Matthew 5
1 Having seen then the crowds He went up on the mountain, and when was sitting down He they came to Him the disciples of Him.
Als er aber die Volksmengen sah, stieg er auf den Berg; und als er sich gesetzt hatte, traten seine Jünger zu ihm.
2 And opening the mouth of Him He was teaching them saying:
Und er tat seinen Mund auf, lehrte sie und sprach:
3 Blessed [are] the poor in the spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Glückselig die Armen im Geiste, denn ihrer ist das Reich der Himmel.
4 Blessed [are] those mourning, for they themselves will be comforted.
Glückselig die Trauernden, denn sie werden getröstet werden.
5 Blessed [are] the meek, for they themselves will inherit the earth.
Glückselig die Sanftmütigen, denn sie werden das Land ererben.
6 Blessed [are] those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they themselves will be filled.
Glückselig die nach der Gerechtigkeit hungern und dürsten, denn sie werden gesättigt werden.
7 Blessed [are] the merciful, for they themselves will receive mercy.
Glückselig die Barmherzigen, denn ihnen wird Barmherzigkeit widerfahren.
8 Blessed [are] the pure in heart, for they themselves God will see.
Glückselig die reinen Herzens sind, [W. die Reinen im [von] Herzen] denn sie werden Gott schauen.
9 Blessed [are] the peacemakers, for they themselves sons of God will be called.
Glückselig die Friedensstifter, denn sie werden Söhne Gottes heißen.
10 Blessed [are] those persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Glückselig die um Gerechtigkeit willen Verfolgten, denn ihrer ist das Reich der Himmel.
11 Blessed are you when they may insult you and they may persecute [you] and they may say all kinds of evil (declaration *k) against you lying on account of Me.
Glückselig seid ihr, wenn sie euch schmähen und verfolgen und jedes böse Wort lügnerisch wider euch reden werden um meinetwillen.
12 do rejoice and do exult, for the reward of you [is] great in the heavens; thus for they persecuted the prophets before you.
Freuet euch und frohlocket, denn euer Lohn ist groß in den Himmeln; denn also haben sie die Propheten verfolgt, die vor euch waren.
13 You yourselves are the salt of the earth; if however the salt shall become tasteless, with what will it be salted? For no [thing] it is useful any longer only except for (being cast *N+kO) out (and *k) is to be trampled upon by men.
Ihr seid das Salz der Erde; wenn aber das Salz kraftlos [O. fade] geworden ist, womit soll es gesalzen werden? Es taugt zu nichts mehr, als hinausgeworfen und von den Menschen zertreten zu werden.
14 You yourselves are the light of the world; Not is able a city to be hidden on a hill lying;
Ihr seid das Licht der Welt; eine Stadt, die oben auf einem Berge liegt, kann nicht verborgen sein.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket but upon the lampstand, and it shines for all those in the house.
Man zündet auch nicht eine Lampe an und setzt sie unter den Scheffel sondern auf das Lampengestell, und sie leuchtet allen, die im Hause sind.
16 Thus should shine the light of you before men so that they may see your good works and they may glorify the Father of you who [is] in the heavens.
Also [d. h. so wie die Lampe in v 15] lasset euer Licht leuchten vor den Menschen, damit sie eure guten [O. rechtschaffenen] Werke sehen und euren Vater, der in den Himmeln ist, verherrlichen.
17 Not may think that I have come to abolish the law or the Prophets; not I have come to abolish but to fulfill.
Wähnet nicht, daß ich gekommen sei, das Gesetz oder die Propheten aufzulösen; ich bin nicht gekommen, aufzulösen, sondern zu erfüllen. [d. h. in ganzer Fülle darzustellen]
18 Amen for I say to you; until when may pass away the heaven and the earth, iota one or one stroke of a letter certainly not may pass away from the law until when everything may happen.
Denn wahrlich, ich sage euch: Bis daß der Himmel und die Erde vergehen, soll auch nicht ein Jota oder ein Strichlein von dem Gesetz vergehen, bis alles geschehen ist.
19 Who[ever] if then shall break one of the commandments of these the least and shall teach so the others, least he will be called in the kingdom of the heavens. who[ever] now maybe may keep and may teach [them], this [one] great will be called in the kingdom of the heavens.
