on the land.
അങ്ങനെ ദേശം പര്യവേക്ഷണംചെയ്യാൻ മോശ അയച്ചവരും—മടങ്ങിവന്ന് അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അരുതാത്ത വർത്തമാനം പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെതിരേ സഭമുഴുവനും പിറുപിറുക്കാൻ ഇടയാക്കിയവരുമായവർ—
37 And they died the men [who] brought out [the] unfavorable report of the land evil by plague before Yahweh.
ദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അരുതാത്ത വർത്തമാനം പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചതിന് ഉത്തരവാദികളായവരുമായ ഈ പുരുഷന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ഒരു ബാധയാൽ സംഹരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
38 And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh they lived of the men those who went to spy out the land.
ദേശം പര്യവേക്ഷണംചെയ്യാൻ പോയ പുരുഷന്മാരിൽ നൂന്റെ മകൻ യോശുവയും യെഫുന്നയുടെ മകൻ കാലേബുംമാത്രം ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിച്ചു.
39 And he spoke Moses the words these to all [the] people of Israel and they mourned the people exceedingly.
മോശ ഇക്കാര്യം സകല ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടും അറിയിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവർ അതികഠിനമായി വിലപിച്ചു.
40 And they rose early in the morning and they went up to [the] top of the hill country saying here [are] we and we will go up to the place which he said Yahweh that we have sinned.
“ഞങ്ങൾ പാപംചെയ്തു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്ത സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കയറിച്ചെല്ലാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ തയ്യാറാണ്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് അടുത്തദിവസം അതിരാവിലെ അവർ ഉയർന്ന മലമ്പ്രദേശത്തേക്കു കയറിപ്പോയി.
41 And he said Moses why? this [are] you transgressing [the] mouth of Yahweh and it not it will succeed.
എന്നാൽ മോശ പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിന് യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പന ലംഘിക്കുന്നു? ഇതു വിജയിക്കുകയില്ല!
42 May not you go up for not Yahweh [will be] in midst your and not you will be defeated before enemies your.
കയറിപ്പോകരുത്; കാരണം യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെയില്ല. ശത്രുക്കളുടെമുമ്പിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പരാജയപ്പെടും,
43 For the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [are] there before you and you will fall by the sword for since you have turned back from after Yahweh and not he will be Yahweh with you.
അമാലേക്യരും കനാന്യരും നിങ്ങളെ നേരിടും. യഹോവയിൽനിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു പോയിരിക്കുകയാൽ, അവിടന്ന് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല, നിങ്ങൾ വാളാൽ വീണുപോകും.”
44 And they presumed to go up to [the] top of the hill country and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh and Moses not they departed from [the] midst of the camp.
എങ്കിലും മോശയോ യഹോവയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകമോ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്നും പുറപ്പെടാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ ധിക്കാരപൂർവം മലമുകളിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെന്നു.
45 And he came down the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in the hill country that and they struck them and they scattered them to Hormah.
അപ്പോൾ ആ മലകളിൽ അധിവസിച്ചിരുന്ന അമാലേക്യരും കനാന്യരും ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന് ആക്രമിച്ച് ഹോർമാവരെ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.