Wer irgend nun eines dieser geringsten Gebote auflöst und also die Menschen lehrt, wird der Geringste heißen im Reiche der Himmel; wer irgend aber sie tut und lehrt, dieser wird groß heißen im Reiche der Himmel.
20 I say for to you that only unless shall abound your righteousness above [that] of the scribes and Pharisees, certainly not shall you enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
Denn ich sage euch: Wenn nicht eure Gerechtigkeit vorzüglicher ist als die der Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, so werdet ihr nicht in das Reich der Himmel eingehen.
21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients; Not you will murder; who[ever] now maybe may murder, liable will be to the judgment;’
Ihr habt gehört, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: Du sollst nicht töten; wer aber irgend töten wird, wird dem Gericht verfallen sein.
22 I myself however say to you that everyone who is being angry with the brother of him (in vain *KO) liable will be to the judgment; who[ever] now maybe may say to the brother of him; Raca,’ liable will be to the Sanhedrin; who[ever] now maybe may say; Fool, liable will be to the hell of fire. Ich aber sage euch, daß jeder, der seinem Bruder ohne Grund zürnt, dem Gericht verfallen sein wird; wer aber irgend zu seinem Bruder sagt: Raka! [Ein Ausdruck der Verachtung: Tor, Taugenichts] dem Synedrium verfallen sein wird; wer aber irgend sagt: Du Narr! [O. Verrückter; auch: Gottloser] der Hölle des Feuers verfallen sein wird. 23 If therefore you shall offer the gift of you at the altar and there and there shall remember that the brother of you has something against you,
Wenn du nun deine Gabe darbringst zu dem Altar und dich daselbst erinnerst, daß dein Bruder etwas wider dich habe,
24 do leave there the gift of you before the altar and do go away, first do be reconciled to the brother of you, and then having come do offer the gift of you.
so laß daselbst deine Gabe vor dem Altar und geh zuvor hin, versöhne dich mit deinem Bruder; und dann komm und bringe deine Gabe dar.
25 do be agreeing with the accuser of you quickly before which you are with him on the way otherwise otherwise you shall deliver the accuser to the judge, and the judge (you he may betray *KO) to the officer, and into prison you will be cast.
Willfahre deiner Gegenpartei [O. deinem [der] Widersacher; wie anderswo] schnell, während du mit ihr auf dem Wege bist; damit nicht etwa die Gegenpartei [O. deinem [der] Widersacher; wie anderswo] dich dem Richter überliefere, und der Richter dich dem Diener überliefere, und du ins Gefängnis geworfen werdest.
26 Amen I say to you; certainly not you may come out from there until when you may pay the last kodranten!
Wahrlich, ich sage dir: du wirst nicht von dannen herauskommen, bis du auch den letzten Pfennig [W. Quadrans= 2 Lepta od. 1 Pfennig] bezahlt hast.
27 You have heard that it was said (to the ancients: *K) Not will you commit adultery.’
Ihr habt gehört, daß gesagt ist: Du sollst nicht ehebrechen.
28 I myself however say to you that everyone who is looking upon a woman in order to lust after (her *N+kO) already has committed adultery with her in the heart of him.
Ich aber sage euch, daß jeder, der ein Weib ansieht, ihrer zu begehren, schon Ehebruch mit ihr begangen hat in seinem Herzen.
29 If now the eye of you right causes to stumble you, do pluck out it and do cast [it] from you; it is better indeed for you that may perish one of the members of you and not all the body of you may be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
Wenn aber dein rechtes Auge dich ärgert, [d. h. dir zum Fallstrick wird] so reiß es aus und wirf es von dir; denn es ist dir nütze, daß eines deiner Glieder umkomme und nicht dein ganzer Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
30 And if the right of you hand causes to stumble you, do cut off it and do cast [it] from you; it is better indeed for you that may perish one of the members of you and not all the body of you into hell (may depart. *N+KO) (Geenna g1067)
Und wenn deine rechte Hand dich ärgert, [d. h. dir zum Fallstrick wird] so haue sie ab und wirf sie von dir; denn es ist dir nütze, daß eines deiner Glieder umkomme und nicht dein ganzer Leib in die Hölle geworfen werde. (Geenna g1067)
31 It was said also (that: *k) Who[ever] maybe may divorce the wife of him, he should give to her a letter of divorce.’
Es ist aber gesagt: Wer irgend sein Weib entlassen wird, gebe ihr einen Scheidebrief.
32 I myself however say to you that (everyone who is divorcing *N+kO) the wife of him except on account of sexual immorality causes her (to be adulterated; *N+KO) And who[ever] if divorced shall marry, commits adultery.
Ich aber sage euch: Wer irgend sein Weib entlassen wird, außer auf Grund von Hurerei, macht, daß sie Ehebruch begeht; und wer irgend eine Entlassene heiratet, begeht Ehebruch.
33 Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients; Not will you swear falsely, you will keep now to the Lord the oaths of you.
Wiederum habt ihr gehört, daß zu den Alten gesagt ist: Du sollst nicht fälschlich schwören, du sollst aber dem Herrn deine Eide erfüllen.
34 I myself however say to you not to swear at all, neither [swear] by heaven because [the] throne it is of God,
Ich aber sage euch: Schwöret überhaupt nicht; weder bei dem Himmel, denn er ist Gottes Thron;
35 nor [swear] by the earth because [the] footstool it is of the feet of Him, nor [swear] by Jerusalem because [the] city it is of the great King,
noch bei der Erde, denn sie ist seiner Füße Schemel; noch bei Jerusalem, denn sie ist des großen Königs Stadt;
36 nor by the head of you may you swear because not you are able one hair white to make or black.
noch sollst du bei deinem Haupte schwören, denn du vermagst nicht, ein Haar weiß oder schwarz zu machen.
37 should be however the statement of you Yes Yes, [and] ‘No ‘No; The however excessive of these from evil comes.
Es sei aber eure Rede: Ja, ja; nein, nein; was aber mehr ist als dieses, ist aus dem Bösen.
38 You have heard that it was said; Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
Ihr habt gehört, daß gesagt ist: Auge um Auge, und Zahn um Zahn.
39 I myself however say to you not to resist the evil [person]. Instead whoever you (strike on *N+kO) the right cheek of you, do turn to him also the other;
Ich aber sage euch: Widerstehet nicht dem Bösen, sondern wer irgend dich auf deinen rechten Backen schlagen wird, dem biete auch den anderen dar;
40 and to the [one] willing you to sue and the tunic of you to take, do yield to him also the cloak;
und dem, der mit dir vor Gericht gehen [O. rechten] und deinen Leibrock [O. dein Unterkleid; so auch später] nehmen will, dem laß auch den Mantel.
41 and whoever you will compel to go mile one, do go with him two.
Und wer irgend dich zwingen wird, eine Meile zu gehen, mit dem geh zwei.
42 To the [one] asking you (do give *N+kO) and the [one] desiring from you to borrow not may you turn away from.
Gib dem, der dich bittet, und weise den nicht ab, [O. wende dich nicht von dem ab] der von dir borgen will.
43 You have heard that it was said; You will love the neighbour of you and will hate the enemy of you.’
Ihr habt gehört, daß gesagt ist: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben und deinen Feind hassen.
44 I myself however say to you; do love the enemies of you (do bless those cursing you well do *K) (to those hating *K+o) (you *K) and do pray for those (mistreating you and *K) persecuting you,
Ich aber sage euch: Liebet eure Feinde, segnet, die euch fluchen, tut wohl denen, die euch hassen, und betet für die, die euch beleidigen und verfolgen,
45 so that you may be sons of the Father of you who is in (the *o) heavens, For the sun of Him He makes rise on evil and good and He sends rain on righteous and unrighteous.
damit ihr Söhne eures Vaters seid, der in den Himmeln ist; denn er läßt seine Sonne aufgehen über Böse und Gute und läßt regnen über Gerechte und Ungerechte.
46 If for you shall love those loving you, what reward have you? Surely also the tax collectors the (same *NK+o) do?
Denn wenn ihr liebet, die euch lieben, welchen Lohn habt ihr? Tun nicht auch die Zöllner dasselbe?
47 And if you shall greet the (brothers *NK+O) of you only, what excessive do you? Surely also the (Gentiles *N+KO) (the *no) (same *N+kO) do?
Und wenn ihr eure Brüder allein grüßet, was tut ihr Besonderes? Tun nicht auch die von den Nationen dasselbe?
48 Will be therefore you yourselves perfect (how *N+kO) the Father of you who (Heavenly *N+KO) perfect is.
Ihr nun sollt vollkommen sein, wie euer himmlischer Vater vollkommen ist.
